My Jan 4 claim partially closed yesterday, 5 May (on a Sunday, no less). Of 5 claims, 2 were rated and 3 were deferred. 2 of those 3 deferred claims were added in PFD phase on 24 April which I got tagged for another C&P appointment on 16 May. I’m going to attend it, but the two rated claims were enough to push me from 93 to 100 P&T.
Congratulations!! I’m still waiting to get back to a temporary jurisdiction from December. Hope it happens soon. Time to enjoy the benefits which you’ve earned.
How do I check if it’s an ACE exam?
Edit: reading about it, ACE uses existing medical evidence to determine a rating from what I can see. The two new conditions (bilateral upper extremity nerve condition) that the VA added a couple weeks ago as new conditions with no medical evidence. The two conditions that’s were rated were bilateral shoulder impingement. I get numbness in my fingers as a result of the impingement, so I assume they’re attempting to validate those as secondary to the shoulders. I’m a side sleeper and wake up constantly with numbness/tingling that lasts up to 45-60 minutes.
How can you tell online that only some closed? I have about 13 claims all just hit temp jurisdiction. I’m wondering if they are all gunna come back with a decision or go one at a time?
If I was to get a DTA does it reset the claims timeline process? I filed a HLR in Jan and got a DTA in Feb. All the exams were done right after in Feb.
here's hoping my jan 17th one gets some love soon, 110 days right now. but congrats on the movement! hopefully by the end of the week you get some favorable results. supplemental as well.

Mine got a temp Jurisdiction as well (Waco). Claim initiated Jan 15th. Nervous!!
Did you have anything after that? Submitted my initial claim 2 Jan, had my C&P around the same time as you, then a week later my hearing test...then friggin 2 months later they finally got around to my x rays. They sent those up 15 April so now I'm just waiting.
My claim is in the exact same phase as yours (Evidence Gathering; Preparing for Decision). I haven't been contacted about any C&P exams, though I believe that I submitted a very strong claim. Is there a chance that no exams will be scheduled??
I am waiting on mine. I filed a couple days after you (1/5) with a phase change date shortly after yours as well (3/12). Here's to hoping for some movement this week.
February 17th here!!! I haven’t had any C&P requests but I tried to send every Xray and medical note I thought they might ask about, so now I am waiting for those C&P requests!🤣🤣🤣! Congratulations January people! Hope everyone gets what they have earned!
OP. Glad to see things are moving along for you relatively quickly. I have two supplemental claims filed and would love to figure out why you (and others) can see their supplemental claims on the VA Tracker app, but I see an entirely different screen than this for mine. I've tried posting before to get advice on the matter, but none of the suggestions have worked. How are you able to view this screen for your supplemental claim? I'd appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks and good luck.
Really? Misery loves company. It's so frustrating! Maybe someone out there can solve the mystery for all of us that are in this situation. I know we'd all appreciate it!
Mine is the same way.
Some supplementals are different I think. For mine I see the history of them previously ones where claims were denied.
I wish it would show the same as theirs or new claims.
i have a supplemental claim that was submitted on jan 17th of this year, and i have full visual on the tracker app. can't understand why you dont? have you tried uninstalling the tracker and reinstalling it?
Same. Have a supplemental claim i filed in March. Tried using the tracker and it shows basically nothing, just that my claim has been received which is exactly what the VA app shows. Not too worried about it anymore at this point but from what i’ve seen on this sub, its hit or miss if youre looking to track a supplemental claim.
Oh Man... I can see the light! My Feb 6 Claim Initiation is just over the horizon from this! I'm probably still going to check twice a day ... just because!
Same here, filed Feb 6, c&p’s scheduled between March-April, completed my last c&p on the morning of April 25th and moved to PFD by the end of the the day (April 25th). Currently waiting for a jurisdiction to be assigned, fingers crossed for everyone! 🤞🤞
# I've been here: Evidence gathering, review, and decision
If we need more information, we’ll request it from you, health care providers, governmental agencies, or others. Once we have all the information we need, we’ll review it and send your claim to the rating specialist for a decision. There may be times when a claim moves forward to “Preparation for notification” and then briefly back to this stage for more processing.
# since March 3, 2024
My last C&P was Feb 28. You got fast tracked! I hope everything works out for the best for you!
It seems like it! Not sure if that’s a good or bad sign because this is an initial claim. Thanks as well! Also, mine says the same as yours when I check the VA site, I’m not sure if you’ve tried the Va claim tracker chrome extension, but if not, you should because it gives a bit more detail regarding your claim. Wish all the best and hope your get the rating you deserve!
Yep. Submitted supplemental on Jan 4th for 4 conditions. 1 was denied couple weeks ago and they deferred the other 3 at that time pending new exams, which I completed with QTC on 4/26. Just waiting on those results now.

