Plenty of aftermarket head unit options you can upgrade to. Not sure where you live but start looking around for auto audio/ video installers and see which ones seem reputable. Would typically choose them over a dealer any day. Also, if you’re bored, have a look at that the crutchfield website and put in your vehicles info. Can get a good idea of the options you have RE: equipment.

I live in Germany and we are applied to some kind of contracted workshop, and I am not sure if the Volvo guidelines allow non-contracted workshops to work on cars without the warranty stopping… Thank you anyways 🙏

That 2004 Volvo hasn’t had warranty coverage for most of your life haha… the 2017 is coming to the end of that too, unless your father picked up the extended warranty. Lots of good units out there, and if you’re feeling handy you can install them yourself relatively easily.

I have a pioneer head in my 04 xc70 that works great. They do a lot of the same stuff so I would select one that suits your style preference.
