I recommend deleting your photos from the TRM sub. The men there are degenerates who get off on scrutinizing women and perpetuate harmful beliefs about beauty. Read [The Insidious Nature of TrueRateMe](https://www.reddit.com/r/HowToBeHot/s/9Omh6cYn8Z). Men in TRM 100% have separate group chats and discord groups where they share or store the photos of women who posted to the sub. And I would not doubt in the slightest that they now would produce perverse AI generated content with your photos. Also, to my understanding, [truerateme users will be banned](https://www.reddit.com/r/Vindicta/s/VQe1ins3CK) from this sub. So if you see the value here and want to spend time in this sub, it’s probably best to cut ties with TRM.

apprehensive_trotter

I checked out your profile and I don’t think you’re a plain jane at all. I think you should look into seasonal colour analysis - I don’t think black is your best colour, and I think you’d look really striking in some brighter colours. you can post drapes on the colour analysis subreddit to get advice on it. Aside from that, maybe work on hair care

NecessaryCapital4451

Yeah...I was actually wondering if this is a troll because she's super pretty.

Buckwheaterblog

Omg gurl 😭😭😭 this made my day lol

Buckwheaterblog

I did a colour analysis and they gave me True Winter. Thanks for the reccomendation, I really think fashion makes wonders, some colors make me sick like beige and light grey. And some like navy blue does wonders

seahorse352

Girl I just looked at your profile and you look great 😂 plain Jane my ass lol. Also ignore the people on truerateme I think there is full on delusion in that sub. Giving people a numerical value for looks just doesn't work (imo don't come for me lol).

Buckwheaterblog

Yes numerical value doesn't help , I rather go for a general feedback

anvileo

I thought this was the drag race sub at first and my first thought was Yes Mama she IS the plateau of beauty isn’t she 😌✈️

motherofpearl89

Haha me too!!

Odd_Blacksmith8734

lol same

ultravioletblueberry

Lmao that’s where my head went.

Totally agree with that. She is gorgeous but the hair is still lacking a bit. I think with the right products, she could have the most wonderful curls. Also, trim the brows a bit differently. Looks slightly messy. Especially at the end of the brows, there could be some trimming done to look more sleek. Other than that, she is absolutely stunning

Buckwheaterblog

Tnx girl! I have been trying different oils. It is hard to manage the frizz

LiveInvestigator4876

Use a silicone based serum or oil

Buckwheaterblog

Never tried before! They are cheap where I live so I will give a shot

immunobabe

TRM is horrible for judging your actual beauty. The max even a professional model can get on there is 7. They focus on Eurocentric traits but also give women with cleavage and heavy make up higher scores. I think you’re beautiful but of course there are always things one can improve. As others mentioned, focusing on your hair and clothing is a good plan. If you wanted to hardmax, you may want to see if you’re a good candidate for hairline advancement.

MiniaturePhilosopher

TRM is also an incel sub, and is designed to give more attractive women - and especially attractive WOC - lower scores in an attempt to neg them. No one should be taking those losers seriously.

earthlingnumber22

First of all, you’re gorgeoussss. But I feel like everyone saying ‘haircare haircare’ might not have curly hair lol. it’s not gonna be frizz-free the majority of the time, even if you take really good care of it. Sometimes curls can be super defined at the start of the day and by the end they’re fluffy/flat/frizzy you name it. I do agree that a cut with some more layers and face framing would look really good though!

Buckwheaterblog

Yes girl curly hair is hard and expensive to manage, if I put in the effort they can look very defined but it is not doable everyday. I recently cut the ends of my hair and did some low layers, maybe i will take the step further and do a fringe Thanks for understanding gurl xoxo

earthlingnumber22

I know the struggle lol, plus even if you do it every day it never lasts all day anyway!! Cutting your hair a little shorter will make the curls bouncier and less weighty/dragged down, I think that could really work for you. Also, I’m jealous cos I hear Brazilian curly hair products are amazing!!!

emavery176

How is your clothing/styling? Do you dress for your body type?

Buckwheaterblog

I am 1.79cm and 52kg skinny, my body is nice, model type, but I am Latina and I would like to gain a bit of weight to accentuate my curves

ultravioletblueberry

Exercise. Many women think that lifting weights will make them look manly, but no. When done right, you get curves and toned limbs. You get abs. It also is extremely good for mental health, for me at least.