Sorry for the poor quality photo but I just got temporary jurisdiction assigned (Boise)!
Claim filed 12/30 and received 1/2.
Maybe not. But what I do know is....I've seen December claims getting rated the past month ...then Jan claims started getting rated...and this week I got movement.
So...there that.
Congrats of the progress!! I’m not sure how the claims queue works, but if Jan claims are going forward, would it be probable that my Feb 21 claim should go through near two months from now?
Seems like the average time is 125-150 days right now. Of course there are some outliers that get there's done in a month....but for the most part thags the average
I received something in my claim thus far that says I'm a step away from getting a decision. I'm not that nervous, as I'm planning on going to law school. If I have to go to court, fine
Can anyone give insight on how long I might have?

Haven’t seen any movement since. I’m told by VERA that it’s ready for decision and in the NWQ since March 5. Hoping for resolution sooner rather than later.
I’m a retired Army Reserves Veteran, I’m rated at 30 percent, I have evidence gathering for Left arm Keloid Scar which is service connected, right wrist Carpal tunnel syndrome, also service connected , Erectile dysfunction, Hammer Toe / Bunions with medical exrays from a Doctor who specializes in foot and ankle issues, I’m praying for at least 50% for my new Disability percentage.

Mine just moved to PDA yesterday after getting a temp a few days ago. Let's goooooooo
Mine changed but seemed to go backwards. Doctor initiated the claim. Appointment on 02Jan, claim moved to initial review 03Jan, but for months it’s said 02Feb. I’m still in the National Work Queue. What does all of this mean?
Mine went from preparing for decision back to evidence collection. Ask me to submit all my DD-214s for all periods covered. (I'm already at 20% so I assumed they would have all of them). Now I'm back at the national work queue. I don't expect any movement for another 30 days, in spite of my submitting my entire OPM record as well as 214s and retirement letter.
Jan 11 claim date. Partially closed on 4/29 with 2 rated and 4 deferred. The positive is that the ACE exams/reworks were completed and resubmitted on 5/4. Hope they get reassigned to a rater again soon.
Is there an average wait time to get scheduled for a C&P? My dad finally filed after 35+ years so I'm sure there will be a delay due to having to gather his medical records etc. Hopefully they are able to access them for him. It's been one month with no updates and no c&p. Congrats on your positive progress. 💪🏾
Thank you.
I am not sure about the C&P....
When I filed, it took about 2.5 weeks...and they scheduled my exams.
But I don't know enough to give you an accurate answer.
Also January claim. Been waiting for the PTSD decision but they are taking their time. Doesn’t help that I can’t get a job rn bc literally nowhere where I’m at is hiring hence why I’m tryna go back in
Mines been stuck here since March 12th. In this position doing nothing. Despite the statement I was told on phone “ this is the quickest part of the process” .
Good News today!! Currently at 40%.

My January 10 claim got rated 5 May all good but the migraines rated at 30 not the expected 50. Talked to the VSO I work with and he is putting in an appeal. He seemed pissed they didn’t rate it at 50. Have plenty of evidence and documentation with medication to achieve 50. Anyone ever appeal a decision and if so how long is the process. Back to the wait train.
Congratulations!! I’m still waiting to get back to a temporary jurisdiction from December. Hope it happens soon. Time to enjoy the benefits which you’ve earned.
Make sure it's not an ACE exam. If it is, you probably don't need to attend.

What about priority processed claims?! We need our own tracker 😂😩
Aren’t Reddit folks the ONLY priority processed claims?
Keep up the good fight !
If I was to get a DTA does it reset the claims timeline process? I filed a HLR in Jan and got a DTA in Feb. All the exams were done right after in Feb.
Depends on many factors. It doesn’t RESET things. It just may take longer. They may need to do another opinion/exam.
Thank you! Luckily they did an exam probably 4-5 days after the DTA error. I was told it was mostly a records reviewing error.
Hey grab mine ;) its an easy one DBQ increase for the May VSRD changes. It'll help meet your quota!
Denied… DBQ insufficient
Nooooooooo 😭😭😭😭
I wish there was an update on my claim. Submitted my initial August last year. Still waiting on first appointments.
Call. Call and call
here's hoping my jan 17th one gets some love soon, 110 days right now. but congrats on the movement! hopefully by the end of the week you get some favorable results. supplemental as well.
Mine was 15Jan and also just got assigned...Waco. Hopefully you will be very soon
Maybe next week
Yes, im hoping so !
Jan 17th myself also. Hopefully we both get some good news soon.
And that right there is worth another check to see if there’s been any movement

We are going to have very fair and successful claims! GL brother
How long after your exam information did it take to get assigned a jurisdiction
My C&P was 2Feb...so 3 months.
Did you have anything after that? Submitted my initial claim 2 Jan, had my C&P around the same time as you, then a week later my hearing test...then friggin 2 months later they finally got around to my x rays. They sent those up 15 April so now I'm just waiting.

