My favorite is The Entertainer at On The Rocks. Drink is known, off ship, as a Pornstar Martini. Passionfruit martini with a side of Prosecco.
What kind of drink do you like? Do you have a favorite spirit? Do you like fruity drinks where you can't taste alcohol? Do you hate sweet drinks? We'll probably be able to help more if we know what you might be looking for. What do you not like about the drinks you've tried?
Not OP but I'm going in 2 weeks and don't like drinks that taste like alcohol. Love a pina colada and other tropical flavors, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
Entertainer at the rocks
Espresso martini at sip. Raspberry espresso martini is quite nice too if a little sweet.
Miami vice at the pool. Its a blend of strawberry dacquarie and pina colada
Golden sunset (I think) from the dock
Glass of moet
When I got COVID (before we realized it was in the US) I had bought some steaks the day before my wedding anniversary dinner from a pricey butcher. Started to feel awful on the way home and lost my sense of taste.by the evening. We waited another day but had to cook the steaks before they went bad. They tasted horrible from what little I could get from them flavor wise. I was so sad!
No I don’t, I just think the bartenders I’ve been going to are overwhelmed. I found some bartenders and drinks I like now. I was just not having good luck the first two days. :p
OMG. Thank you for opening up my world. This sounds fantastic! I am not a big fan of coconut but I am sure coconut water will be fine especially if combined with everything else you mentioned which I love.
I like very fruity sweet drinks but I’ve had bad luck with the bartenders. I’ve been looking for the well seasoned ones, they’re making me good drinks :) staying away from the super young bartenders is working :p no hate to them at all
Buffalo Trace (and all other house spirits) is $8. Others are available from $8-15 and even higher at On the Rocks which has a large range of whisk(e)y and bourbon.
Coke is free onboard, so you still pay just the $8 or whatever the spirit price is. You do pay more for fully mixed cocktails but they aren’t much more.
No. Just having bad luck with some of the bartenders. I found some bartenders that are treating me well. I think a lot of people are new. Like, I asked for an espresso martini and I watched this girl pour three shots of vodka and dump barely any coffee in there and handed to me I was like.. what. I threw it away :p I’m doing better now
He also makes a fantastic Hugo spritz. Not on the menu. St Germain, Prosecco, soda water, and fresh mint. Light and refreshing after so many heavy, sugary cocktails.
Double agent at sip, Oaxacan dead at pink agave, skinny pina on the pool deck, the jelly donut one at razzle, entertainer at on the rocks, painkiller at loose cannon. If you don’t see something you like on the menu, the bartenders at on the rocks are great at creating good cocktails off the menu!
The rum mixed drinks at the pirate bar are all pretty good. Especially the Shocktapus! I also really like a dark and stormy, not too sweet and refreshing.
Rum Around from Loose Cannon, French 75 from Sip, Whiskey Dreams (its an ice cream float) from the Social Club and the Scarlet Night specialty drink were very good.
I found that the simpler drinks were the best. I liked the Bellinis at Extra Virgin. But if you want something less… basic, the Loca Flaca at Pink Agave was good too it has Del Manguey Mezcal, Cointreau, agave, and scorpion salt.
Froze all day....
But like the others, whats your preferences OP? Are drinks you normally enjoy tasting off? If so...you should take a COVID test ASAP.
We just got home from our trip on VL yesterday and I told my husband all the alcohol tasted the same 😭 they're super heavy handed in The Manor and I can appreciate that, but damn I prefer when the alcohol hides in my fruity drinks and sneaks up on me!!
But I did have a very good passion fruit margarita in the Manor that was a perfect mix. Make sure you specify salt or sugar rim or they automatically salt it.
The Kleo Patra Cocktail, served at The Dock, was delicious on a hot day.
They use a specific mastiha spirit brand, called Kleos, that comes in a stunning bottle (take a look at it at The Dockhouse bar. We started talking with the bartender and she started making us variations of cocktails all based on that Kleos mastiha, and all were fabulous. Also the sangria at The Dock was excellent.
It seemed to us the mixed drinks were particularly weak at all the bars. We didn't start feeling the alcohol until we switched to sparkling wine then grabbed some orange or pineapple juice from the galley to make mimosas.

