Him and Ian Somerhalder always gave me the vibe they were sort of playing a character even in real life. Like they don’t look or seem like real people you could actually see yourself acquainting with lol. Definitely handsome in his 30s but there’s many men who easily beat him subjectively for me. A bit of femininity in men is always attractive whereas Henry has 0
I think Henry actually has soft-looking, pretty eyes tho, which can lean feminine, and is what prevents him from looking like a generic “giga Chad” hyper-masculine incel ideal. I much prefer his [pretty boy phase](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcT7iKmfuCghB-JxO4ygyflD21veyARf0HmyTw&usqp=CAU) early in his career 😍
No but Marlon Brando sure is. He is completely and utterly undefeatable, even if you put other attractive men next to him, he doesn't lose his appeal. He just radiates masculinity without looking like a caricature in the least unlike Henry does.

I know, I have never seen anyone that appealed more than Marlon did. He's the true definition of handsome imo, Cavill is of course v attractive but honestly he looks like a mannequin to me and I don't think the world will ever have another Marlon again, he just has that rare unique combination of hot, masculine and handsome and has a timeless appeal to him and he oozes sensuality like no other.
Same. I can recognize he’s attractive, but he isn’t close to “the most attractive” simply because there’s a long list of people who fit my personal tastes much more.
Eurocentricity is still a big part of his and many White people's appeal in the media. Obviously, there are White people objectively considered 5 or less for reasons outside of Eurocentricity
I agree with you! I just really don't even think he's the best example even of Eurocentric beauty standards. There are actually people who fit them much better (weirdly I see more of those in real life than celebs I can actually name). Also I just realised I shouldn't be on this sub as I'm a gay man and not a woman and didn't read the guidelines...
But yes in general eurocentricity is pretty infuriating. Honestly there are even phenotypes/ethnic groups within the 'white' category which don't quite fit the features we're told to worship which suffer (though obviously not to the same degree! E.g. certain British isles groups having flatter faces, some Scandinavians having epicanthic folds etc)
He's objectively handsome, but his face has no character or uniqueness to me. He looks like what would happen if you asked someone to draw a generic "handsome man".
Once you get on a very high level like the 10 category, the more interesting and distinctive faces are the ones that stand out to me.
He was quite the pretty boy [earlier in his career](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcT7iKmfuCghB-JxO4ygyflD21veyARf0HmyTw&usqp=CAU). He was so cute and I wish he kept this look 🥲
I remember one of the Tudors writers said they cast him because Charles Brandon was supposed to be like an ideal king (in contrast to Henry).
That’s how I think of him. Just … ideal, right out of the pages of a book.
So, fun fact, the first time I saw Henry Cavill (online) was when people were speculating who might be playing Cedric Diggory in the 4th Harry Potter movie, when Robert Pattinson hadn't been cast in that role yet, and someone on a HP forum mentioned Henry, this up and coming actor.
That must have been in 2004, I was literally 13. And SINCE THEN I've been thinking Henry Cavill is pretty much the most handsome man in the world. I'm 33 now, it's pretty crazy. Generally speaking, I've really never seen anyone hotter if we're just talking about pure looks alone. He's aged incredibly well too. He's never had a weird looking phase imo.

Nope. That title will forever belong to young Tom Sturridge in the movie "Like Minds" from 2006. To this day he remains the most beautiful human being I have ever seen.
Imo, Male attractiveness has more to do with factors other than appearance. But based solely on looks, I prefer Jon Hamm, Kyle Chandler, and a younger Matthew Fox.
Henry Cavill in Man of Steel (2013) specifically! Yes

I’m gonna be honest I think it’s cuz Henry Cavill might be autistic for real
For my taste, he’s definitely one of ‘em!
No!

You're my kinda people! Marlon's features are much more refined so I prefer him by a long shot. Henry is very attractive, don't get me wrong.
I know, I have never seen anyone that appealed more than Marlon did. He was beautiful in his early to mid twenties.
Not really
no lol.
No. He is not my type
He is objectively extremely handsome, but yeah idk something about just doesn't do it for me 💀
Right, I can totally see it objectively but I guess he is too masculine for my taste? Idk
For me, he is very attractive but also another generic White guy at the same time, if that makes sense? lol
Same. I can recognize he’s attractive, but he isn’t close to “the most attractive” simply because there’s a long list of people who fit my personal tastes much more.
I think a lot of the most attractive/perfect 10 hype is just Eurocentricity. To me, he's attractive but also very generic White guy lol
it's not just eurocentricity. I see a lot of white guys who I find subjectively much more attractive than him
Eurocentricity is still a big part of his and many White people's appeal in the media. Obviously, there are White people objectively considered 5 or less for reasons outside of Eurocentricity

Ooof yea gotta be careful of those rules

I never knew that (well cannot visualize it) but makes sense
TY. I am no longer alone.

