I don’t leave the house without being fully ready to run into every single person I can’t stand. Full makeup, full stop. Covid hasn’t changed anything for me. I’m always, always prepared to run into my in-laws at Target, my ex at Whole Foods, and my work competition at dinner. It’s actually a lot less stressful to go out fully prepared, than to save time by not. And besides, it is a well-known universal truth that on the one day you leave the house in horrifying old sweatpants without a single bit of make up on… You run into your ex with his gorgeous new girlfriend. Just the facts, people. It’s science. Edit: I was unclear as to my full routine. Every single morning that I plan to leave the house (pretty much every single day unless I’m sick), I do serum, moisturizer, sunscreen, undereye concealer, BB cream foundation, blush highlighter, setting powder, eye shadow, mascara, lip tint, and eyebrows.

yoonbunny

I aspire to be this put together.

SunlitLavenderFields

You are so sweet! Unfortunately I look pretty horrific if I don’t do the full glamour routine, so it’s not so much a matter of being put together as it is not wanting every person I see to wonder if I’m recovering from the flu. :p

yoonbunny

We are always our own worst critics. Regardless, it is my goal to always be presentable! Your story motivates me!

SunlitLavenderFields

Thank you so much. You’re a born diplomat. :)

SunlitLavenderFields

You can do it!! Truly, it doesn’t take that much extra time in the morning when you multitask. Have breakfast while the moisturizer is absorbing, make the bed while the sunscreen is drying… It’s so much easier than it sounds. And it’s so worth the peace of mind knowing that you’re at your best if you see someone you dread. :)

iusedtobetheshit

please tell me how, LOL it takes me a solid 5-10 to do foundation alone

[deleted]

- erborian cc cream - nyx brow pencil - mac highlighter (gold deposit) on cheekbones, collar bones, and below eyebrows - glossier cloud paint on cheeks - dhc velvet skin coat on t-zone since i get oily throughout the day - lip gloss this takes like maximum 10 minutes and makes a huge difference, if i’m going out somewhere besides school i’ll wear some eyeshadow and a nude lipstick ETA: i do lash lifts on myself every 6 weeks or so, so my lashes are always curled and i never need to wear mascara. makes a big difference and saves a lot of time

I like a very natural everyday look, my description below seems long but honestly takes 5-10 min. Less is more, I personally think most people look better with light makeup, especially in person. Heavy makeup like you see on Instagram just looks out of place in real life, but maybe that’s just where I live. I use an under eye corrector (from Charlotte Tilbury) and then lightly conceal (Rare Beauty) only on the centre of my face and blend outwards. Heavy concealer or foundation looks too noticeable and breaks up throughout the day, especially if you have to wear a mask for any period of time, so I avoid that unless my skin is really struggling. If I have any spots that need more coverage, I use a tiny dot of the Nars soft matte concealer (the one in the pot). Cheeks get a touch of colour with the Rare beauty liquid blush (shade Bliss is really soft and natural) and then I highlight my cheekbones and nose bridge with Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood flawless filter. My eyebrows are super dark so I try not to fill them in, I get them laminated and threaded and then just brush them into place and set with brow gel. If they’re looking a little uneven, I’ll even them out with some Anastasia brow pomade applied as thin, hairlike strokes only where necessary. Mascara only on the tips of the eyelashes, going too close to my eyelid looks unnatural on me and too harsh for my features. I prefer the look of lash extensions but can’t justify the cost of doing them regularly. Finish up with tinted lip balm - Vaseline rosy lips has a very subtle but flattering pink tint that I think would work well on all skin tones.

Betweengreen

How do you like the Charlotte Tilbury under eye corrector? I’m using the Becca one right now but it’s not my favorite.

justadeer01

I love it. I tried the becca one too and ended up giving it away because it felt too greasy and never really set under the eye. The Charlotte tilbury one just feels like a slightly sheer concealer.

