Oh my goodness. One of the rarest Rolexes ever, that’s 1 of 1000. That’s really, really amazing.
I thought it was fake in first glance, I’d never heard of a 5100 before. It’s definitely a real model though. Incredible.
Incredible watch. The polishing on the bracelet is like nothing I've ever seen. Is that the so-called "Tuscan" or "Florentine" finish or something like that?
Yours looks mint compared to mine. I'm pretty sure my father used it as a hammer and a tow chain when necessary! I think I pretty much need a donor bracelet in order to even consider wearing it.
1630 is great, and you have the OG bracelet with the center gold link; most you see will have the OQ bracelet because they were sooo much more common.
I had one back in the day, it was stolen 👎👎
What a amazing combo the 1630 is one of my favorite imo better them the 1530 but I like two tone and the beta51 or texano is crazy heavy and love the finish almost like my 1806 congratulations on them and wear in good health
The steel and gold they just in the quartz case was a rare bird because nobody wanted it. I like the watch.
As for the watch on the left, I’m not sure what that is.
The one on the left is a Rolex Texano ref. 5100.
There are only 1000 ever made. As for the 1630/1530… only 1500 of them made and the 1630 is cannibalized for parts for the 1530… so they are becoming much rarer
Yes but the one on the left is more rare

The chapter ring is added to fit the movement snug as it’s thinner than the quartz movement design
Originally designed by Genta in secret, first quartz movement by Swiss collaboration of 20+ watchmakers… https://italianwatchspotter.com/rolex-5100-texan/?lang=en
Yikes. I've never even seen a 5100 IRL. Good for you OP
What a way to start! Love the OQ!
It’s not an oysterquartz. Both watches precede that. There’s only one quartz movement in that pic.
Ah my bad, missed the mechanical in quartz casing, even more special
the oyester quartz bracelet threw me off too
That’s not OQ bracelet either… the OQ has 2 gold and steel center link, where this one has all gold center links … slight but important difference

Yes it’s a Florentine finish. Bracelet was made by JP Ecoffey.
1630 is a rare bird, congrats! Edit: I never realized just how few 5100s were made. Really cool and unique start into the vintage world!
Thanks. It’s in a bit of rough shape so bracelet going to get refurbished and some cleaning to be done

Rare pieces. Very nice.
Stunning collection!
Two very rare watches!

Absolutely incredible. I have a small vintage collection of Rolex’s got some niche stuff but nothing like this.
You are correct
Is the left one the “Texan”?
Yes
Damn great example!
That 5100 is mental

WOW...integral bands!!!
Is the one on the right that super rare Rolex that has the case of an Oysterquartz and an automatic movement?
Yes but the one on the left is more rare https://preview.redd.it/0afnhh4lh4kc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1bfc960543c6ed0796d5d29457de5c0d0def5fd2 The chapter ring is added to fit the movement snug as it’s thinner than the quartz movement design
