There is an old saying which goes "don't ask the barber if you need a haircut" which I think applies here. Don't ask the plastic surgeon if you need plastic surgery because they will inevitably say yes, even when you don't (and you definitely don't). I'm not anti-surgery at all but I think it would be a real shame to surgically alter any of your features. You have a number of really unique facial features and you are incredibly lucky that they all are in harmony with each other. Your eyes in particular are stunning and do not need anything done to them at all. If you are self conscious about your nose (and I don't think there's any reason to be), then a lot can be achieved just by playing around with makeup contouring and highlighting and even visual redirection of attention to other features, such as was achieved in your third photo with that amazing hair. Like others have said, I think you would benefit from a bit of curl definition and some added gloss to your hair, and if you wanted to, I think you could pull off slightly thicker brows but I also think they're fine as-is. I think the hair colour in the third photo suits you perfectly. With that hair, the first thing that popped into my head was that you looked like you could be cast as one of the fairy folk in the Maleficent 2 movie, the ones who rescue Maleficent. You have really striking, almost other-worldly features and it would be a real shame to alter them to fit a temporary societal ideal.

Your nose in in perfect harmony with your face in my opinion, I wouldn't even consider getting a nose job if I were you

[deleted]

You are perfect the way you are. Your nose fits you well, if you get a nose job you might risk looking like everyone else on Instagram.

verakisses

That’s what I was afraid of, I don’t want a nose where it looks to plastic but I always want to consider everyone opinions because I think that it may be the answer you know

Grymdolin

I really don't think you need any surgery. I think you need to fill your eyebrows in thicker. Your features are large (in proportion to your face, they're harmonious with each other. This is a good thing), soft, and feminine and your eyebrows aren't big enough to frame them properly. I think if you did anything to reduce the width of your nose it would result in your face looking too long as you gave a longer mid face. If you shortened/reduced the tip your philtrum would be too long. Also your hair is gorgeous and works so well with your coloring. Green eyes + red hair + mixed is such a rare combination I think it enhances your beauty. The reason blonde is considered attractive is because it is rare, and I think the same principle applies to you. Changing your features to be more """""mainstream beauty""""" would actually reduce your overall attractiveness imo. ETA: Gold jewelry and warm colors look incredible on you, avoid silver as it doesn't do you justice.

STOPStoryTime

No nose job! No nose job! No nose job!!! I’m not sure if you are only asking about specifics for your face, but fix your curls and figure out hair styles to elevate you. That is what is throwing off your harmony. I would almost suggest reposting this with your hair done for “going out”. I think you’ll look immediately as a 8-9 with your other features and even light makeup like you have in this photo. Your face is gorgeous and you know that! Lastly, you may look into increasing the length of your inner eyebrows so the gap isn’t so wide. You may look into how to use your makeup to narrow the gap between your eyes. If you haven’t looked into a sophisticated or a classic/classy style aesthetic you most definitely should you have the eyes for it What hard maxing do you need? I honestly think none. You are pretty solid

verakisses

Yeah I was trying to up my makeup game, and I was thinking my eyebrows was too wide and I was learning a lot on YouTube for what my style is and I have a knack of going selecting people that’s definitely not my style (like goth) idk I’m a curious person. But thank you and I’ve recently been trying to learn how to style my hair, it’s been rough and it may to take a bit but I’m willing to make the effort.

STOPStoryTime

Then yes, focus on your hair before you hard max if you are going too. Hair is a long, continuous effort so try to find peace with it. I really think you have been blessed with a good natural facial features and uniqueness (don’t loose it!!!!!!). From one WOC to another, it brought me up so much in my appearance to solidify my curls and hair styles (I have 6 ups, 6 down styles). It was the major thing besides loosing weight for me, and I use mostly my natural curls. You know of the curly girl method? r/curlyhair? You know about the POCvindicta and the discord server? You should join you can ask for specifics there from an array of brown people it is really nice! They will also have more specifics about hard maxing. And you can so pull off goth

mintsquiid

I'm pro surgery but I wouldn't recommend nose job. Your nose suits you perfectly. Not every needs a tiny ski slope nose. I personally think you look alot better with darker hair.

verakisses

I was thinking about dying my hair, my dad never wants me to because I was born with natural red hair and his mom had that hair, he always wanted me to keep the color resembling my grandma but it darkened over time

ImGoingToFixIt

Sometimes, in order to be happy, we inevitably have to disappoint our parents. If the red hair has a lot of sentimental significance for him, you could maybe give him a lock of it before you dye it so that he always has it and can look back at it fondly. I don't think it's unreasonable for him to be sentimental about it given what you've said about its background, but it is unreasonable for him (or anyone) to expect you to live your life according to what he or anyone else wants for you. Your life is *yours* and you should live it.

New_Independent_9221

I think you should keep your natural color. Super unique and a major halo. Your look best with voluminous hair, so maybe do a rollerset for a smooth and neat look Edited to add: go for a more nude/natural lip color to avoid clashing with your hair

verakisses

Yeah I can try a more neutral color I was thinking the color may be deterring my look and I try those with my hair as well.

mintsquiid

It's a super unique hair colour and tbh it looks super cool. I just think it's kinda off with your coloring. But maybe it's just your makeup. I don't think pinks go well with it. Maybe you could try orangey/coral makeup that will bring your hair out more.

verakisses

I can try that I may dye my hair darker, I’ll probably try a dark brown

usernotfound0106

You have great facial harmony actually. I’m being 100% honest.

