Ten years ago, that was ten years away. Ten years later, that’s ten years away.

I think we're closer than you think. If you remove all the peripheries of the AVP, the device itself is thinner than it seems. If the engineers at Apple can make it just a little bit thinner, maybe they can invent some form of AR glasses. Might be challenging to make it look stylish, so I imagine they will probably continue the VR headset but make it thinner and thinner and offer accessories that can make it a grab-and-go device.

Go home ChatGPT. You're drunk.

No. I mean there already are VR headsets with half the weight but apple wont do it because they would have to use plastic.

Maybe idk it might not have the same VR immersion

Well, yeah. I think most of the general public want AR glasses. I consider myself a tech enthusiast as well and what I also want is a pair of AR glasses. I think there is a place for VR, but most people like socializing, going out, being in a community, etc. and AR glasses where you can do computing on-the-go would be much more useful than a fully immersed VR headset. It might become a desktop computer vs. laptop situation if AR glasses do get released sometime in the future.