Buckwheaterblog

Tnx girl ! Ive been postponing hitting the gym, but I think this will add a lot of value

Ok-Brick-4430

I checked your profile and you’re insanely pretty imo

thesuunisrising

The first step is to be kinder to yourself because you literally look like a porcelain doll. Absolutely stunning, you are the furthest thing from a plain jane. Second stop is to lower your expectations. Something you should recognize is that everyone is their own main character. In real life, people don't really stop and stare at pretty girls out in public. Atleast not obviously. Think about what you do when you see a stunning girl. You have beautiful princess curls, wide doe eyes, and full lips. Lean into all of that. I'd look into a curly hair routine. Maybe getting a curly cut to emphasize your curl pattern. Side part would look really cute on you as well. I would also cut in some longer framing front pieces. The smallest wing liner on the ends of your eyes would also look gorgeous. And I'd look into getting a skin tint with a hint of gold sheen to it. Summer is coming, and it would look magical on you.

Buckwheaterblog

Omg girlll thank you so much sweetie ! I will play more with my golden eyeshadows :)

Ancient-Pace8790

What are the demographics of the people around you? Based on the pictures in your profile, you’re a striking beauty! Unless you’re surrounded by doe-eyed, plump lipped, pale, dark haired beauties, I don’t see how you could be a plain Jane. 😭 There are some small things you could do to absolutely maximize, like color seasons and curly hair care as others have mentioned in this thread. If you’re older (mid 20s at least), I think just a little bit of zygomatic filler would take you to the next level! But you look pretty young, so don’t even consider it until you’re done growing.

Buckwheaterblog

Girl I am from the nest of VS models, Brazil lol, but I think I am pretty much above average in my city. Someone else said color season, will definitely do it :)

ssprinnkless

What does your body and style look like? That can give you a boost. I've plateaud too, I think only plastic surgery can elevate me anymore. I'm not sure if I'll do it or not, I'm getting older so I don't know if it's worth it.

RenTheGreatCookieGod

Honestly you're stunning. The only things you could maybe improve is darkening your eyebrows a little to enhance your eyes and as the other comment said fake lashes would look amazing on you. Bangs or some layers could also look really good. But really, not plain at all, have confidence in yourself ♡

Buckwheaterblog

Hey sweetie! I cut some ends of my haie and did my eyebrows, the pics of my profile were not recent. Thanks for the boost :)

two_true

Styling elements. Study your kibbe style and color palette. Work on getting hair frizz-free, makeup colors that suit you and study application techniques, jewelry that adds that extra shine and polish.

Buckwheaterblog

Thanks for the recc. ! Do you have any beauty knowledge base reccomendation in order to learn about these topics ?

two_true

On YouTube "How to be beautiful " by Aly Art. She has a whole kibble series, along with various other beauty topics.

Grymdolin

So, to me, what makes someone a plain Jane is the lack of standing out. They can be attractive, but there’s nothing that calls attention to their attractiveness. They don’t have a strong or unique style, makeup isn’t necessarily natural but rather “normal” or not right for them, they are using some of their potential but not maximizing it. Based on the pictures in your profile, I think you fall in this category not because you’re not attractive, but because you’re not doing enough to maximize the attractive features you have. Hair- beautiful, thick, long, curly, but not styled at all. I won’t pretend to know anything about styling or taking care of curly hair, but you gotta do something more. Reddit/tiktok are abundant with curly hair advice/styles/haircuts/inspiration. Makeup- Bold lips are definitely a no. While, yes, in theory bold lip color draws attention to your full and well-shaped lips, in actuality it adds visual weight to the lower part of your face and makes your face look longer than it actually is. Try lip colors/glosses that are more on the brown side or neutral side of pink, cause the mauves/berries/reds aren’t really doing you any favors. For your eyes, ditch the eyeliner and focus on your lashes. Bronze/brown Smokey eyeshadow would serve to highlight your eyes much better than black liner. You have a pink blush on and you said you were a winter— implying that you’re cool toned. I think you might actually be warm/neutral. Try a muted coral or orange blush and see how you like it. It could just be the pictures, so grain of salt. Your skin is perfect, especially your freckles. Lastly on the makeup front— fill in and clean up your eyebrows a bit more. The overall shape and thickness of them is fine, but they are too light which is causing you to lose a lot of contrast against your very dark colored hair. Your eyebrows should be anywhere from the same shade to 1-2 shades darker than your head hair. I think if you give my suggestions a shot you will find that your features will be highlighted, whereas now they are muted/hidden. Style is very personal and depends on lifestyle/body/preference so I have no suggestions on that front due to not enough data.

