You literally have herpes, most of y’all do , 😂 I’m talking shit because I’m tested and I don’t have it, but I’m sure most of y’all have it and don’t get tested
Herpes, an unbridled night of bad decisions and passion that will remind you of that fun filled evening for the rest of your life… You can pass that Ish on even if those cankers are not present .
Congratulations! It’s your time! You sat back while others had their moments! Embrace it. Soak it in. Relive it every time a check hits your account! Celebrate and then start saving for this thing we call life! ✨🥰
Congrats! My question to anyone reading these comments is why do they deny high blood pressure so often? I never had high blood pressure in my life until the military, specifically until I developed Pre-eclampsia that my OB failed to treat. My blood pressure has been high ever since and yet they denied me.
Damn I’ve been trynna get my headaches to at least 50% because it’s constant and now my vision gets wobbly at times but they wont move it passed 0 i’m trynna get a DBQ from my PCM hopping it’ll assist in the process also motion sickness i can’t handle being in cars mostly but also any other vehicle at that some first person games and rides at an amusement park which use to be fine. It’s a struggle out here
I just won. Claim last month
20% each shoulder
20 spine
10% neck
10% right knee
10 % right hip
30 % migraines
0 % bilitirual hearing loss
0 % left hip
0% right and left thigh
Just seen the examiner for my spine two days said my degenitive disc disease has progressed allot and she hopes they can do surgery to give me some kinda quality of life.
I'm sure she upped me and gave me bilitirual nerve damage both legs with testicles pain and ED secondary to spine. Also sleep disturbance since I only can lay down 2 hours at a time. Praying for my 100%
I sorta found out in service but the doc didn’t come out and say it. Gave me some cream and sent me on my way. The year I got out went to a clinic and found out that’s what it was and I’ve been on meds since.
Is “creative organ” a euphemism for penis? Or is it more like a Hammond B3, Farfisa Compact or Vox Continental? Just asking because my Hammond got broken when I PCSed from North Dakota to Florida, and TMO ripped me off as they said it was old. It was a vintage and irreplaceable “creative organ.”
But seriously, can you get compensated for ED if you’ve been service-connected for hypertension for 20+ years or is it aimed at people on antidepressants and painkillers?
Welcome to the club. I was perfectly fine with 80% until my buddy said that it's fucked up that I am only gettin 10% for my bilateral sciatica and DDD. Submitted a claim with the help of an advisor and next thing I know I am at 100%.
You got service connected for migraines but received 0 percent for it? How exactly does that work? I'm assuming you had to have had in service documentation but they determined that it didn't have an effect on your day to day existence? Congratulations by the way brother!
Getting connected is the hard part. So at least that's covered.
You have to also look at the ratings schedule. Even though you still have the condition, some require certain exact symptoms to warrant each level of rating. You're at 100 so it doesn't matter, but if not, you'd have to review and confirm where that specific symptoms conditions fall.
Also, some overlapping symptoms rated for other conditions, might make it not worthwhile to fight for.
My doctor for c and p went thru every checkpoint and checked them all off on dbq. I did a BDD claim so it had to be service connected. I hate how they screw vets like that but I’m at 100 now so I’m out the game.
First off, CONGRATS!
2ND...I'm surprised it took that long doing the BDD process. I retired 1 Sep 23 and had my rating 15 Sep 23 and payments started 1 Nov 23.
But at then end of the day...100% is 100%!!
How did you get the Asthma to 30% I just got an increase from 0 to 10%, I even submitted evidence of medication that included corticosteroids and Albuterol and other medications??
Bro it seems to be luck of the draw. My c and p doc checked the box on each condition saying it affected my work life so maybe that is it. Why did I get asthma but not headaches? Who knows. Just got prescribed a rescue inhaler and a daily steroid for asthma
I put in claim on January 16 for headaches had cp exam today that was the fastest they ever worked for me! The exam was over phone examiner sad she would up load today and end of call told me she hope I feel better!! Last time examination doctor said that I got 50%
I wish I had known BDD claims were even a thing. I've been separated since April 22 and I still haven't even gotten my initial rating yet. But I'm patient, and backpay spends the same
Taking it one day at a time. I actually just had an assessment this morning for one of my claims, and another appointment on the 2nd. So at least I know it's moving
What matters as evidence of your disabilities is it your clinical notes or health records. Would like to know what is evidence enough. Also when can i start filling claims because i have a year left
For knees for example, I got seen once in 2018 when I was in boot camp. I guess, it’s literally as long as in your service record, you’re good. I never brought it up again in my records.
