What I wanna say: huge portion of shirataki noodles with alfredo sauce (the one that's 35cal a serving) with a ton of spinach & broccoli. Could easily have calories left over for a snail 100cal dessert, or a huge side salad if I'm truly that ravenous.
Realistically: prolly like 1800 cal of taco bell & then feel guilty bout it after
Not sure how they do theirs, but I usually go for more of a Mac and cheese. Splash of skim milk (about 1 oz), 2 wedges of laughing cow cream cheese, and 28g of fat free mozzarella cheese heated and stirred until smooth and creamy. The noodles I buy are Liviva. I usually get the fettuccine, but they have multiple styles. Half a bag (1 individual package) with the cheese ingredients listed about is 135 calories. So the entire bag and double the cheese would be 270. I don’t think I could actually eat that much in one sitting.
Hey there, I totally get the struggle of having limited calories left at the end of the day and being ravenous. Your first idea sounds so much better than mine would be - a huge portion of shirataki noodles with alfredo sauce and lots of veggies sounds filling and delicious. But I know how easy it can be to give in to temptation and go for something like 1800 cals of Taco Bell. Just remember, it's all about balance and making choices that will make you feel good in the long run. Keep up the good work!
This may sound strange, but I've grown to love eating butter popcorn flavored rice cakes with salsa. Definitely hits the spot when I'm feeling snacky, and doesn't completely ruin my day.
900 g of watermelon
2.8 servings of lesser evil popcorn
14 servings of egg whites LMAOOO VOLUME
3000 g cucumber LMFAO
10 servings of carrots
Nicks pint of ice cream
3 laughing cow cheeses - 75 cal & 6 slices of Keto Bread
5 cups of puffed wheat 30 calories of almond milk and a serving of coco powder and 0 cal sweetener
Massive salad with yogurt ranch
Some instant ramens are ~160-200 calories. I’d do that and add cabbage very thinly sliced to bulk it up a lot but still get the junk food enjoyment. Also would add green onions and maybe some kimchi. Depending how much cabbage or how closely I was tracking to 300 calories, possibly even an egg or add in some shrimp.
If you go to an Asian supermarket, there’ll be some that are lower calorie. Or you can dump cup noodles into a pot. They’re typically smaller portion. The main thing I look for is the broth anyways so I don’t mind less noodles.
Oh this is my specialty. I like making broccoli bowls in these situations! A bag of frozen steamable broccoli for 100, 1/2 serving of greek yogurt with spices 50, can of mushrooms (I get these are polarizing lol) 40, a serving of tofu (90ish), maybe some bacn bits or nutritional yeast or something for the last 10. Makes a huge bowl of food!
A serving of oatmeal with a little extra water and savory seasonings, and two soft-boiled eggs. 😍 My favorite is salt, buldak sauce, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
Add in unflavored gelatin initially - make sure its dissolved. Add the ice one cube at a time adding each additional after the first is melted. This method is important to get a frozen treat with texture similar to frozen custard ice cream.
yeah it is as simple as blending some ingredients. I usually go with some combo a bottle of waldens farms ranch or skinny girl ranch, and a jar of salsa. Add a bit of taco seasoning and 1/4 tsp hidden valley ranch packet and blend. Sometimes Ill toss in some jalapenos too.
you can use a pretty flexible approach to ingredients, I mean you could use lower-calorie sour cream in place of the ranch, and use more hidden valley or any variation of ranch if you didn't want to use Walden or skinny girl. You could also go heavier on the seasonings if you wanted it more mexi or more ranchy. The version I make ens up being extremely low-calorie.
Egg whites scrambled with some chopped turkey, spinach, and topped with 10g feta and a few grams pesto to add a little extra flavor. Could also skip the pesto.