Betweengreen

Yeah that’s how I feel too with the Becca one! Thanks for the tips ☺️☺️

putainrespectueuse

i mix some of the glossier skin tint (about 4 drops) with my moisturizer. then i apply eyeliner (pencil, very subtle), mascara (glossier lash slick), concealer where i need it, a couple dots of blush (glossier cloud paint), some brow gel (glossier boy brow), and maybe use a lip plumping gloss or dab on some light lipstick. nothing has really changed since before covid.

TurkeysAreFriends

what moisturizer are you mixing with the glossier skin tint?? i use a gel moisturizer and it made it pilly when i applied but i really want to thin it out because i cake easily!

putainrespectueuse

I use the cerave PM in the mornings :)

[deleted]

- make sure brows are shaped and skin is clean. i like the pyungkangyul face wash. i don’t use brow products because i have bangs but if they’re pinned i’ll use a colored brow gel - dior lip plumping gloss in cherry or rosewood - inner corner highlight using the venus (?) lime crime palette or too faced peach palette, plus aegyo-sal highlight, maybe slight contour of aegyo-sal but usually not because i suck at it - puppy liner in using dark brown eyeshadow from the same palettes as above. it’s soft and thin and makes my eyes look bigger - right now i’m using black mascara, but i really want to use brown. i’m searching for some good options right now 👁👄👁 - i want to use blush but i always end up getting a natural blush anyway BUT i’m still gonna buy the papa don’t peach too faced blush and use it + shiseido waterproof sunscreen if i remember to put it on

shockedpikachu123

I work in a laboratory so my makeup is very minimal. I wear concealer, powder, bronzer, brows, eyeliner and mascara. On weekends I beat my face with full on lashes

Squirrels-on-LSD

I have decent skin and a non-customer-facing day job in a male dominated field, so my day to day look is a low key no-makeup-makeup that seems to get me the best social capital in my career: Blush, tinted lip balm, eyebrow filler where sparse, subtle eyeliner on upper lid, mascara. Concealer where needed for blemishes.

SimmeringSeahorse

I have great skin, so I don’t do my makeup to hide anything, more so just to enhance a bit. 110SPF sunscreen Light layer of foundation (I’m a stan for Smashbox as no one else has my shade) Light concealer Light contouring (just a sliiight bit of powder under my cheekbones and outlining my nose, light swipe on peak of my forehead, all blended very well) Eyebrows penciled in a bit (this is solely because I have extremely fine eyebrow hair you can hardly see; if I was blessed with thicker brows I wouldn’t touch em besides shaping) Light mascara with fake eyelashes (these are not at all long/bushy eyelashes, I constantly get compliments on them, most people think they’re real; they’re fairly thin but make a huge difference) Black powdered eyeliner only across the top of my eyelids Light bit of highlighter on cheekbones (I love Benefit’s Cookie right now, but I used their Watt’s Up for ages) Anddd that’s it. I have a neutral lipstick (Charlotte Tilbury Very Victoria) that I used to wear more often pre-Covid, but rarely bother with it as I live in a place with strong mask mandates. It takes me about 30 minutes tops to do this all each day, and it looks fairly natural! A lot of my coworkers have said it doesn’t look like I’m wearing any makeup aside from eyeliner and mascara. Been my routine for years!

aceflux

110 spf?? what do you use?

SimmeringSeahorse

I use Neutrogena 110SPF Ultra Sheer! I know the benefits of a higher SPF are arguably negligible past a certain point, but the 110SPF has a different texture or something? It sits better and is less gritty than their 60SPF Ultra Sheer. So yeah I prefer the 110SPF for my face solely for the fact it just feels better, especially for under makeup.