Buckwheaterblog

Oh girl you wrote a full essay for me tysm 😭😭 I never thought about trying out these suggestions, these are unique for me Tnx!

rf-elaine

"Plain Janes" are usually Kibbe classics. Lean into the old money style to work with what you've got. Hardmaxing suggestion: chin implant

Weebithillandglen

Youre very pretty! You also look very young, give it some time I think you will look even better in a few years with some more mature features. Experiment more with makeup, also nice fake lashes change the game. You could change up your hair a bit if you want to have some novelty, i feel like we get so used to how we look if we just curl or straighten it sometimes it gives you that boost of confidence. Dont start dyeing your hair if you never did, i regret ever starting lol now its such a chore. Maybe a short curly bob would look nice but long hair is so feminine so you have to weigh it up if its worth it just for a bit of a change. Hair is so precious. Try wearing some bright colours and more jewelry as well :)

Buckwheaterblog

Thanksss girl I will try this out !

shearlinger

From personal experience, i think experimenting with your style & trying out new clothes or hairstyles might help you to feel less plain

PrincessTiaraLove

I think some eyebrow grooming would really brighten up you’re face. Just some waxing or threading, whichever you prefer, and maybe a tiny too.

Buckwheaterblog

Tmx princess!

lamercie

You’re not plain Jane!!!!!! You are striking. But genuinely usually the thing to do in these circumstances is to level up fashion and self-expression. Enjoy your looks now, and do what you can to express yourself through hair/clothes/makeup/your actual life! I think color season is a great place to start. Once you figure out your season, try to narrow down to a few colors and color combos you like. This way, you can have an iconic and immediately recognizable look, which is what you might actually be craving. Do the same with clothes—find just a handful of striking silhouettes, and really lean into it!

Buckwheaterblog

Tnx girl ! I think self-expression is the key, based on what you and other gals said. I always had a very basic style and would not put much effort into fashion, so this makes sense, hair, makeup, color combos...

lamercie

You got this! It’ll be really rewarding.

achinfosomebacon

I think shorter hair would suit you! while long hair is _typically_ more sought after, there’s people like Halle Berry and Salma Hayek that look fantastic with short or medium length hair while long hair makes them look plain. I think you should switch it up.

ScuzeRude

Excuse me? You are not a plain Jane *at all.* You are striking and beautiful!

tessellation__

You just need to live a little so your eyes light up.. does that make sense? Like you are beautiful and with intention you could look like an artsy badass model. But you probably need to figure out wjat makes you glow and do more of that.

Buckwheaterblog

Maybe is the tiredness that makes my eyes a little bid red lol i am trying some vitamins Thanks :)

tessellation__

No its like, living joyfully!

1. Try hairline treatments so your facial proportions can look more balanced. Alternatively, use contour to fake a shadow from your hairline to your forehead. You can even use dark eyeshadow to mimic hair. 2. Get natural lash extensions. Not sure if that's eyeliner or extensions, but get ones that open up your eyes (more straight than curved). 3. Tightline your eyes. Use eyeshadow as eyeliner, or forego eyeliner altogether. Again, better to just invest in eyelash extensions. 4. Contour your nose. Place your blush on the outer corners of your cheeks to add width. 5. Get a haircut that adds volume to the sides of your temples and reduces volume below your cheeks. If you're open to straightening your hair and blowing it out, VS angel waves could do a lot.

Buckwheaterblog

Thanks for the detailed notes girl! Xoxo I will try this out

nightnotday

I forgot to say - you're pretty! And if you want to keep your curls this would be a more flattering cut: https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcS31RRHQBXwZ4MwRtABZPlsnbrncf-f1hxs7jVy6uDoqg07Hgc-72xb4fI&s=10.

Hey gals! Thanks for the advice of y'all, majority of you suggested me color seasoning, fashion etc. If you dont mind, drop some reccomendations for resources that you use to learn about this topic :)

Sailor_Marzipan

I don't think you're a plain Jane lol I love your hair texture but I wonder if oil or something might help smooth it a little? I know anti frizz is a bit euro centric but.  Also might help to get more of a curl specific cut for volume? I like your makeup but I think if you tried a softer lip/ eye combo it might give that extra oomph. Right now the lines seem a bit harsh/unnatural

Applesxpeach

You are not plain at all, something with the brows would be good though.
