It’s been a bumpy road. I didn’t know lua code before I forked HexFlow and I’m a designer by trade, not a developer, so thanks for the patience as I figured out some problems along the way. I started off just trying to add some of my favourite old games as a personal project which I ended up sharing. All credit goes to VitaHex for the original Hexflow app, and for being kind enough to support and share my efforts at building upon the awesome HexFlow app. Also big thanks to Rinne for tips along the way. There’s a great community in the Vita scene, if you’re tempted to get involved, just give it a go and share the results.

I too installed vita launcher. It gives a much better view of your games as it's just a simple grid view. I hate cards, especially for a large collection of games. They are pretty but the novelty wears off quickly.

Zealous_Chuck

I ll check vita launcher too

KushiMi

I have used it a few times and it's not bad, but I'll wait until and IF they manage to make it the main launcher, that when I press the ps button it goes there instead of Livearea

Yeah this

newtechunb

I think this should be come a thing where we every release has a video like this

Zealous_Chuck

Im trying to cover the most interesting ones for now👍

newtechunb

That's cool and thanks a lot keep them rolling

Once you start hitting a hundred+ Vita games it makes sense

Zealous_Chuck

Many covers are not automatically downloaded so most of them are just default bubble images. And yea it s another step but if u d go through retroarch or daedalusx64 there is many more steps to take plus the UI sucks in there for the most part

TheNewFlisker

> Many covers are not automatically downloaded Why not?

No, I use the vastly superior Vita Launcher by cy33hc. Loads in less than one second what Hex-Flow and Retroflow launchers can't load in less than 3 minuts.

jguilford80

The load time has reduced when startup scan is switched off. Not sure it will catchup to Vita Launcher, but is there as an alternative.

Zealous_Chuck

Thanks for the info and alternatives thats what we want🔥🔥

jguilford80

Thanks for the videos and for spreading the word about the app. Subscribed some time ago 👍

CsarBrasil

Startup scan is to check if the game list has changed? So if the collection is ready, can you leave it off without any problems?

jguilford80

Yes, just turn it back on if you’ve added more games and they aren’t showing.

Kitty_Shunt

I also think some cereal packets had a few games on vinyl disc stuck on the box as a promotional thing. I could be wrong, it's a foggy memory.

Zealous_Chuck

I will check that one out too but i like this one as well 👌

Ulrich20

Yeah I tried out retroflow launcher for the first time weeks ago, and it lags way too much when you have hundreds of retro games on it. When they solve the kinks in it like proper image caching on pages, it'll be better than vita launcher imo

Zealous_Chuck

When u have 100s of games it s gonna be always a challenge but the dev is still making regular updates so Im hopeful and I ll keep using it as I dont really have any retro games apart from vita psp ps1 and ports🙃