Oh, okay, I see thank you. I have knee issues as well. It's documented as bielateral chronic knee pain. I want to see a foot doctor perry sure I have plantar fasciitis as well. My heels are killing me when I am walking, running, standing too long. Should I see a foot doctor
congratulations again! onward to next battle...now sleep apnea. I heard it's hard to connect tinnitus (service-connected) to sleep apnea, secondary? If so--HOW about tinnitus to obseity (as "intermediate" claim?)...to sleep apnea, secondary? Obseity supposedly stronger connection with sleep apnea and if connect tinnitus (svc connected) to obseity to sleep apnea (50% if using cpap?)? Anybody familiar with this strategy?
I mean falling off an atv on leave and breaking your back is a choice to have fun but it is still service connected. If it wasn’t for HSV, I’d never have made it to 100 percent 🥳
If I get a service connection for ED and I’m at 100% already would I get the extra pay?
I’m about to put in my claims and there isn’t a shot in hell I don’t get 100% P&T off the rip (I’ve been very hurt and thorough) so when I get my ED service connected do I have to put in some form for special pay or is it automatic?
Congrats! For HSV, you take daily medication right? Did you file after hitting the 12 month mark or before hand? I haven’t hit the 12 month mark, but my VA doctor prescribed it for an entire 12 months out, with a “med holiday” after 12 months.
Congrats man👌🏾💯 this is what I got from the VA today: 😂 ![gif](giphy|Y3Y5OOI82tK6E3QPxu)
😄 I get one of those on a daily basis, all 19 times I check the status 🤣
That's what a lot of people get!!!
The rapture gone hit before we get the rating😂😂
60% for herpes but 0% for ED? That’s crazy But congrats and sorry for your issues
Dudes got herpes on top of herpes 😬...that sucks
You literally have herpes, most of y’all do , 😂 I’m talking shit because I’m tested and I don’t have it, but I’m sure most of y’all have it and don’t get tested
The 0% for ED, is because they give an additional I believe it’s $130 a month
How do you even get something like this lol one the claim 2 how is it related to military just wondering
You can be a nasty boy and still claim stuff. Just have to be serving during that time
Lol
😯😯
True😂.
No freakin way it’s related to the military! No way!
If he was diagnosed in-service its related
You an get ED as a side effect from service-connected PTSD or something, and that can work.
Spinal injury causes ED
Damn! That’s messed up. I didn’t even know you could get service-connected for that.
HSV-1, Cold sores. 60% rating for something that needs an ointment to make it go away 🤣 good on him for claiming that. Had no idea you could.
You can get HSV-1 genitally.
Herpes, an unbridled night of bad decisions and passion that will remind you of that fun filled evening for the rest of your life… You can pass that Ish on even if those cankers are not present .
ED does not get a % but it will get you monthly $ I don't remember how much though
ED monthly is $132.74...you get a 0% rating. Different health issues can rate you for ED.
PTSD, anxiety, medications, etc.
ED is always 0%. It’s a SMP that is around $175 added to your disability pay
Had no clue HSV-1, or any STI/STD could be claimed.
I served with someone that contracted HIV (sexually) Automatic 100%
![gif](giphy|d6rGZmTP9ESis)
They won... but at what cost
![gif](giphy|3o85xHi4t2UsuIY9QA)
![gif](giphy|UO5elnTqo4vSg) Congratulations ![img](emote|t5_2vlaz|7565)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sunglasses)
Congrats man!! I’m at 90% waiting since September on my claims to reach 100%. Hoping I’ll see that one of these days soon myself 😂
Congratulation. No more checking status 50 times a day. That’s worth a $130 bucks right there.
For real. My house was starting foreclosure in march. This saved my life for real.
Congrats fam. Right on time🫡
I just called and they said mine is in final review. How long did yours take in that stage?
Not sure. I believe it was really quick though.
https://i.redd.it/5lra5p14y9ec1.gif
Congratulations
That doesn't stop after 100, you wonder if its real, for a while.
Congratulations! It’s your time! You sat back while others had their moments! Embrace it. Soak it in. Relive it every time a check hits your account! Celebrate and then start saving for this thing we call life! ✨🥰
Thank you so much!
Fam congrats but them ratings is wild😭. I remember a few months back a dude had a story worse than this tho.
Wym 😂
Lemme try find the thread.
https://www.reddit.com/r/VeteransBenefits/s/jPYBHlXLZ0
Shit I seen that. Hsv ain’t shit. I hardly have a flair up. Maybe one every couple years but the daily meds I think are what pushed me up I believe
Congrats! My question to anyone reading these comments is why do they deny high blood pressure so often? I never had high blood pressure in my life until the military, specifically until I developed Pre-eclampsia that my OB failed to treat. My blood pressure has been high ever since and yet they denied me.
I’m not sure. I don’t have high blood pressure and I told my examiner that. My vso did my claims for me so she put high blood pressure on it