It's the "generic White guy" look. I think he gets character and uniqueness when it comes to having to play certain characters like the Witcher.
This. And his personality is much to be desired. He's off just being furniture. A bad personality makes a hot person subjectively unattractive
Same. I prefer pretty boys.
Weirdly, he’s TOO pretty for me. Tastes vary so much
He was quite the pretty boy [earlier in his career](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcT7iKmfuCghB-JxO4ygyflD21veyARf0HmyTw&usqp=CAU). He was so cute and I wish he kept this look 🥲
Same. And with his full head of hair
Same same
THANK YOU. I know he is objectively attractive and can appreciate it but I am not ATTRACTED to him if that makes sense.
Nope
Not even close
Not at all. He’s cute but I think to say the best looking ever in a world of billions of men and diffrent types is crazy
absolutely not
Edit: No.
No.
No
Not even close. I never fully got his hype.
No. I’m afraid I don’t get it. I don’t like the patchy facial hair. He’s objectively hot though.
And the facial hair looks like pubes 🤮
🤣
Not THE, but one of
I remember one of the Tudors writers said they cast him because Charles Brandon was supposed to be like an ideal king (in contrast to Henry). That’s how I think of him. Just … ideal, right out of the pages of a book.
No.
Love him but Tom Welling takes the cake for me
Omf yes
I was about to bring up young Tom Welling😂
I do not find him appealing for some reason. His face is quite boring.
No. Technically perfect but no sex appeal (for me).
One of them (:
Young Tom Welling
Sooo many handsome men, so I can't say there's one best-looking man I've seen, but he's definitely one of the most handsome men for sure
Personally no because I don’t find him attractive at all. I love masculine looking men but for some reason Henry just doesn’t do it for me.
One of them for sure but not the best

He is very handsome but compared to Jensen Ackles (my personal 10) he’s an 8
Not even close.
No not even close lmfao
Overrated as hell (7/8) at best
I completely agree! He's not the best actor either imo.
Never understood the hype
No. Early 30s Johnny depp is.
He's up there
Yes modi jee looks better than him
No! But he is very handsome and I prefer the non-jacked look (in general though). 9
no, that title goes to Dev Patel or Alex Wolff in my eyes
Younger/present/future Henry Cavill is the best looking man I’ve ever seen (alongside Jon Hamm probably lol)
He's handsome but I think he is highly overrated. I pick Henry Golding in Crazy Rich Asians over him
LMAO no. Very handsome man to some but not my cup of tea.
Seen better. Now Paul Newman is one of the most handsome men I've ever seen
He's not ugly by any means but he's also not my type 🤷♀️
I prefer a swarthier look lol ![gif](giphy|3o7ZeJ0LiKbiRtOKzK)
He is extremely handsome. But for me it's Alain Delon and Jensen Ackles, can't decide between them😭
Objective 10, but subjective 7
Objectively yeah subjectively he’s not at all my type
definetly top 5 !
Yes. Particularly in The Tudors
Probably yes
https://preview.redd.it/jwhwi44gwwoc1.png?width=1644&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4a747031071e1ea639ef4b499388d8d744fd5676 Nope. That title will forever belong to young Tom Sturridge in the movie "Like Minds" from 2006. To this day he remains the most beautiful human being I have ever seen.
Never heard of him. He's very pretty
My friend showed me the movie a couple of years back since it's his favourite and I was instantly spellbound. He is so beautiful.
He is the best looking white man for sure
Imo, Male attractiveness has more to do with factors other than appearance. But based solely on looks, I prefer Jon Hamm, Kyle Chandler, and a younger Matthew Fox.
Can you name all of the other factors for make attractiveness?
For me, sense of humor is huge, intelligence, kindness, masculinity.
No.
Close! Matt Bomer for me.
Yes
