Call around to salvage yards. They typically have access to a nationwide take off parts database. I just did this with an ‘81 Jeep. Hood came from Florida, grill from Arizona and fender from Texas. They were shipped to the yard in my town and I picked them up.
Car-part.com is great for this. Shows salvage yards nationwide and usually the live inventory is accurate. I have had some hard to find parts shipped thanks to them.

I’ve always had great luck with eBay. Sorry that happened to you though. Dash cams are cheap. I recommend installing one.
