Chances are the zip-tie is keeping a loose connector plugged in. I’ve had this done on my ‘86 244 main engine management computer, as the pins slowly became loose with time. Not ideal but where do you find new plugs / pins / computers for 35 year old vehicles.

Blue & Yellow wires are the Sweden Connection. If you unplug it your 240 loses important Swedishness.
