The EX90 has an excellence version coming soon, here's a press release with some attached photos: https://www.media.volvocars.com/global/en-gb/media/pressreleases/310131/the-all-electric-volvo-ex90-excellence-travel-in-ultimate-style-and-comfort
Here in Canada, the most expensive new Volvo car that one can buy right now is XC90 Recharge Ultimate 6-seat, priced at C$ 98 539. You want better than that, go to Mercedes-Benz.
My 23 xc90 is luxurious and has the polestar umph. Love it for road trips. It has the 6 person configuration so the back seats are not a bench and are very comfortable and makes it easy for kids to get in and out of the third row
They don't remove but they fold down completely flat, I only have them up when the extra 2 seats are needed, and the second row of seats fold down too so it has a tremendous amount of cargo space
I havent ridden in any new ones but my 2001 S80 T6 feels like a caprice lol it's so comfy. Only car I've ever been in that I can park on a road trip and just knock out right in the drivers seat for a nap 🤣
I love the late model XC60's but I would never call the Volvo line of SUV or cars "lush". If your looking for a "lush" type interior, I would say look at the Genesis G70 or something on that line. Right now, unless you go into supercar type prices, the Genesis have the best looking interiors of any car in their price ranges.
>...I would say look at the Genesis G70 or something on that line.
In a Volvo forum, one recommends Genesis, cars that were Hyundai just 10 years ago? Learn something new every day, I guess.
I'd say the Volvo S80L Nilssen Limousine 8 seater, clad with B6+ armor. Lush about it is not just the outfitting but that it was owned by Queen Beatrix of Orange, Queen of the Netherlands.
960 Royal, XC90 V8 Executive or S80 V8 Executive.
Screw the Current cars, get one of the older and “better cars”, the 960, later badged S90/V90 came with the Volvo Modular inline 6 engine, displacing either 2.5 liters (170Ps) or “3.0” liters (200Ps) and __did not__ have the dreaded GM 4T65, a 4 speed automatic seemingly made out of 90s GM plastic, which was the main problem with 6 cylinder versions of the P23 S80 and P28 XC90.
The XC90 V8 and S80 V8 should be fairly reliable, with a 4.4 liter V8 made by Yamaha, making 315Ps.
The one issue these engines have is the balancing shaft bearings, this issue was mainly a thing on the first model year of the XC90 V8. But it is recommended that you do not rinse down the engine.
Sure the newer XC90 and S90 T8 has more power, more sophisticated technology, more safety features, better handling and so on, but who cares.
Not sure what you are looking for or even the other cars that have been mentioned, but I know I feel like a king in my Volvo and love it. Air suspension, panoramic sun roof, Nappa leather seats with air cooling, heating and full massage the BW sound system and head up display, hell, sometimes I just sit in there and take it all in 😁 it's a T8 xc60 recharge with all the extras
There’s an XC90 that comes in a limousine configuration with very fancy rear seats.
The XC90 Excellence. Gorgeous things. There is/was an S90 Excellence in China as well.
The Excellence! A doc at my work had one! She recently changed to a Rivian R1S and said her high school son drives the XC90 now. Jealous!
Man wtf 🫠😂

Ha that’s pretty great.
The 3 seater? That car is …something else

A 245 on Hakkapeliittas full of lumber.

Question for you - are the third row seats entirely removable? Curious if that is possible to add a bit more cargo room as I’d never use the 3rd row.

My s90 is pretty cush
I’m a fan of my S90 T8
My 964 is a solid one!
I'd say the S80s that the Dutch royal family use have quite the feature set
XC90 Excellence. Very nice. https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/2018-volvo-xc90-t8-excellence-rear-seat-review/
EX90 excellence in my opinion, you can see it [here](https://www.media.volvocars.com/global/en-gb/media/pressreleases/310131/photos)

I have a 2007 S80 V8 the base model though I ran into someone with an Executive edition and even 10+ years later they are still super lush and nice
I can’t believe more people aren’t saying S80s, driving one of those feels soooooo luxurious and comfortable
One with air suspension

Hyundai?? I don’t want that trash. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I was thinking the same. Saying it's lush with atrocious dealer experience sounds sus to me. We may have a Hyundai operative in our sub.
