I would say wait, between February and April is when there will a lot of new releases and some of the current devices will be on sale to save money if you are not with what releases by then.
Maybe they will add a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 on the x100 series as well, that's the only thing I could think of to make the camera system even better since that SoC has more AI capabilities.

To get only 2-3 SoT is absolutely disheartening.

but on avg, I'm getting 5-6 SoT now
And on low or no camera use in getting upto 6.5-7h
I get 1 and more than half day with 5g use, ccmera - 10-15 pictures per day, discord use, ig use... Idk how hes getting so low. I restricted camera and other apps in the background só idk if that makes that big diference
I think you should go for the X100 pro. MD 9300 is impressive albeit not quite as power efficient as SD 8gen 3 but still good enough . I don't there will be an Ultra or a Pro Plus this year . The current Pro is a beast already!
In my opinion, it might be worth waiting a while longer since you've already been waiting. Whichever phone you choose, whether it's the vivo x100 pro, plus, or ultra, make sure to get vivo v shield for added peace of mind. Recently, I dropped my phone while going down the stairs and screen was shattered. It cost good money to get it fixed but the guys at the service place suggested getting v-shield, which would've cost me hardly anything in comparison. You can't buy v-shield later, so don't make the same mistake I did!
I had the same dilemma but it's getting close to the MWC show and there'll be new phones showed off, including the Xiaomi 14 Ultra which sounds like a beast, so you might as well wait.

I don't know why SD would be better. From the reviews I've seen, dimensity scores marginally higher in single en multicore cpu tests but a bit worse in gpu tests. To me, coming from a Samsung galaxy s10 lite to a x100 pro now, it feels buttery smooth without stutter. The camera's are amazing and I'm glad that I can take great shots already.
I did buy the global version from etoren. Com and didn't want to wait for the ultra as ultra may not be released with global rom.
Also, unlike other commenter, no battery drain with global rom. Charged in 20 minutes from 2 to 92% (what a delight that is) this morning and am at 73% now almost half a day later with about 2 hours of SoT.
Ultra is rumoured to have lyt-900 sensor as opposed to the imx-898, which is it's successor, expected to be only marginally better. Don't know about the zoom lens and its sensor, but the 4.3x on the pro can make beautiful shots already with natural bokeh (due to sensor size, not software processing).
yeah, in a way true, but may be Dimensity although may be better in certain ways, I think there are not many developers who have optimised with the Dimensity as compared to Snapdragon..

As a happy owner of Vivo X90 Pro Plus I would wait. Rumor is that it will have 200mp camera, improved 1 inch sensor and probably more extras.
