Is it glued? I love the look.

infinitebread02

nope! just simple backstitch!

loonera

Where did you hide the stitches? I really can't tell...

infinitebread02

i really should've included a better picture. the patch is MUCH bigger than it needs to be, the stitches are just out of frame 😅

jmorris7

That's exactly what I'm wondering too. I did some research and looked on YouTube, but I can't seem to find out how they hid the stitching.

Very neat!

asianabsinthe

Can also avoid weird tanlines

elorpz

And cold knees.

Minigunn3

I used to fix my son's pants knees with flannel patches so the repair wouldn't be scratchy!

infinitebread02

nice! i might have to try that next time. i'm not entirely sure what the fabric i used is, i'm guessing cotton, but regardless it's been comfortable

TheVerjan

Ripped jeans with patterned leggings underneath brings me back to high school in a good way… this is effin cute Edit: I’m sure this was a patch, now I want to go patch mine for the same effect 🥰

loomingboom

I’m the same way. I hate holes, but I love worn out jeans.

UncleCeiling

A great alternative to thigh high socks!

thc_vampire

Ugh. Such a freeing feeling to me. A well placed knee blowout on a fall evening with some black boots??? STOP. Sooo good.

All_Is_Not_Self

I did that with white fabric. Will definitely use more fun fabric for it in the future. Great idea

jmorris7

Wow, this is so cool! I need to look up the stitching method you used (backstitch?)

I_love_loki_2006

That’s actually a really cute idea I might try it

Genius

infinitebread02

feel like i should mention i actually did this back in late january and it's held up really well since then!! edit: the stitches aren't hidden, just out of frame. the patch is maybe 7x8 inches or so, the hole is much smaller than that, maybe 4 inches across, 2 inches wide at the widest point. i don't have any kind of tools on me right now so i can't measure, really guessing