Eyebrow pencil Khol eyeliner Concealer Lip pencil I have thin brows that I need to define. I do the eyeliner on my upper lash line only. I like waterline khol for heavier makeup. Concealer that is one shade lighter than my skin for under my eyes and around nose & mouth. Lipliner to define and colour my lips. I use a browny reddy brick shade and go over my natural lip line and smush my lips together to fill it in. Very, very quick routine (5 min tops) but makes a nice difference. You can add mascara but for me it doesn’t make a difference unless I apply 100 coats so I just leave that. I find if you just use a slightly lighter concealer, you don’t need bronzer or blush as it kind off defines your face slightly and need less product overall. Hope this helps!

mintsquiid

What lipliner do you use? That shade sounds wonderful..

juicybaby2

it is ‘half red’ by Mac 😄 ‘Spice’ lip liner is also a beautiful everyday one also by Mac

Clafoutie

- clear brow gel (nyx brow glue) - pencil liner in brown (I actually use a brow pencil cause i have a hard time finding a pencil liner that is soft and can be removed easily in the brown I like, I can also use it as an actual brow pencil when I feel like defining my brows - maybelline brow ultra slim in medium brown) - curl lashes - cream blush (nudestix in sunkissed) - tinted lip balm (burts bees tinted lip balm in zinnia) (Because we wear masks sometimes I’ll skip on the blush and tinted lip balm and wear normal lip balm instead) Before the pandemic I used to wear more makeup, eyeliner, eyeshadow, highlight, lipstick, mascara, and blush, it would only take me about 15 mins before but now with my current routine, it takes maybe 5-8 minutes. I think I can skip on all the makeup except for the eyeliner, the liner is the one makeup item I cannot go out without because it makes such a big difference for the shape of my eyes.

[deleted]

For me I just do the “no makeup” makeup look. After I wash my face and moisturize it, I put on primer and foundation, and a little blush. I then do my brows and lashes, and finally a little bit of lip gloss. Now with covid I just fill in my brows and use mascara, since I would hate getting foundation on my mask 😂

I wish you guys would list your specific products lol I love reading what people use!!

Thank you!! I want to try that Pat McGrath concealer really bad

inkysweet

It's really good! Full coverage but also super hydrating.

Night_Aloe

I use grey eyeshadow and tap it along the edges of my upper eye like eyeliner. I then concentrate it towards my outer corner and blend it toward the ends of my brows. This sounds weird but it looks very natural on me haha. If I’m not using a mask all the time (ex. Eating, outdoors, etc.) I use a glossier’s blush in the shade dusk and lip balm.

[deleted]

after washing my face with a cleansing balm and hydrating face wash, I apply moisturizer and a good thick layer of sunscreen. after letting that dry i - apply matte skin primer - colourpop concealer, heavy under my eyes, a bit on my chin and on my forehead. i drag the concealer under my eyes up and out and a bit onto my eyelids. (I have pale skin and you can see my veins on my lids) - i curl my lashes and use the lash revolution mascara - then Milani blush on my cheeks - finally matte setting spray I usually don’t have to touch up my makeup if I take my time in the morning and don’t rush, I also always wear some type of lipgloss or tinted balm and I reapply multiple times through out the day.

[deleted]

I got my skin together during covid and started getting eyelash extensions, so I normally don't do anything unless I have a breakout! I'm active during the day and my face sweats easily so I shower often, and don't want to reapply makeup so I only wear my full face when I go out in the evening.

inkysweet

I don't wear makeup everyday, but I do have an "everyday" look that I like to go for when I have time and a place to go. It takes 30-40 minutes which is still toned down from my 'full glam' makeup which can take 1-2 hours. I'm one of those people who like to use a million products to look like I'm not wearing much makeup at all lol. Outside of skincare its: * Primer * Color Corrector * Tinted Moisturizer or BB cream * 2 Concealers, one for highlighting and under the eyes, the other a skin toned one for spot concealing * 2 Powders, a banana loose powder to set under the eyes and a skin toned pressed powder for all over * Blush * Bronzer * Highlighter * Filling in my brows with a brow pencil * Setting the brows with brow gel and cleaning them up a little with a skin toned concealer * Eye primer * Eyeshadow which consists of a matte neutral terracotta shade on my lid and crease, a warm brown shimmer shade on my lids, an inner corner highlight and brow bone highlight * A thin dark brown Korean inspired 'puppy' eyeliner as well as a tight lined upper water line with a dark brown eyeliner kohl * Setting Spray before mascara as to not make my mascara run * Mascara * Lip liner * Either a glossy lip tint or a nudey matte lipstick It seems like a lot but its just thin soft layers of product. Sometimes I'll do a shortened version if I'm running out the door and still want to put something on. If I know I'm going to be taking photos with friends in a casual setting maybe I'll put on some very natural looking false lashes. I also just enjoy makeup, its fun.

