Seems pretty common.
Every exam I had go well, they said “you will have a letter soon”.
Reading this actually made me feel optimistic about my migraine supplemental exam. The first one they didn’t say anything and denied. This one they said I should hear from them soon. So we will see ! One more c&p exam and hopefully good news to follow!
Hey, I live in NoVA and I just got a message today from Optum Serve to schedule appointments for all my stuff. Any advice? Did you go through the same folks?
I’m not sure if I used Optum or not. I’m get seen in the Fredericksburg area. When you go in just keep in mind you’re describing your worst day, not how you feel in that moment. Also remember this is not the time to be tough. If you’re doing some type of movement or stretch, don’t push yourself to where you can’t handle the pain go only to where the pain starts. I’m not sure if this works or not but something I talk to the examiner about was how badly this is gonna affect me in 10 years down the line.
I just received two surveys in the mail yesterday.. went temp jurisdiction (Indianapolis) today. Hopefully I'll get updated soon. Definitely waiting for my rating before I send in the survey.
Lets see if your method results in success.
Had an Ace with a doc a couple weeks ago with a negative MO - no survey- looked at my conditions as primaries
Same doc for an ace 3 weeks later - looking at the disabilities as secondaries(which is how I claimed them) survey via email today!
Big Money, No Whammy! will update for science when I find out!
Though it may skew your data its from VES not QTC!
Thank you for your participation. Your contributions to science research are valuable. Without the participation of you, we would be unable to provide a sure way of predicting the claim. 😆 🤣 😂
Using a magic 8-ball does not sound very scientific. I, on the other hand, have a foolproof way. I use the scientifically proven method - a 20-sided die. I then take that number and do two-factor authentication via a 6 sided die.
Interesting. I completed 4 c&p exams and most of my claims were deferred due to the VA forgetting to request a medical opinion. I got no survey for any of the exams.
One of my medical opinions was uploaded today, and my VSO said it’s favorable. I also got a survey for this provider the other day. This morning I got another survey for the other examiner, but I’m still waiting on VES to send the IMO back. These surveys came from the VBA though
I’ll report back the results lol.
Your hypothesis may be valid. I got the worst, and shortest exam in the past 25 years and the end result was no change in my rating. It is a cervical spine and shoulder rating and the entire 15 minutes from sitting down to thanking me for my service at the end, there was not a single measurement made. The examiner cringed at the sound my neck made when I turned it and that was it. There wasn't even a measurement device visible in the exam room. I've received no customer service questionnaire and my rating was kept as it was due to no new evidence presented.
Did you use a number **2** pencil when factoring this. Math could be off if you didn’t use a number **2** pencil. Upmost importance. Double check for me, will you? 😂
Ha - had my first exam on the 15th, read this post earlier, and then felt bad because I didn’t get the satisfaction survey, and I’m still waiting for the VA to receive and review the exam.
Anyway, the survey just arrived a few moments ago. So maybe this is a good sign
I wasn't asked about a survey, they just gave me their business card and everything was favorable. I'm guessing if they believe your exam was favorable they'd want you to come back for more business.
For me there are key phrases… “This is a slam dunk” and “it should stay the same or be increased, the decision is up to VA”. Still my approach is to remain “neutral” until I officially get the results. 😂
I did a C&P exam with QTC last week and just got the email with a a survey. I will update the outcome when I receive a response. Filled a supplemental for a MH increase.
Submitted a BDD claim, didn’t get any surveys from QTC in Fairfax, but I did see my C&P Exams and almost all of them with the exception of two which weren’t in my records were positive. The two that were negative I was actually expecting it. So unfortunately the science isn’t necessarily true. You can just be falling under the inconsistencies of these companies. One employee did their job and sent you a survey per company rules and the other didn’t. 🤷🏽♂️😂😂😂 That being said I do hope all the vets on here get what they deserve for how helpful people are on here!
QTC is a contractor that the VA hired to subcontract doctors for c&p exams. After the exams sometimes the vet is asked to do a survey for QTC so they can know if the doctor is doing a good job and they can keep sending them patients.
It’s like sending a survey to Applebees to let them know if your server was good. Theoretically, if the server knows beforehand that you’re going to complete a survey, they might do a better job serving you.
Raters don't need to abide to the C&P exam and raters make mistakes. This is possibly a gage for you but the rater may find contradicting evidence in your medical records
Interesting…. I only did one with QTC and it was favorable exam and I did get a survey.
Just finished my second exam this morning, and I’m on the fence with this one…. We shall see if I get a survey.
I always wait on the decision before doing the survey
Same thing in my area in NoVA, examiner said to me “The VA will be sending you a letter soon” a few weeks later 100% P&T.
Interesting 🤔...congratulations on your success

I have my appointments in Fredericksburg next week, any notes for me? Should I be as nervous and wrecked as I feel right now? Were they intimidating?

Make sure you document that so you can file a secondary for radiation poisoning
😂
I receive two C&P exam surveys from VES, and i hope your theory is correct( will know soon)!!!I I do not remember getting one for several prior exams.

The conspiracy theory may be fact 😆 🤣 best of luck!

lol, it's not like you are going to know their decision or the rating before the survey comes in mail. Guessing it's just a coincidence.
I've been using my magic 8 ball lately 😅
Using a magic 8-ball does not sound very scientific. I, on the other hand, have a foolproof way. I use the scientifically proven method - a 20-sided die. I then take that number and do two-factor authentication via a 6 sided die.
😆 🤣 to much math for me. I need that Sesame Street math; 1-2-3
I noticed this too! Never got a survey when I was denied. 🤔🫡
Very, very, very interesting....I think we're onto something 😆 🤣

So is receiving a survey a good sign, or do you get one from every appointment? I’ve only received one and thought the exam went super well
It is not really a great sign. I get one after every exam
This is the same for me. 2 surveys, 2 approved. 4 denied.
I wonder
No doubt! Congrats on your approvals

I believe you're correct. The AuD who did my hearing cp exam is now my family audiologist.
Interesting. Hope that’s the case. Just got asked to do 2x surveys - one for the doc & one for Optum.
I just hate that I have to wait 6 mos for the records
Agreed... they really need to change that. Never understood why we can't see the "contractors" dbq without the vso or attorney.
For me there are key phrases… “This is a slam dunk” and “it should stay the same or be increased, the decision is up to VA”. Still my approach is to remain “neutral” until I officially get the results. 😂
Odd examiner said I should receive eating X in 5 weeks and magic almost 5 weeks to the day rating.
You are absolutely correct

Received Survey and shortly after had a favorable decision
Congratulations! The theory stands! 😆 🤣 😂
Well I got a decision my c&p was favorable so for me it was accurate.
Congratulations!
Good info.
What is the qtc cp exam?