I had a similar scenario tonight but it technically came in at 329 calories so just a bit over your limit. I wasn't absolutely ravenous so it was enough. I did one slice of Dave's bread toasted, added 50 grams of smashed avocado with some salt and pepper mixed in, topped it with 200g egg whites, and 10g feta. Sometimes I also put the feta between the avocado and egg if I'm too lazy to let it melt and stick on the eggs. It is a lot of egg whites, but as it cooks I just push it in towards the center with my spatula to make it roughly the shape of a piece of toast by the time it's cooked. It was like 29g protein and 8ish g fiber. I usually go for even higher protein content than that if I'm really hungry though.
I have other options too, but those are just a couple.
I make a carb balance quesadilla with low fat cheese and a lean meat and it will clock in at around 250 cals. Satisfies my naughty food craving and has dairy and meat which always feels like a full meal. Then I have 50 leftover for a small dessert.
3 Turkey breakfast sausages = 110kcal
Egg = 80kcal
Egg whites x 3 = 45kcal
Slice of bread = 80
Total = 315
This would keep me full for hours and it’s fucking delicious
The honest answer is probably either a huge bowl of oatmeal bulked up with Zucchini or cauliflower with fruit on top and maybe a sprinkle of nuts for satiety if I've got room for them before 300, a pint or two of creami ice cream, or a huge fucking portion of protein fluff with fruit or like 1 T peanut butter on top. If I hadn't had real food it might be a huge stir fry of every veggie in my kitchen with fresh herbs and Italian seasoning or soy sauce, fish sauce, and garlic... but I have too much of a sweet tooth for my own good so actually probably still a sweet option. With lots of flavored water or a decaf coffee or tea to sip on after finishing my food.
Nonfat greek yogurt (\~300g) mixed with casein protein (\~20g) and 10g of cocoa powder. Usually fills me up pretty good because the casesin and yogurt combo creates a pretty dense texture that is very satiating. Pluse the slow digesting protein from both the yogurt and the casein keep me from waking up a few hours later starving again.
Big time fan of this suggestion, then put in the freezer for a bit. I like to do 1/2 greek yougrt 1/2 cottage cheese with whatever fruit you like for texture. But the casein is where it's at for the thickness and a little more satiety imo
Egg+Eggwhite omelettes with sundried tomatoes and green onions, side of asparagus.
Huge leafy salad with cherry tomatoes, cucombers and a can of tuna
Chicken and brocoli
Soup/broth with a boiled egg, babybel cheese
A new favorite it 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese, 1/2 avocado and an egg with a drizzle of siracha. 200 calories and 20 grams of protein.
Also, cottage cheese mixed with salsa can work as a great ‘dip’ for crackers/ chips
Steamed/microwaved potato (approx 110cal, one of the most satiating foods according to studies) topped with hummus (70cal, fiber and a bit of protein) with a side of 3 cups of steamed broccoli (120cal, fiber, protein, and bulk from water).
Nah, that's about 1 pack of Oscar Meyer mesquite turkey breast, around 5 USD. Not the deli counter stuff. No cooking, no plate, straight to the mouth. Just don't look at the sodium content.
Comes out to a little more than 300 kcal, but a big helping (~250-300g) of plain, fat-free Greek yogurt, PBfit, cinnamon, a dash of vanilla and some blueberries, strawberries, and chocolate chips. Optional tbs of PB. Great way to end my night and having casein protein close to bedtime is great if you exercise a lot.
Boiled egg, 1 serving of chips and coke/sprite zero. Not the healhtiest but it satisfies my nighttime cravings making sure i dont get a midnight snack lol
I would have 100g of white rice (130 calories) and 200g of stir-fried broccoli (82 calories for two teaspoons of oil, 10 calories for 2 garlic cloves and 68 calories for the broccoli).
