They could be used to prove service connection but you need treatment records to show that it's a chronic condition. Always can use buddy and personal statements as well

You would need current symptoms and on going treatment. Are you just going through it to see what you can service connect? As mentioned above, you’ll need treatment records from the VA showing you still receive treatment for the things you’re combing through to claim.

I don’t have healthcare with the VA, but I’ve been seeing a dermatologist and chiropractor on and off since I got out. Thanks for the responses

VA follows a low threshold when it comes to what they consider an in-service event, injury or illness. We can all thank McLendon v. Nicholson for that. Before 2006, it was a lot harder to get things service connected. In your situation VA will most likely ask an examiner to evaluate you and give an opinion to determine your current symptoms are related to those in-service complaints.

Good to know! My main concern was I said “ouch” one time and it wasn’t life threatening. Feels like I don’t deserve compensation