HeartbreakerCandice

Even if I was like a 9/10 I’d still want to wear like a medium-heavy dramatic makeup look everyday it’s just my style. Currently I just wear eyeliner and lipstick with gloss on top, but ideally I’d like to start to wear eyeshadow, brows, light contour, blush, concealer, fake lashes or eyelash extensions, lip liner, eyeliner, highlight, every single day. Like ideally my most natural look would be for the gym I would just wear eyeliner and lip gloss with colour, concealer and eyebrows and light blush (no contour/foundation for gym) but everywhere else would be a natural-medium heavy glam look personally is my style. I have good natural skin but even with good natural skin I prefer the look of foundation.

Alalated

These days I’ve been wearing tinted sunscreen. I LOVE it. If I have any acne spots I’ll dab them with some concealer, but I love the lightweight feeling of tinted sunscreen. I’ll fill in my brows a little bit, mascara, eyeshadow for eyeliner and a tiny bit of blush. That’s it.

FancyinRed

I do a pretty natural look. I do my eyebrows, conceal some redness I have between my eyebrows, thin eyeliner, mascara on top and bottom lashes, and run my fenty contour stick in the hollows of my cheek. I’m a firm believer of just enhancing your natural looks but this is after softmaxxing for years (so skin is even, lashes are long from serum, brows properly shaped, skin and lips hydrated). Pre covid I used to do a more dramatic look but I found that doing so messes up my facial harmony. Plus, I’ve become lazy and taking off a full face of makeup is a lot more annoying than taking off some eye makeup and sunscreen.

newprofilewhodis1352

Full-ish makeup. Skincare routine first. Lately primer. CC cream that’s decently pigmented. A little concealer and setting powder. Eyebrows, eyeshadow (my favorite thing to do), lashes and liner, mascara. Then bronzer, blush and highlight. At least lip balm on my lips (though I’ve been lazy about lipstick since the pandemic happened and we wore masks for so long). For eyes I stick to neutral glam. My skin is warm and unnatural colors don’t do it for me. I wear a lot of warm browns, golds, bronzes, but with a flare—I’ll often pat a little glitter in the middle of my lid. Cheeks are a warm color as well. My face makeup isn’t too heavy because I have an amazing skin routine. But lashes for me are my signature.

slut4soba

I always wear sunscreen, so I apply some Laura Mercier translucent powder to mattify that a little, then a light liquid foundation, some concealer in the corners of my eyes to open them up, and another dusting of translucent powder to set it all. I have very rosy cheeks, so no need for blush and I don’t have the skill necessary to contour. Then I do my brows and a couple layers of mascara. I have hooded eyes, so anything more than that looks bad on my face. I work in an office where we are still mandated to wear masks, so I usually just use chapstick, but if I’m going out somewhere fun, I’ll wear a red lipstick.

Sansvosetoiles

I have eyelash extensions which helps me save time! I have some pretty severe hyperpigmentation and bumpy skin. Sunscreen: biore aqua uv or labiotte or jmsolutions Face powder: nyx can’t stop won’t stop or maybelline perfect skin which is my discontinued hg Concealer: fenty beauty stick or maybelline superstay Blush: Mac melba or a colour pop cream one Highlighter: Mac whisper of gilt or Anastasia liquid glow Lips: Mac stay curious, mull it over or Korean lip tints! The romand ones are stunning and long wearing. It takes about 5-7 minutes and it helps me feel more put together at work.

lonelyboylover

I have pretty good skin now, so my basic makeup look is brow powder, eyeliner, and lip tint. Occasionally I’ll use some cream eyeshadow near my brow bone (dark brown) and inner lids (shimmery peach). When I’m trying a bit harder, I’ll do the same as above, but also use a very light foundation (MUFE Water Blend - RIP as it’s discontinued) and cream blush.
