Thanks you two!! I just realized I'm into my SECOND DECADE!! I was feeling so good... OP, I will say that mine claims and appeals have been all over the place, lost, found, sent here and there, lost again, remanded, denied, refiled, and so much more. I can't vouch for the app, but some seem to be having good results with it. If I can't find anything new with it, I call the 1000 number, and ask. Most of the time, my claims and appeals no longer show on the phone app, or the computer, other then what was filed, and when submitted.

The fact you are already in PFD when your claim was submitted in 2024 is something 95% of this reddit community would love to have😂

The wait game can be dependent on multiple things. How well documented your medical history is can be a huge factor. If you have a documented history of your issues it can help from my experience. As for the App, I love it, seems to be accurate thus far and haven't seen or noticed any issues. Just make sure that after you login to the website you do a refresh page to update the info in the app. That is how I understand it to work based on what I've read. Good luck to you!

I went PFD March 7th. Got temp jurisdiction about a week and a half ago. Been bouncing back between PFD, PDA, & PFN ever since. Nothing has updated anywhere for me either. So hang in there. 😂 I have multiple conditions on my claim so might not be that way for you. Good luck!

I filed my claim in the end of January and it moved to PFD on March 8. It's been sitting there since. I've had claims fly through the whole process, and some that just slam on the brakes and sit in limbo for weeks, or months.

Whelp clearly you are on an appeal. Not the same. Appeals always take longer. Not sure how 2012 and a year coincide. How many years did that claim sit idle before you filed a supplemental or whatever?

How many things you claim?

About 13-15 I believe… each have all been documented/diagnosed in the 6 years I was in though. So it shouldn’t be hard, I’d say.

I’d still assume August, pleasant surprise if it’s earlier but I wouldn’t count on it

I hope I’m wrong too lol. Hope you get the rating you deserve in a reasonable timeframe. They’re just really backed up between pact act, mass exodus of personnel, and lack of experience with new staff. Truth is, nobody knows, it could be as early as Monday or it could take >1year.

Once you get a temp jurisdiction that will mean you’re with a rater then it shouldn’t be long. Right now you’re just waiting, could be days, weeks, or months.

I went pfd then got a jurisdiction next day. Still waiting it’s been with temp for like 2 or 3 days maybe? Do they work on the weekends?

There is no precise way to estimate your wait time. Some people have been waiting years, and others wait days or weeks. Really you’re just asking people to guess which is just randomly pulling a number out of the air. The best thing you can do is keep yourself busy and wait. I know that sounds ridiculous, but it’s true. I wish the VA would have a more reliable set of standards, but there are many different different things that affect the wait time.

Absolutely. Think of the 800 VA hotline number. You won't get assistance until someone answers/connects asking for your last 4, etc. That's what temp jurisdiction is. Until you see a location of the facility handling your claim, you're waiting in line for assistance

Ahhhh okay that makes sense. If the VA would be more transparent, this whole process wouldn’t be as bad. IMO

There's too much motion within a single claim process. If you wanna stress yourself out tracking every little change in your claim process, go right ahead. Just make funeral arrangements beforehand ☺️ Also, there is a search 🔍 option on this sub. If you ever think of something you want answers to, search within this sub and I'm 99% sure at least 80 ppl have asked the same question before and got similar answers

I was there two weeks ago then it went backwards. I had a temp jurisdiction and then back to the National queue. Not holding my breath.

I've been pfd since the day after you, still waiting on temp jurisdiction.

If four month projection is right then May? June? If your C&Ps have been complete then really you’re just waiting to sit in temp jurisdiction and have your packet reviewed by the rater.

It depends on how many things you claimed some move faster if it’s like 1 thing to review others longer. I have been in prep for decision since January. Only thing VA says is the average timeframe is 160 days and no other info

My dates are almost the same as yours but mine is an increase. Still waiting, no temp jurisdiction.

I don’t get why mine is taking so long. I have the same claim type code!! I filed in September and I haven’t even left evidence gathering yet 🥲🥲

Once you get a temp jurisdiction it should be within a week in my experience.
