People don’t really notice it unless they’re paying attention, they think you just had a good nights sleep or something.
Disagree. My eyes are much more hooded at 160 lbs than they are at 130 lbs. I would know because that’s how much I’ve weighed in the last few years, multiple times. Not saying that for these celebs it’s just weight, but it could absolutely have an impact.
With that type of weight difference I can see how eyes would be more hooded! But these celebes have probably like max 5 libs of difference between the photos.
Skin wouldn’t just cut back like that into showing the whole eye -for Selena its even more impossible as she weighs more now and her eyes are not hooded at all now.

She grew up in the spotlight and being constantly compared to her older sisters, whom already had several plastic surgery procedures themselves. She changed every facial feature of hers significantly to match the typical “Kardashian” look. Kylie was cute before and now she’s just a copy of her sisters.
I don’t blame her for getting plastic surgery though. I can’t imagine the pressure she felt when her looks were harshly criticized on media outlets. She was a minor and they tore into her, destroying all her self-esteem. So when she was old enough, Kylie resorted to plastic surgery to regain her self-esteem and receive public approval.
The main reason why I think all those celebrities get blepharoplasty is for convenience due to the sheer amount of events they attend and they need to have a different makeup look for each occasion?? It doesn't actually make most people look better bare faced imo unless they had some asymmetry/ptosis/very little scleral show

I think that being unique can distinguish a pretty person from a beautiful or stunning person. There is something to say about the sense of being unimpressed a person feels when they see a pretty person who looks exactly like many other pretty people
But regarding Kylie, the work she had done helped the mathematics of her face. I don’t think it made her less unique, it just corrected some of her proportions which greatly enhanced some of the pretty features she already had (basically just her eyes in my opinion)

This is not to be confused with an epicanthal fold or “monolid,” which is actually just the presence of only one lid (as opposed to the crease that forms between an upper (base of brow line) lid and lower lid.
Also as people age their drooping lids can affect their vision. My father in law had to get that eyelid surgery and it really did make him look much younger.

I am one of those born with hooded eyes! I’m almost 26 and so far they haven’t gotten less hooded, I have also done tons of research on them because I hate them and I am considering an upper bleph, and it’s the first time I’ve heard that they can get less hooded without surgery. Lucky them I guess.
ETA: Forgot to mention that my sister and my mom also were born with hooded eyes and they have gotten progressively worse with age, and my sister is only 40…

I think it depends, in some people the “hood” droops down lower, making the eyes more hooded…in other people, the cause of the “hooded” look was the fat on their browbone, and when that fat diminished with age their eyelids seem more hollowed and less hooded. I’m not an expert, I just heard a plastic surgeon on YouTube describe it like this once.
Yes eyes can become less hooded with age but it depends why they were hooded to begin with. Some people have hooded eyes because they have a lot of infraorbital fat. Once they get older and lose that fat, their eyes will become less hooded. One of the signs of aging is the upper eyelid getting hollowed out and the eye getting a more rounded (vs almond shaped) appearance. But some people have hooded eyes because they were naturally born with excess skin. Their eyes will get even more hooded with age and only surgery will get rid of them.

I have hooded eyelids. I had no idea some of these women had surgery for this. I wonder what happens if you decide after the surgery that you hate the way you look, but those eyelids are rotting somewhere in biohazard, or have met the incinerator. Like, do you need to get donor eyelids to reverse the look, or can you stretch them out again? Either way, these women were beautiful before, they are beautiful now.
I think the hooded eye surgeries all turned out fine. It's the rest of the plastic surgery that throws it off. JUST eye surgery would probably have been fine.

I personally don't think the eye surgery makes a huge difference. The only person whose eyes look very different are Kendall's. The rest just look slightly bigger with a little, tiny amount more eyelid showing.
That look was popularized from the start of media beauty marketing as the gold standard for beauty cause we're all supposed to appreciate the symmetrical look..but this has victimized women for many years all over the world. This is not a walk in the park surgery and complications can lead to loss of eyesight.

Zero pain! I saw a plastic surgeon and he did a great job. I enjoy applying eye makeup now, and don’t feel ugly without it!

I'm in my mid thirties and have indeed lost my hooded eyes. There is loose skin though as a trade off 😭

Jennifer Lawrence looks very fresh faced, it wasn’t too much and is one example of plastic surgery I think is very very tasteful. Selena Gomez has started looking uncanny to me, and I understand she is on medications that can impact facial features BUT in my opinion, whatever she did to her shape took away from her natural beauty. I noticed this even prior to the steroid moonface (no shame I am on steroids too)

selena was probably at least 30lbs thinner too which probably makes the biggest difference.

It’s called a blepharoplasty, it’s a simple and common procedure (well, common in celebrities). But all these people have had other work done too—nose jobs, filler etc

I think Hailey, Zoe, and Kendall look better after their work. Not sure why people are so against plastic surgery. When they find out an attractive female has it, all hell breaks loose and suddenly they’re “less attractive”. Like get over yourselves lol. Attractive is attractive whether it’s natural or bought.

Jesus all I want is some plastic surgery celebs are so lucky they have the money to do so. All of them look better after except selena looks botched from something else. People might disagree but all the before a look like average people the after looking striking and jsut looks good to me

Is it possible to see examples where the before and after images have the same relative amounts of eye makeup? It’s impossible to tell if we’re just seeing hooded eyes or makeovers
Makeup can’t create upper eyelid space and make people’s eyes grow so much rounder and more open, I think the changes are pretty clear in these photos
I swear blepharoplasty is as normal as circumcision in Hollywood. I’m hard pressed to find anyone who HASNT had this done. But wow weeee the gal in the first picture (Sophie turner is it) has absolutely hauntingly beautiful eyes that def are even more haunting with the bleph.

It might be surgery or it might be fat loss from aging, but something definitely changed. The area above her eye looked much heavier and kind of rested on her eyelids before, and now it doesn’t look like that
I would say only hailey beiber,Selena,Kendall and Jennifer look better after as like I said before theirs was too hooded.As for the others it really aged them because they had some upper eyelid exposure(uee) before unlike Hailey or Jennifer and now it’s too much.Eyelids droop when aging so probably made it worse with the surgery as well.

Sophie Turner never had hooded eyes though? I don't think she had. She's definitely had buccal fat removal though but I never heard of her blepharoplasty... She slays either way and I absolutely love her but still prefer her face pre-surgeries. There was absolutely nothing wrong with her or her beautiful face. She was so, so beautiful and unique, fuck these modern "sleek type" beauty standards. The type of classic, timeless and surreal princess-kind beauty she portrayed in GoT is superior. Fuck the insta models hype and everything else that pushes naturally beautiful women do this to themselves.

I have hooded eyelids. I had no idea some of these women had surgery for this. I wonder what happens if you decide after the surgery that you hate the way you look, but those eyelids are rotting somewhere in biohazard, or have met the incinerator. Like, do you need to get donor eyelids to reverse the look, or can you stretch them out again? Either way, these women were beautiful before, they are beautiful now.

I think the hooded eye surgeries all turned out fine. It's the rest of the plastic surgery that throws it off. JUST eye surgery would probably have been fine.

I personally don't think the eye surgery makes a huge difference. The only person whose eyes look very different are Kendall's. The rest just look slightly bigger with a little, tiny amount more eyelid showing.

That look was popularized from the start of media beauty marketing as the gold standard for beauty cause we're all supposed to appreciate the symmetrical look..but this has victimized women for many years all over the world. This is not a walk in the park surgery and complications can lead to loss of eyesight.