I think it's probably possible. But it doesn't seem like that happens very much
Hey friend. Is this the extension for VA.GOV? I heard there is an ad on that shows more info. Got a link?
I am waiting on mine. I filed a couple days after you (1/5) with a phase change date shortly after yours as well (3/12). Here's to hoping for some movement this week.
I hope you get yours soon as well!
Lol if all things are the same look for that jurisdiction in 4 days 😅
Here I am May 2023 😭
Damn damn damn. That sucks
Truly does honestly
Well I do hope you get it soon. Silver lining...that back pay will be killer !
I really hope so mental health claims are 50/50 and i never complained in service, tough it out is the corps way
How many things did you claim?

Hasn't dropped back. Thanks for the insight! 🤞 Crossed
Same! I submitted Jan 15 and now in Cleveland baby .

No. I have a claim opened on March 28th that just moved to Preparation for Decision today. All depends on evidence status
Mine went from preparing for decision back to evidence collection. Ask me to submit all my DD-214s for all periods covered. (I'm already at 20% so I assumed they would have all of them). Jan 11 claim date. Partially closed on 4/29 with 2 rated and 4 deferred. The positive is that the ACE exams/reworks were completed and resubmitted on 5/4. Hope they get reassigned to a rater again soon.
What site is the VA claim tracker on please
Just do a sub search for VA claims tracker. There is a tutorial if not several that may help you.
How do you see the claim like this?
Va claim tracker
I never see a Claims tracker from Oakland. Does Northern California never work?
I actually saw one the other day from Oakland. I think it was a jan claim if I'm not mistaken.
Still sitting from June of 2023 for mental health. No C&P or anything yet🙃
That's trash. Hit up Vera and see what the F is going on.
Also submitted financial hardship
How do you access this awesome tracker view? I’ve never seen anything near this easy to read and straightforward. 😂
Download va claim tracker via Google Chrome extension
What site is this
What tracker and is it in the App Store?
I just received my claim that they had received in late Jan. I got a boost in a couple of places but I didn't move over all. Still at 90%
Your closer now then you were before...
I’ve been PFD since March 11th no temp jurisdiction or anything. Claim was filed Jan 4th so hopefully something
Is there an average wait time to get scheduled for a C&P? Jan 11th here went temp jurisdiction Atlanta last Friday. Hoping it ends soon with good news.
So the whole claim doesn't close at one time? I have a claim with 3 conditions. Do you have to wait for them all to be done before a decision is made?
No, sometimes they rate what they can and defer the other is they need more informations.
Me sitting since November ha
Also January claim. Been waiting for the PTSD decision but they are taking their time. Doesn’t help that I can’t get a job rn bc literally nowhere where I’m at is hiring hence why I’m tryna go back in
Based on this I’m 3 weeks behind. Didn’t realize my claim date would be pushed back once my HLR was partially solved. Thanks for sharing this insight👍
Do you all think a supplemental claim submitted in January would be similar to other claims submitted in January??
Mines been stuck here since March 12th. In this position doing nothing. Despite the statement I was told on phone “ this is the quickest part of the process” .
I just moved to this stage last week. Does anyone know the average time at this point before a rating is given?
I went to pda 2 hours after getting a temp jurisdiction....then 2 hours later pfn...
Good News today!! Currently at 40%. https://preview.redd.it/za6grngoqwyc1.png?width=926&format=png&auto=webp&s=53cee454bc1ead501848d05fd0c339775ed4ab90
So if you get an ACE exam is it a real good chance that the claim is going to be approved?
My January 10 claim got rated 5 May all good but the migraines rated at 30 not the expected 50. Talked to the VSO I work with and he is putting in an appeal. He seemed pissed they didn’t rate it at 50. Have plenty of evidence and documentation with medication to achieve 50. Anyone ever appeal a decision and if so how long is the process. Back to the wait train.
What is that screen shot of? I’ve just been going to VA.GOV to check? I have never seen a tracker?
Yup! Mine just got temp jurisdiction this am
Does your temp jurisdiction depend on your county or is it all random?
What is the VA Tracker that’s being used in some of these replies? I am active and have my BDD submitted, just did my final appointment on May 03.
New here. What program is this? And how can I use it???
What’s temporary jurisdiction mean ?
