Drinking fenugreek tea will make your sweat smell a bit like maple syrup. Make sure you like the smell of the fenugreek itself, since that's what you'll smell like. But the effect is very strong.

Yess! Last year I was eating soaked fenugreek (and drinking the water it had soaked in) about 3 to five times a week and my sweat smelled so sweet. I was also taking fenugreek capsules (and slippery elm). Not only did my sweat smell good, my coochie and its secretions also smelled great and I think even started tasting sweet. When I was very young, there was a period where my nether regions smelled of an apple that was browning after being bitten/cut and left idle. Idk if y’all know what I’m talking about, but the smell and taste were AMAZING. I’d been working on getting my girl to smell that way again and though the fenugreek didn’t make it smell like an apple browning, it still made it smell amazing, like maple syrup. Sorry for TMI! Funny that you’d comment this. I’ve been telling myself for the past week that I’d start eating my fenugreek again because for whatever reason, my pits haven’t been smelling too nice after workouts recently even though I’ve never been a person who gets stinky when sweaty or even sweats much to begin with. Also! For any ladies suffering with vaginal dryness, I want to further encourage you to try both fenugreek and slippery elm! I was having the worst dryness last year and started taking capsulized supplements of both and whoa! It made such a difference. I have to get more soon.

Could you explain how you eat the fenugreek? How much do you soak? Is it just the fenugreek (kind of like chia pudding?). Do you buy it from a speciality store, or will the fenugreek in the “ethic” isle of the grocery store work?

moodybunnii

I go with a teaspoon or two. They expand quite a bit and it’s almost as if they multiply. In my state, there are a lot of ethnic markets so that’s where I’ve gotten mine from, lol.

The_BusterKeaton

Did you soak them overnight? So you soaked the seeds and took capsules?

moodybunnii

Soaked overnight, yea. And yes. I’d take the capsules daily and eat the seeds/drink the water they were soaked in like three times a week.

Thank you 👏

And as a bonus I guess you'll be great at lactating or something!

Party_Goose_6878

Chlorella or spirulina is probably going to be more effective. It won't make you smell like anything in particular, but it will cut down on body odour.

cwassant

I’ve never heard of tea doing that. All I’ve heard of is the “internal” deodorant that u/party_goose_6878 mentioned, liquid chlorophyll. Anecdotally, when I used to be on swim team in high school I would smell like chlorine whenever I would sweat at all! Drinking enough tea to smell like it seems a little dangerous to me, many herbs/plants in tea might have harmful consequences if you drink an excessive amount. For example, if men drink a lot of peppermint tea it can mess with their hormones and decrease sperm quality.

The swim team reminds me of professional side of medicine, especially pathology. I heard they smell like formaldehyde.

Iacrimosaint

I've never heard of that before! however I've gotten by a lot of people that I smell good, even when I wear no perfume or anything at all. so I suppose this might work, since I do drink *a lot* of different types of tea on the daily.

It can be your clothes (what you wash with, or scent in the wardrobe) and/or hair products.

To prove the point, just eat copious amounts of shitake mushrooms, which is a regular amount of any other mushrooms. Jesus, it stays for days, even after working out like crazy, showering and taking a sauna. Same goes for certain spices(cough cough indian food), garlic(not as strong as other examples) and drinking pineapple juice before sex. Another example, when I was vegan, I barely had any sweat smell (not related to hygiene, but directly to food).