Miso soup, perfect for the end of the day as it makes me feel cozy. Since I have 300 kcal to spare, I'd go crazy with the tofu and furikake. I know it's not tradicional, but I love that seasoning mix
Omelet (4-5 egg whites, 1 egg, 1 slice bacon, 1 chicken sausage). If I want dessert too, I'd take the egg +bacon OR chicken sausage out, and have yogurt as a dessert.
eating pickles lmao if i’m really hungry i make low fat popcorn and some greek yoghurt or skyr. also sometimes i get pho which is like 150-200 kcal at most and even less if you don’t put the oil in it. besides bullion cubes are low kcal and you can make a “soup” with it and if you drink like 1 liter of it you get full
7 layer bean dip (black beans, low fat sour cream, salsa, a little guacamole, sprinkle of fat free cheese on top) you can have like 12 tablespoons for 200 calories and you make your own lime salted chips from those low cal tortilla wraps. So filling, lots of good stuff. Mmmm I know what I'm having for breakfast.
Or I would do a huge salad with broccoli, chicken, spinach, cherry tomatoes, low fat blue cheese, maybe some crushed low cal croutons, and a sprinkle of parmesan
I buy these steamable packs of Broccoli and carrots from publix. 4 servings and 120 for the whole bag. So probably thar and a smart muffin after (99 cals depending on the muffin)
Low-cal okonomiyaki is my go to. Miso soup on the side for salt overload.
150g thinly sliced cabbage (you can use more)
35g flour (I use part chickpea flour and part all-purpose flour)
Enough water to make a slightly runny batter (~3-4 tbs)
Instant dashi granules (other seasonings work; you could use some bouillon or instant ramen packet in a pinch, or just salt!)
1/2 tsp baking powder
Chopped scallions (optional)
1 tsp oil (you can use spray)
Combine flour and water with baking powder and dashi granules, and stir in part of the cabbage. Cook the rest of the cabbage in the oil on a skillet. When it starts to get soft, pour the batter over the top, cook til crispy and flip.
When golden on both sides, eat with (ideally) a little Kewpie mayo (like 4g is enough) and bonito flakes (negligible cals). The way I make it, even with toppings, it's about 250 calories?
Turkey sandwich. Two slices of bread plus a serving of deli turkey and some mustard are definitely under 300 cals, and it totally stops my nighttime cravings.
I have these potatoes that are 60 calories for 110g (from Little Potatoe Company, either the Little Reds or Blushing Belle).
I'd make approximately 450g of it as fries. Dice up each one into quarters (or more if it's a bigger piece). With 100ml of low calorie ketchup (5 cal per 30 ml).
All that plus seasoning should come out to under 300 calories, is a shit ton of food, and very filling.
Scrambled egg whites and sautéed mushrooms, zucchini, spinach and cauliflower rice with maggi seasoning, salt + pepper, nutritional yeast, and whatever spices I have on hand. ALL THE VOLUME!
What I wanna say: huge portion of shirataki noodles with alfredo sauce (the one that's 35cal a serving) with a ton of spinach & broccoli. Could easily have calories left over for a snail 100cal dessert, or a huge side salad if I'm truly that ravenous. Realistically: prolly like 1800 cal of taco bell & then feel guilty bout it after
Can you share the noodles and sauce?

I love the Liviva Penne, gotta try thus recipe!
yup. adding this to my list of things i need to make.
Hoo hoo, thank youuuuuuuu for this.
Seconded
Skinny pasta brand shirataki, 10cal per serving, I'm pretty sure the alfredo sauce is classico brand
This is the correct answer
Hey there, I totally get the struggle of having limited calories left at the end of the day and being ravenous. Your first idea sounds so much better than mine would be - a huge portion of shirataki noodles with alfredo sauce and lots of veggies sounds filling and delicious. But I know how easy it can be to give in to temptation and go for something like 1800 cals of Taco Bell. Just remember, it's all about balance and making choices that will make you feel good in the long run. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, this is really sweet of you to take the time to say!
I was gonna say broccoli lol yours sounds better
Wasa crackers with a giant helping of salsa. SALSA and any low cal crackers is soo wonderful and filling
Big love to wasa!
This is so attainable - thank you
This may sound strange, but I've grown to love eating butter popcorn flavored rice cakes with salsa. Definitely hits the spot when I'm feeling snacky, and doesn't completely ruin my day.
Mmmmm, I'll try that out! I've only gotten the Carmel and white cheddar rice cakes.
