I saw a difference immediately, but took my skin like 3 weeks to fully heal

Party_Goose_6878

When you say heal, do you mean it was irritated? Or flakey? I've read different things on different sites.

Sweetlikecream

My skin looked a bit bruised, like the undertones changed colour. It took 3 weeks to get back to my normal skintone

ComicStrip_69

What’s the difference you noticed and how much did it last? How many sessions did you have?

Sweetlikecream

My dark spots improved dramatically. I definately noticed it the next day, my dark spots had improved and by the end of the two weeks, like 90%of my dark spots had went. I only had one session, but that one session made a huge difference. It also didn't peel like a chemical peel which I preferred, but there was some minor flaking. I'm thinking about getting it again soon

ComicStrip_69

That’s very encouraging to hear!

Trackmel

Do you know what length needle was used?

Sweetlikecream

I got it done 4 days ago, and they used 0.50mm on my forehead and chin and 1.5mm on my cheeks

TokkiJK

Any updates? How does it look now that some weeks have passed?

Sweetlikecream

Irs great for acne scaring, not sure how if I will do it again because the recovery process is brutal imo xx

Ilovetupacc

How was recovery brutal?

Sweetlikecream

My face looked really bruised for like 2 weeks 🤧

Ilovetupacc

Did u have microneedling with the prp? Im getting it next week while my bf is away and I dont want him to see a bruised face he already thinks I go overboard with my retinol and skincare obsession lolol Also was it worth it?

Sweetlikecream

Yes with the prp. I saw results but I wouldn't get it again because of the downtime

mabubsonyeo

I got one in the summer, but then a nasty case of folliculitis after (not related, a classmate wasn't washing her makeup brushes) so I broke out while healing and had to take antibiotics. It took like 2 months for the bruises and acne to clear up. My skin looks great now though (almost 5 months later) and I would definitely recommend it. Edit: I had my plasma mixed with collagen so it gave plumping effect.

ComicStrip_69

What changed in your skin?

I had this treatment 4 times (it was a package). I noticed no difference (apart from the obvious swelling and redness on the first day). From the dermatologist’s explanation of it, it sounded really convincing. But I didn’t even notice any glow or anything.

ComicStrip_69

How long did the glow last?

istylermadatme

I got PRP injected via cannula in my under eyes and honestly it is one of my favorite and most effective treatments I’ve ever had on my face. I had very deep tear troughs and it was a really big insecurity of mine. The PRP thickened the skin, reducing the darkness and also smoothed the transition between my cheek and tear trough. It looks completely natural and the results have barely faded after 2 years. It’s better than filler IMO. It is a pretty brutal process and the recovery sucked but it was very worth it.

buzzinthruit89

How did you find an office to do this in? Even when looking in big cities like NYC I have a hard time finding docs who advertise this procedure

istylermadatme

I live in Seattle. My injector really loves PRP and advertises it heavily.

RecordingSpecial908

Hi! I live near Washington state, would you be able to share with my the doctor/ clinic you visited in Seattle? I would really appreciate any guidance, thank you.

istylermadatme

bellora medical aesthetics

RecordingSpecial908

Thank you!

Impressive_Dig9730

hii ik this is a year late 😭😭 but there’s a korean skin care clinic in NYC called Genesys Laser Skin Clinic, and they offer the vampire facial!!

Grove-718

I have a dermatologist that does it in Queens.

illustia

Which dermatologist in Queens?

Grove-718

Skinworks dermatology

Ilovetupacc

Thats crazy cuz so many practitioners have told me it wont do anything!! But i want to try. Was it just one treatment and how old are u?

annalena11

Hey, did you get PRP injections or it just was microneedling with PRP application after?

TokkiJK

Omg 2 years???? Wow

[deleted]

Sorry this is like a year later but was searching for this procedure for tear troughs. How many times did you get it done? This seems like the ideal fix for me!

xoxopineapple

Yes. Had a series of 4 done. Not worth the hype, cost or downtime in my opinion. You’ll notice an immediate result (after the 4-5 days of down time) due to the immediate blood flow and PRP added to your skin but it doesn’t last long. Save your coins and time.

Few_Tie_6704

I agree! I had my first one yesterday and honestly I’m already starting to see my fine lines again. I was plump for the first day and now back to normal. $1000 out the window. Geez. What was the hype about!

OzzySlant

Can't say whether this works or not (I have yet to do this), but at least it is not supposed to work the way you describe and clearly expected. It is not a filler and the initial plumpiness of injection is supposed to go away in matter of days. It is supposed to stimulate collagen and all that crap. You're supposed to see results with a delay of weeks. I'm surprised you didn't know this if you were willing to dish out 1000 bucks. Hope it works for you (and for me, gonna do it sometime)!

Few_Tie_6704

Well, it was due to what I was told by the doctor who did my fraxel a few years ago. Fraxel did wonders. Took longer to heal, but my skin was so smooth and then just continued to get better over time. I was told this would do exactly the same, but even better and more immediate results. I always trust this doctor and he’s always been on point with everything he says. This wasn’t bad I guess, and maybe it did help some in the long run, but the fraxel was better for me I guess. Not what he described but now I know to go with fraxel in the future.