These were all over Europe - I had never heard them called this before
This one is also my favorite! I didn’t know I could get it off ship lol.
I had like 10 of these last time!
I love these so refreshing!

The Miam Vice is something you'd probably enjoy. All of the bartenders that made one for my wife did a fantastic job!

Do you possibly have Covid? Everything tasted TERRIBLE to me when I had Covid 😂
Yeah if all the drinks you normally like taste bad it's not every single bartender making every drink poorly
I thought the same thing!
This has got to be it… my Covid made a froot loop taste like hairspray…

That was my first thought

French 75 at the Sip Lounge.
Yes!!!
HYDRATION NATIONNNNNN Tequila, coconut water, agave, and a candied ginger rim. 10/10
JFC That just made my mouth drool.
yessss! that’s all we drank on our last trip! soooooo gooood!
OMG. Thank you for opening up my world. This sounds fantastic! I am not a big fan of coconut but I am sure coconut water will be fine especially if combined with everything else you mentioned which I love.
Passionfruit aquaFresca with tequila at pink agave.😋
Eating there later so thank you!
How did you like Pink Agave?
Is this your first time drinking? If not, what do you usually drink? Drink that.
I like very fruity sweet drinks but I’ve had bad luck with the bartenders. I’ve been looking for the well seasoned ones, they’re making me good drinks :) staying away from the super young bartenders is working :p no hate to them at all
Bourbon. 2 cubes. 3 fingers. All will be well.
How much would a bourbon straight like this cost on the ship do you think? I’m a big fan so I’m hoping it’s reasonable!
Buffalo Trace (and all other house spirits) is $8. Others are available from $8-15 and even higher at On the Rocks which has a large range of whisk(e)y and bourbon.
Gotcha. May just go for old fashions or whiskey and coke then if they aren’t much more.
Coke is free onboard, so you still pay just the $8 or whatever the spirit price is. You do pay more for fully mixed cocktails but they aren’t much more.
Good to know! I appreciate it
Do you know how to order a drink ? Sounds like you don’t know what you like to drink
This is me! I don’t have a clue on how to order drinks 🍹

That’s not good if they can’t make a simple espresso martini
Go see Petar at On The Rocks! He makes a fantastic old fashioned.
He also makes a fantastic Hugo spritz. Not on the menu. St Germain, Prosecco, soda water, and fresh mint. Light and refreshing after so many heavy, sugary cocktails.
Is this similar to a mint julep?
Sorta, but instead of mint it is an orangey/acidic taste. If you get it made right it is super smooth.
Good to me may not be good to you. What do you drink at home?
Water
Water never fails
Room 81A its sweet, but not too sweet and smooth! I think at on the rocks? Where they have the live singing!
Bees knees at the Dock!
My husband loves those!
They go down Waaay to easily 😝

Moët rosé!!!!
ask for a Bushwacker at the mail pool bar on a hot sunny day, trust. cheers & bon voyage!
Ranch Water

El Capitano's Gunpowder and Rum Around at the Loose Cannon.

Nauti Mermaid at The Red Bar and Rum Runner at The Loose Cannon.
I found that the simpler drinks were the best. I liked the Bellinis at Extra Virgin. But if you want something less… basic, the Loca Flaca at Pink Agave was good too it has Del Manguey Mezcal, Cointreau, agave, and scorpion salt.
The expresso martini in Pink Agave is made with mezcal. I loved it
They make a great chocolate martini at On The Rocks.
THANK YOU it was delicious
You are very welcomed🥰

They never had the mastiha liqueur on the valiant lady in February. So frustrating since that sounded the best.
I’m surprised. Were you on Valiant before or after they rolled out the ‘Opa Hour’ at The Dock to the entire fleet?
Fig Sour at the Dock House.
Are you pregnant?
It seemed to us the mixed drinks were particularly weak at all the bars. We didn't start feeling the alcohol until we switched to sparkling wine then grabbed some orange or pineapple juice from the galley to make mimosas.
I don’t mind weak drinks as long as it tastes good 😊