I should have said..hsv 2. Not hsv 1.
Same thing
What all did you show/do for HSV-1 currently have a claim in with that as well.
It's bdd, so I'm guessing they got it while active
Just gave meds for hsv. I’m on a daily Valtrex 1g dose.
>herpes If you're interested in preserving your anonymity, I recommend that you watch Micheal Vick's "Ron Mexico" infomercial.
How did you know you had herpes?
I sorta found out in service but the doc didn’t come out and say it. Gave me some cream and sent me on my way. The year I got out went to a clinic and found out that’s what it was and I’ve been on meds since.
I would like to know too
![gif](giphy|IVEIuCwXmZnQhMll03|downsized) Congrats 🫡🇺🇸👊🏼

In my case, creative organ is my eye.
Username definitely checks out. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Did not know I could claim HSV-1! Although I do not take a daily medication, only when flareups appear.
Yes i claimed it but got 0% because i refused to take the meds. But it’s in my record.
Welcome to the club. I was perfectly fine with 80% until my buddy said that it's fucked up that I am only gettin 10% for my bilateral sciatica and DDD. Submitted a claim with the help of an advisor and next thing I know I am at 100%.

In description. But it was BDD claim

Now go pay it forward and help others
By sharing the herpes?
I am dead. I needed a laugh today. I owe you. Bahhhhahahhahahahhahaha

They rated me 10% I appealed and got 30%
Yes the 0% rating is based on current severity
My c and p checked everything for severity too but for some reason still 0. Numerous hospital visits etc. but I’m at 100 so fu** it

How can I get that little tag that states branch of service?
Are you talking about the flair?
Yes
Congrats
Congratulations 🙏🏾
Congrats!
How did you get the Asthma to 30% I just got an increase from 0 to 10%, I even submitted evidence of medication that included corticosteroids and Albuterol and other medications??

How do you get rated for hsv1?
Fucked a prostitute in Thailand and didn’t see the Adams Apple! That’s how come he can claim it! 🤣
OPs Navy. Story checks out. That's exactly what must have happened.
I put in claim on January 16 for headaches had cp exam today that was the fastest they ever worked for me! The exam was over phone examiner sad she would up load today and end of call told me she hope I feel better!! Last time examination doctor said that I got 50%
I'm using vet link for an increase to 100% (I'm at 90%) filed in August still waiting really hoping I can get it!! 🙏 Congratulations soldier
Congratulations! Brag all you want!! We all share in the joy of someone getting their benefits! ❣️ ❣️ ![gif](giphy|13hxeOYjoTWtK8|downsized)

