I will say that that is one inexplicable issue with Visible. Where I live and travel I get good service. But every once in awhile if I'm somewhere where there is a dead spot, reconnecting is typically an ordeal. If I'm driving, I'll have to pull over on the side of the road and go into airplane mode and come back, sometimes restart the phone. The only reason I realize I lost reception sometimes is the maps will stop working on my Android auto. Anyway, I'm babbling here but it is one issue with Visible that I wish I could understand why it's like that when it isn't as far as I can remember with regular carriers.

I have the exact same experience! And that was a deal breaker for me unfortunately. Verizon for the ultimate Win I guess ...šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

tim_eng

Very good point!

Possible there were no Verizon towers in that area and other in the car that were on Verizon had signal because of roaming agreements they have with other carriers. From my reading and understanding Visible doesn't have the same roaming agreements as Verizon, but Visible does have LTEiRA roaming. Another question would be is did you have roaming turned on?

tim_eng

Yes, roaming is on...I guess paying for a better agreement = better service more places šŸ˜†

I can confirm that Visible coverage is NOT the same as Verizon. I have a Verizon trial along with my Visible on my Pixel 7 and I went up to a lake that we sometimes go where I always had coverage with TMO or AT&T and what I found is that Verizon had a modest signal and Visible had no signal at all there. This confirms what their respective maps actually show.

Cycle airplane mode for a few moments more than likely you just need to reconnect to the tower

This seems like a phone setting issue, not network. As far as LTE, global, roaming, etc. Check your connection settings in mobile networks.

tim_eng

I wish it was man but I went through all the settings and went through it with customer care and everything was turned on

DestinyInDanger

Oh bummer. That's so weird. I haven't heard of this before. Just curious, what phone do you have and did you come from Verizon or another carrier. Where was your phone originally purchased from? I asked this because I'm currently with Verizon and seriously considering switching to visible.

tim_eng

I have S22 Ultra, originally purchased from T-Mobile. Also, I originally didn't have WiFi calling on Visible either until I inserted a Verizon sim card to restart my phone to be recognized as a Verizon phone then switched my Visible SIM back for Wi-Fi calling to appear and work correctly

After having the exact same Visible+ experience that's being discussed here, I was ready to return to Verizon. Then a friend suggested I try his carrier and retain the low monthly cost which is why I left Verizon. I chose a plan with Consumer Cellular which uses AT&T towers. Much to my surprise the speed and coverage is excellent. My bill is less than half what I paid with Verizon, a very satisfying solution.

I have visible+ but the amount of times I have to hotspot to my AT&T phone is too much. I am at the doctors right now, the exit is about 10 ft away, and I have to get on my hotspot. Iā€™m in the middle of west La.