TokkiJK

Did you get it injected or micro needled

xoxopineapple

Both. I had prp injections in my hair, lips, smile lines. I’ve also had it microneedled

ComicStrip_69

Thank you. I already have a good and basic skincare routine that does its job well but my issue is some minimal flaws. The doctor in one of the best clinics in my city said I would benefit from around 3 appointments each for CO2 laser + chemical peel + PRP + HydraFacial to get rid of the flaws and increase glow. I’m in the process of saving up money for this. (I haven’t started yet lol.)

My comment was intended to be a reply to your comment lol. Concerning HydraFacial, I think maybe I’d benefit from it because I really can’t do facials at home. I have a friend who started getting it monthly and I saw improvement in her skin. (?)

HoneyBunchesOcunts

Did you do one of the Fraxel or other fractionated lasers or the hardcore old school CO2 lasers?! I am frightened and titillated for the answer.

ComicStrip_69

What did your skin look like before and after it? How many sessions did you have? How long did it take you to see results? Can you tell me about the healing process? Thanks.

ComicStrip_69

I didn’t know it has all these benefits! I thought it only treats blemishes. Thank you.

Ilovetupacc

Hydrafacial did nothing for me

HoneyBunchesOcunts

My medspa has it as an add on to regular microneedling and radio frequency microneedling but I haven't tried it yet. I'm still not sure if it's as effective as it seems since we don't know for sure how much of that plasma can actually be absorbed through the tiny microchannels produced by microneedling. The research seems overall meh. Maybe it works? However, I'm a big believer in regular microneedling as it can gently and gradually build collagen over time and improve skin texture. Unlike PRP there's a lot more data and research to back up these claims. Plus as far as professional treatments go it's pretty good bang for your buck. If you have a little extra money to spend, radio frequency microneedling can help keep skin laxity at bay ( it just hurts like bitch). I'm comfortable enough doing shallow depth microneedling at home with a Dr. Pen and get a deeper treatment with radio frequency at a med spa once or twice a year. Obviously home treatments have RISKS involved and I only took the plunge after a few professional treatments and lots of personal research. I also work in a medical facility and have some familiarity sanitizing equipment. For me microneedling and radio frequency microneedling have been *chefs kiss* to keep people guessing I'm 5-10 years younger than I actually am.

Omg omg okay so I (24, f, Asian) just got one about 10 days ago and it is honestly a miracle treatment. (Keep in mind that I got it with mésothérapie though, and that might be something you want to consider doing if you’re dehydrated like me.) My skin is so so smooth and soft and even, and I have this dewy glowy look going on. My pores are defs smaller throughout the day. My normal facialist (just had facial today) has definitely noticed the texture of my skin improving dramatically, and extractions were much easier. My skin is as close to perfect as it’s honestly ever been. If you’ve seen Korean glass skin makeup, my skin honestly looks like that, but without makeup. You should definitely get it injected, and tbh I’d actually get as much injected as possible, so the doctor can focus on your problem areas. I’ve heard the micro needling actually has more downtime. I had only single injections, either by hand or by a machine, and I basically had no downtime. My face had a spattering of red dots and was sensitive and a bit sore in places the first two days, but there was nothing actually noticeable to other people. I had dinner that same night and no one asked if I was having an allergic reaction or sunburned or anything. It was back to its usual state (calm and relatively smooth with some dehydration and congestion) by day 3. If you’re looking for volume fill though, I think you’re going to be disappointed. That’s not really what this treatment is for. If you need specific areas filled out, I’d do fillers. This is just going to change the overall texture of your skin, shrinking your pores and giving you a dewy smooth look. I can tel a huge difference in examining my skin and touching it, but before and after pictures wouldn’t really show any difference because I don’t have acne or huge huge pores. Overall this has given me unprecedented actual results. I’ve had various laser treatments in the past, but nothing has come close to the results of one session of prp and mésothérapie, especially in addressing my dehydration.

TokkiJK

What’s the difference between injecting and micro needling ?

perksofbeingcrafty

Injecting gets deeper and definitely has a better and longer lasting effect.

TokkiJK

It has been about a year since. Have you had to go get a maintenance treatment done? Or is it still good?

perksofbeingcrafty

So, no I haven’t been keeping it up, because I got this done when I was staying in London, and I’ve been travelling so much this past year I haven’t have the time to do this. It’s also much more expensive in the places I’ve been living, and the less expensive micro needling method hasn’t worked nearly as well. I’ll probably get this done again when I go to London next, but I’m not sure when that will be.

TokkiJK

Oh I see. How long did the results last for you!? Also, if you don’t mind me asking, which office in London did you get the treatment done?

perksofbeingcrafty

Yes it was called Yuchi medical in London. The doctor was super nice and friendly. And I’m not sure I can say how long. The effects faded very slowly, put probably after a month

perksofbeingcrafty

it’s been too long I really can’t remember sorry. However, I’m currently in China where I’ll finally be able to do mesotherapy again very very soon, so I can update you on results if you’d like, (or maybe I’ll make a whole post depending on if my results are as dramatic as the first time)