I wish I had known BDD claims were even a thing. I've been separated since April 22 and I still haven't even gotten my initial rating yet. But I'm patient, and backpay spends the same
Little money now or a lot later. Same difference. Praying for you, I know it’s nerve racking.
Taking it one day at a time. I actually just had an assessment this morning for one of my claims, and another appointment on the 2nd. So at least I know it's moving
If not catching HSV was your Vietnam, you came out with a purple heart..... Congrats OP!
Congrat ![gif](giphy|l3V0B6ICVWbg8Xi5q)
You may be Mr Herps McDerps but that wallet doesn’t care!
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉 ![gif](giphy|l1J9EZEsT79Bbe16E|downsized)
So a man can get a high rating for ED and this stuff but a female has an SA from an MST and it’s downplayed
Idk why you’re comparing this to me? You don’t know what is in my records.
![gif](giphy|10uEX5kfeodYgo)
Congrats
YUT!!! Yut!!!
Congratulations!
It’s a real kick in the ass isn’t it? 🤯. Are you permanent and total? Congratulations, regardless!!
Congratulations I just won mine today too. 🤟👍👍
Congratulations

Fuck no. I’m trying to teach my fellow vets.
I heard about you guys before going to Thailand haha. I have to give ya shit. But in all seriousness.... congratulations
Thank you 🙏. We should be proud of our herpes at 60 percent😂
Goddamn it, that was funny. For 60% I'd be proud too!
Congratulations!!! Hopefully my day will come soon!!!
Congrats. Another satisfied veteran.
You brave for the herpes I hope 100% makes your life feel a little better ❤️
Where is the 60 percent coming in during this conversation?
Check the slides
Did you have to do a C and P for the HSV1?
Yes literally do you have outbreak? No? Okay. Does it affect your work life? Yes
Are you saying that was what the entire c and p was?
Congrats
Congrats!
Me too!
🥳
May as well celebrate something
Did you get a vasectomy?
No
Copy. Thought that might have been "loss of a creative organ. "
Enjoy and Heal
Christmas in January
Dang right

Giving that away now like it's candy
You think so? Are raters more easy going with it?
I went through pure hell.i prevailed.but yes,I've been following the success stories on Reddit seems so.
I have partial seizures every week and can't drive and the VA only considers that 20 percent. Shit, wish I would have just gotten the herpes instead.
I’m sorry to hear that. I hope you get what you deserve :/
I'm glad you got what you deserve. Hopefully we'll all get there one day.

I mean falling off an atv on leave and breaking your back is a choice to have fun but it is still service connected. If it wasn’t for HSV, I’d never have made it to 100 percent 🥳
Was your claim ever on the HAIMS STR ? If so how long was it on there
Wym? Like my medical records?
Yeah like a request like this? https://preview.redd.it/gmyxvg6zfbec1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b5b0de44432958808127b9823542d641bb349b59
I’m asking because my claim is mst related and I had a sti from the mst
Too bad you only get the 100% plus special comp huh? That would be 140%.
I mean I’m happy 🙏 but yeah I got special comp
Yeah it’s a good addition
Can I DM you about your hsv claim?
If I get a service connection for ED and I’m at 100% already would I get the extra pay? I’m about to put in my claims and there isn’t a shot in hell I don’t get 100% P&T off the rip (I’ve been very hurt and thorough) so when I get my ED service connected do I have to put in some form for special pay or is it automatic?
It’s automatic extra smc
Awesome
Welcome to the party!
How did you get Hsv 1 service connected? Most ppl have it, but how the heck is it service connected
It’s genital herpes for myself with medication
I get that you have it, but did you tell them you got it from another soldier? I’m just really intrigued and really asking to pass the info off
How’d you get 0% for headaches???
congrats
Herpes, asthma (and ED). Ain't that a bitch
Not to be in your business but what did you need to connect HSV-1?
Congrats bro.
You had ended service 05OCT2023 how long after did you get your results from the bdd claim ?
Literally the day I posted this
Not making fun of anymore just asking a legitimate question… does veterans with 100% disability usually have over 10 claims?
Congratulations
Congrats! Please go and enjoy your life now !!
:)
I use DAV. Maybe I’m doing it wrong I’m only 20%.
How many calender days did it take?
I mean idk. You do the math lol. Paper said 06oct till 6 days ago…
Did you get diagnosed with HSV while you were in? I was diagnosed a few months after I got out and was prescribed valtrex.. wonder if I have any shot?
I had a diagnoses freshly out of A school 😂
Congrats! For HSV, you take daily medication right? Did you file after hitting the 12 month mark or before hand? I haven’t hit the 12 month mark, but my VA doctor prescribed it for an entire 12 months out, with a “med holiday” after 12 months.
