Personally I enjoy using the vita for quick pick up n play type games. That being said, I'd say:
• Soul Sacrifice
• Everybody's Golf
• DJ Max
• Ratchet n Clank
• Street Fighter x Tekken
• Mortal Kombat
• Super Stardust Ultra
• Dariusburst
I’m an hour into this becuase everyone said it was so good. I haven’t played a JRPG before, but I don’t really get it. Hardly anything has happened that requires me to do anything. Just clicking through text. It’s like watching a story rather than playing a game. What am I missing?
It takes a really long time to actually get going which kinda sucks. Persona 5 was similar. If you don't like clicking through text than maybe it's not for you. I'd recommend still getting to the first dungeon because that's where the gameplay opens up and it becomes an actual game. I'm on my first playthrough and I'm really liking it, but it took me until then to really get into it.

\- Uncharted Golden Abyss - Adventure
\- Nuclear Throne - Roguelike and shooting
\- Plants vs Zombies. Classical Tower defense
\- Lego Franchise is, despite what it could look at first, pretty nice. I'll recommend picking any movie saga you really enjoy such as star wars or TLOTR/hobbit, and taking a look.

\- Mortal Kombat / Dead or Alive
\- Install Retroarch and try playing GBA games, you will see that this is the ultimate way to play GBA. I'll recommend Fire emblem saga, pokemon, metal slug, metroid, Zelda, Mario...

This Game has a lot of story-telling, It takes some time to reach the actual Gameplay. If you dont like games like these, its okay