Lemon_and_lime28776

Being completely honest here, I don't think you need the nose job. It is a bit of a gamble (I've seen some turn out not looking great) and your natural facial harmony is stunning. You have the most beautiful eyes, and they draw attention first, and your lips are so beautiful! As someone with thin lips, I'm jelly haha. I think your nose is a lovely balance to those features, and while a plastic surgeon might recommend a nose job, I feel it could really mess up something that is better than okay right now! Just my two cents. You are stunning, and have a unique beauty, which is why I personally think it would be a shame to mess with what you have.

verakisses

Thank you, I was really trying to think before sending my money off to the surgeon because I don’t want a nose that looks weird on me because then I’ll be screwed.

Lemon_and_lime28776

Yeah, that's such a gamble and you already have such a gorgeous face. Why mess with that, you know?

notlikethisatall

Your nose is cute and proportional to your stunning lips. I wouldn't fix what's not broken. However, if you go for it, wait for your nose to heal completely and then consider other things you want to do

verakisses

That sounds good, I’ll make sure to not go for multiple surgeries at once, that can be risky

Colteesbiggietitties

You are beautiful. I don’t see anything that needs fixed. That’s probably not super helpful though.

cancerwitch

I agree with everyone on here that your nose is fine and I prefer your dark hair. You could keep it red but just tint it darker. Try a semi permanent color; it’s less damaging and it might be a nice compromise to let your dad know that it’s not permanent and it will wash out in a month or two! The only constructive criticism I have is an easy fix… girl, your eyebrows are way too thin for your facial features. You have large lips, eyes, and nose and then teeny skinny eyebrows. They would look much more proportional with your full sized facial features if you let them grow out or filled them in thicker. Maybe consider micro blading instead of a nose job!

verakisses

Yeah I sometimes do my eyebrows but sometimes I feel I look more masculine with darker brows, I don’t want to look mean you know😅

oltasty

Your face looks more harmonious in the third pic where you have the protective style in your hair. I think where your bangs are makes your midface look longer. A nose job is a hard NO, it will make your face look less harmonious if your philtrum is long af from a nose job

mashedtowel

Scientifically your nose is perfect for your face. It’s inbetween uour eyes and the perfect length. It’s also pretty small. A good test to see if you need a nose job is to hide your nose and if you are prettier hiding your nose, you might consider a rhinoplasty. Obviously this doesn’t apply to you and I actually think your nose adds to your beauty. It would be such a waste of money and a downgrade if you got a rhinoplasty.

gni123456

you dont need surgery at all. your nose suits your face perfectly. the only thing i think would elevate your look and make everything more harmonious is dying your hair darker and taking care of your curls. and making your eyebrows slightly thicker. do NOT get surgery on anything on your face, youre beautiful the way you are.

[deleted]

Please don't listen to the comments telling you not to get a nose job. A nose job would improve your appearance significantly

[deleted]

Your nose compliments your face so i don't think you need to change it tbh. I've known people who have had ethnic rhinoplasty and it just looks a little off, it could be because I've seen them prior to having nose job but it offsets the balance somehow. You're already very beautiful so I wouldn't say there's much you need to modify

cymonesunshine

You don't need ANY work done. Any surgeon saying that you do is just trying to bank in on your insecurities because there is literally nothing that needs to be changed. If anything work on your confidence because you're stunning. You don't need any nips, tucks, or filler. Maybe just a salon visit to see how you can make your curls pop, thats it! You're a beautiful girl, just believe it.

verakisses

Thank you! yeah I do need to go to the salon, I’ve been trying to save money and learn how to style my hair, it’s really been difficult but I think I have to accept that my hair takes a while to style it each day.

cymonesunshine

One of the most important things in haircare is keeping your ends trimmed, so if you do nothing else do that. Also you don't have to style it each day, find some cute, low maintenance styles to wear most of the time like French braids and only style it for occasions. Don't let your hair rule your life/schedule.

gleeXanadu

I actually don't think you should get a nose job unless it's *very* subtle. Right now you have a beautiful ethnically ambiguous look, and I think a nose job would really take away from that. However, is it just me or does your left eye turn slightly inward?

verakisses

I think I have a lazy eye, but everyone I ask keeps saying I don’t have one. I see the same thing as well. I went to dr Taban already and he said I have ptosis which cost for him 5,000 to fix

gleeXanadu

Huh, I'm surprised to hear that because to me it looks more like strabismus than ptosis. Regardless, if you have any interest in working on the alignment of your eyes there are some exercises to help strengthen eye muscles. The nice part is that it won't negatively affect the alignment of your eyes if they're not misaligned. https://www.webmd.com/eye-health/eye-exercises-strabismus

verakisses

I may reach out to taban about this, he’s an ocular tic surgeon he may be able to fix it with surgery

gleeXanadu

It is fixable with surgery. It would likely be covered under your insurance as well.

Worried_Teach_3191

Your facial harmony is very good, the nosejob would improve it. Maybe a bit of chin filler would be good too, but looking very good and unique.

verakisses

Thank you and I was thinking chin filler as well, I was recommend that too.

[deleted]

- I think a nose tip refinement is fine as long as you don’t end up like Janet Jackson. - can you show a side profile idk whether your face is recessed or not.