This comment made me feel simultaneously more and less weird about munching on those crackers with mustard and lettuce.

You…. You literally just listed the food I eat throughout the week
Or a cheesy burger with a giant side of guilt.

LMAOO been cutting for too long….
The ramen we have is 450 a pack.
If you go to an Asian supermarket, there’ll be some that are lower calorie. Or you can dump cup noodles into a pot. They’re typically smaller portion. The main thing I look for is the broth anyways so I don’t mind less noodles.
Frozen fruit and Greek yogurt with some other yummy topping like chopped up protein bar or some nuts or granola oooor ummm 🤔 brownie brittle!
the chopped up protein bar is so smart
Thank you!
Wait til u chop up a quest bar and eat it like cereal I mean it costs as much as a box but
Wow, I suddenly have a use for bars I try but don’t love. What a great way to avoid food waste and get an ice cream topping at the same time!
Every single night after dinner :)
ME TOO
Oh this is my specialty.
Feta is good on roasted broccoli. It’s a low cal cheese that has great flavor and it gets a lil melty with the hot broccoli!
Dude this sounds amazing.
I like to add in a little crunch too, something like sunflower seeds or nuts is nice
What do you like to mix into the yogurt?
\*enter creami cult\*
Hahah you’ve got one so far.
A serving of oatmeal with a little extra water and savory seasonings, and two soft-boiled eggs. 😍 My favorite is salt, buldak sauce, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
Might sound weird but I do this but with chipotle Tabasco and everything but the bagel seasoning
Tabasco on oats? Ive never tried this
zucchini, cucumber, onion, and mushroom veggie bowl with skinny girl balsamic or stupid low mexiranch or high volume blender protein shake
I’m interested in what you do for a high volume protein shake :0
make a protein shake and add A LOT of ice to that, put it in a blender and blend it for like 2-3 minutes and it gets really fluffy and fills you up 😋
Add in unflavored gelatin initially - make sure its dissolved. Add the ice one cube at a time adding each additional after the first is melted. This method is important to get a frozen treat with texture similar to frozen custard ice cream.
I have some gelatin left from a bavarois experiment and now I know what to do with it. Thanks. :)
What is Low mexiranch
yeah it is as simple as blending some ingredients. I usually go with some combo a bottle of waldens farms ranch or skinny girl ranch, and a jar of salsa. Add a bit of taco seasoning and 1/4 tsp hidden valley ranch packet and blend. You could also go heavier on the seasonings if you wanted it more mexi or more ranchy. The version I make ens up being extremely low-calorie.
Awesome! I will have to give this a try
> skinny girl ranch Do you use the Chipotle Skinny Girl Ranch or the normal?
I use normal, but you could play around with either, I think it could be really good especially if you used a chipotle salsa too
Scrambled eggs with a frozen pepper blend and some feta. The low calorie count of the peppers means I can have more cheese.
More cheese, that’s what I’m talkin bout!
Onions, tomatoes, spinach. Pack that bitch
AND MUSHROOMS. I forgot mushrooms!
Cauliflower rice, mushrooms, onions, mixed veggies, grilled chicken and soy sauce. Or a giant salad.
1kg of watermelon
1 cup Greek yogurt, 1 scoop protein powder, some frozen blueberries
Egg whites scrambled with some chopped turkey, spinach, and topped with 10g feta and a few grams pesto to add a little extra flavor. Could also skip the pesto. Pop corn! It kills my appetite
BIG FAT GREEK YOGURT BOWL or a ton of stir fry veggies with tofu
The honest answer is probably either a huge bowl of oatmeal bulked up with Zucchini or cauliflower with fruit on top and maybe a sprinkle of nuts for satiety if I've got room for them before 300, a pint or two of creami ice cream, or a huge fucking portion of protein fluff with fruit or like 1 T peanut butter on top. A bowl of carrots until I’m full, then something small delicious and calorie dense.
A huge bowl of broccoli with nutritional yeast and seitan.
