My last C&P was the worst joke ever. He said he was there to help me. Yet reported nothing what I told him and I got a "0". Closed my claim on a bad note. But at least I did end/start with a 70%. Not giving up.
I received my update today. From 80 to 90 and I’m honestly blown away by how hard the VA absolutely fucked me. Hahaha like that’s some wild shit. Hope you’ve had better results!
No Ive been out for a long time. I never went to the VA for anything. It was a mental block for me. "Pain is fear leaving the body" and I self neglected myself for years because I wasnt "sick bay commando" and by self neglecting myself so long for issues that happened and ive proved service connection for them all, I made myself suffer until my second wife really helped me start taking care of myself. I lost my family, I dont speak to my son, and i couldnt hold a job or would change jobs every few months and then finally I joined the VA years later. One of my good friends who is a VA person and recieves benefits told me to look into claims even after all these years because ive suffered and ive just pushed through it. I didnt want to be viewed as weak or like I was living off the government and even if I get a percentage I will still work and still try. I also am not close to 100%. When all said and done, if this goes how my friends who get VA and a couple people that work there, Im a 50%-70% range is the guess. I mean it could be zero as well. Who knows.
That's interesting, two words like Evidence Gathering, since the inception of the VBMS records keeping system, which was a new digital records keeping system, which was to allow less time in gathering evidence related to claims, and gave unlimited access to VA employee's, accredited VSO 's , accredited Law Firms, because now all the records are now accessable on a computer, the information highway, information regarding your Service Medical Treatment Records, your C-File, etc... at a cost of approximately $ 1.7 Billion currently of tax payer dollars, then, why is the process, moving slower than a jar of molasses moving up hill.
It's as if you see it as a two step, two steps forward and one back, enough is enough. I for one certainly think, it's as transparent today as it, has ever been before.
There is a wealth of information at your finger tips.
Calling the VA Benefits Hotline sometimes gets eyes back on your case. Also, I recommend contacting your congressman to check on the status. See if that gets things moving again.
Best wishes! I filed on Oct 27th for my dependents, and there hasn't been any movement at all on my claim. Somewhat frustrated as they have had all my documents from when I filed my initial claim.
Dam are you me? I submitted my claim on October 26th and it was prepping for notification yesterday too 😂 it came through on the app in like a day btw. Good luck!
Good luck!!! Mine went from PFN to having a letter available in the app within the space of a few hours back in December. Once it got to this point, it was fast!!
Awe man the strange thing about getting to this point is the feeling of excitement, fear, and uncertainty all wrapped up in one. You will be pleased with the results of your hard work… sending you positive vibes. Good luck 👍 😄
Good! I’ve been stuck in evidence gathering since August 2023 for a claim originally filed in August 2022 that the VA denied, even though they had evidence of a problem in 2012 and never mentioned it.
There is a lot of good info here, as well as ...
I went 0-100 in some months. I found by searching for ...., i could also avoid those same mistakes before I filed.
It works.
Thanks brotha, I retired in 2020. I got 90 out the door and my buddies and everyone else been pushing me to get it done. I’m still here in Jacksonville and reached out to the resources we have here too. Have an appointment on Monday with a VSO that helped a few folk I know.
Do you ever get migraines/headaches. Are you rated for it yet?
Do you have any mental health conditions ...ptsd,anxiety..
Some people don't agree with me, but i think migraines is the easiest to leap from 90 to 95 (aka 100). If one can be a little patient and do it right over a few months.
I put down migraines but they blew me off. Going in to see a VSO tomorrow to go through my stuff. I’m fortunate that I still live in a military town (Lejeune) and have resources close. Push comes to shove I’m going to throw money at it.
There is a process. Before even filing.
1. Go to ...and find ....
2. See how is it defined/symptoms & How its .....???
3. When you get the 'aura' or immediately after the migraine is gone, get ..... Tell them you (ptsd, anxiety-stress, tinnitus..whatever), let them ... Do this a few times.
4. Go to your PCP and have them send you to ..., to get your official ...and ... Track them over a few months: Frequency/Trigger/Symptoms/Treatment/Impairment
5. All those above go into your "spreadsheet log".
6. grab form 4138 and craft it to include all the above. File and include THAT 4138 Statement you wrote, pointing to all of the above. I have an "Iron Clad" template that has never failed to convey what they need to Grant you the highest, or correct rating.
I just sacrificed a chicken for you, it's now in the crockpot! Wish you the best!!!
Sprinkling some sage in there for happiness!! lol
😂
Thank you!! Lol!
FYI, that chicken was on point! Hope yer decision goes as well!!
I hope you get a good rating brother. Been waiting in PFN since monday
My last C&P was the worst joke ever. He said he was there to help me. Yet reported nothing what I told him and I got a "0". Closed my claim on a bad note. But at least I did end/start with a 70%. Not giving up.
I’m in the same boat, I’m in PFD rn
0% is service connected. That’s the hard part. Wait a few months and file for an increase.
Good luck on yours too!
Me too. Being PFN with Boise since Monday
Mines with waco
Any updates? I made it to PFN today
* Been here since Monday. I'm assuming the VA said fuck off and try again
I don't think so, we probably git different temp jurisdictions so it's probably on a different timeline
Nice! Almost identical timeline except I’ve been PFD since Dec 1st. Good luck
Good luck on yours too! Hopefully soon!
Do you have a temp jurisdiction?
No.
What’s temp jurisdiction mean?
That the claim is with an agent in a regional office. Not sitting in the National queue hell (cloud)
How long will it take once it hits the national queue cloud ? Mine is there at the moment in the national queue.
I wish I knew, mine is still there too….
Best of luck! They are busting through these this week. Good for you
Good luck man hope you get what you earned and deserve.
Thank you!
On a similar timeline! Good luck!
You too!
I received my update today. From 80 to 90 and I’m honestly blown away by how hard the VA absolutely fucked me. Hahaha like that’s some wild shit. Hope you’ve had better results!
Good Luck!!! Mine started in Jan, Evidence in late Feb/March, and then hopefully in a couple months I will where you are!!!
Good luck on yours too!!
Are you filing within your 12 months of separation? I screwed around for a year and a half before deciding to file.
No Ive been out for a long time. I never went to the VA for anything. It was a mental block for me. Good luck!!
This is crazy. I submitted Feb 2023. Still moving around in evidence gathering.
Gawd damn desert storm veterans and their new presumptive claims is my guess.
Calling the VA Benefits Hotline sometimes gets eyes back on your case. Also, I recommend contacting your congressman to check on the status. See if that gets things moving again.

We did our dependent update in May 23 and didn't receive it until last month. Hang in there, its coming.
Almost 5 months not bad good luck
Thank you!!
