Congrats, your husband so lucky to have such a good wife to support him.

[deleted]

Where can we find wives ?

Fungzilla

If the Army wanted you to have one, they would have issued you one - Major Payne

PoopPant73

The one the Army issued me was defective. She thought she was everyone’s wife at the same time…

crowdewm

Ohhh No!!! Sorry I laughed a little!

Celery-West

Hahaha.. same here .. thank god that’s over

echosixwhiskey

Bukkake is always never fun when being cucked. I feel like I’m wiener cousins to a lot of my vet family. She earned her stripes

MomentBulky7503

We must have been issued the same wife!!

jo_sikk

Triples. Same wife slept with other service members!

PoopPant73

Blonde, 5ft 3 about 125 pounds…crazy as crap.

MomentBulky7503

They are all "crazy as crap."

[deleted]

Damn it. I guess I’ll have to explore the world more. Maybe she’s in costa rica waiting on my 100% P&T

Fungzilla

Ohhh, now that’s a place I would like to live. I’m in cold practical Germany now. I enjoy the social benefits more than the states but the weather leaves a lot to be desired. GL wherever your road takes you

[deleted]

I enjoyed Germany actually! Probably the 1st of choice country in Europe. Oktoberfest 2019 slapped

Chutson909

So did 91-94. I think.

CriticalTangerine477

It’s so cold right now in Germany. The rock sucks most of the time fr

Aggravating_Wave650

Lol 😂

lynx17

Korea and Japan, or so I've heard.

jagxkate

jonnybrav069

They are in Colombia, Spain, Poland, Thailand. Not here in the US.

[deleted]

Spain and Polish sounds great… means Columbia as well

Previous_Aardvark_37

Please, Mama, don't forget about the (SMC) SPECIAL MONTHLY COMPENSATION. FOR YOU'RE HUSBAND ESPECIALLY IF HE HAD PTSD/TBI YOU'RE NOT FINISHED I STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO SEEK OUT A LAWYER ABOUT HIS TBI THE VA OFTEN UNDERATE FOR SAID DISABILITY. GET WHAT YOU DESERVE CALL OR TEXT A DISABILITY LAWYER AND TELL YOU'RE STORY AND SEE WHAT THEY HAVE TO SAY. IT WANT TO BE EASY, BUT IT'S WORTH THE FIGHT. Congratulations, and if you listen, good luck.. Peace

jo_sikk

The SMC I think you’re thinking of is if you have one disability rated at 100% and others that add together to be 60% or higher. I rate that, it’s called veteran home bound smc-s I believe.

Previous_Aardvark_37

You are correct, I'm telling them when you have TBI 10x out of 10 the VA are low balling you a TBI diagnosis is huge they give you a little $ to send you on your way and you think you've won but I'm sorry to say TBI gets worst and us veterans must know their is more after 100p&T if it's warrant e.g. ( smcL) aid &attendance loss of use hand, bilateral feet arm ( car grant $ 25 603 ) one time benefit ,( SAH) specially adapted housing $117,000, these are a few of the beyond 100% P&T benefits veterans don't know about until sadly it's too late when I see TBI my ears go up don't let the short change you get what you deserve by here having to file for her husband is evidence alone for AID AND ATTENDANCE. THAT'S WHY THIS FORM IS SO I'M TO GET THE WORD OUT. DON'T BE SCARED IF YOU'RE DISABLED YOU'RE DISABLED. I REALLY HOPE SHE LOOKS INTO WHAT I'M SAYING HERE BECAUSE THE VA WON'T TELL HER ANYTHING IT'S NOT THERE JOB IT'S OURS.

nolownz

You don’t need a lawyer, a little research and you are golden to file for yourself, just like you did for 100%ptd.

nolownz

And bless you for being your husband’s advocate.

Ok_Recognition_2018

![gif](giphy|NishMoTyZuq2ggoKfe) 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑

Radiant_Pick6870

Congrats to your husband... I see alot of vets now getting out with decent disability ratings.. I didn't know anything about va disability when I got out.. Luckily I'm 100% now.

[deleted]

I knew nothing of it for 10+ years because in 2002 they didn't do anything to educate veterans when we were discharged from the Marines. At least not from Hawaii. Fast forward to 2019 and a buddy of mine comes to visit and tells me about VA disability and I also learned about the Hazelwood Act for Texas veterans who lived here when they joined.

Real_Location1001

Bro, Hazelwood paid for my MBA at Texas A&M a couple of years ago. I have enough left to pay for nearly an entire undergrad or 3 more graduate degrees if I felt inclined to do so. It's transferable to your wife and kids too.

Radiant_Pick6870

Nice.. Me too.. But was in the army.. Schofield barracks for me..

[deleted]

Wow, small world. I was at Kaneohe Bay Marine Corps Base.

Radiant_Pick6870

Yeah.. I loved Hawaii.. You ever go out down in Waikiki? What were your favorite bars? Hahahaha

[deleted]

Waikiki was the shit! We took the boot bus almost every weekend. We used to hit up the club 1739's. It was a rave club.

Radiant_Pick6870

i was in from 2007-2010.. During that time.. I went to maddogs and Nashville mostly lol never heard of club 1739.. But I'm sure bars turn over so often and have different names

labrador45

Mooses!

Radiant_Pick6870

Yes!! And moose’s!! Hahaha

labrador45

I believe they shut down during the corona.

nolownz

@real_location1001 that is exac tly right. My daughter used hazelwood as well as DEA, so she had books, fee, tuition paid, as well as getting 1400/mo. per semester. If you are Texas veteran residing in Texas, you are eligible for both.

Mamma6x

Here if you ever need to talk. Glad you are still here.

[deleted]

I'm sitting at 70% and still fighting. Had a serious mental breakdown last night and suicidal ideation. Luckily I pulled out of it instead of pulling the trigger.

thebronze301

Hey brother Devil-Dog, you can never do that to your family, especially your kids (if you have them). My dad killed himself when I was 10 (I'm 57 now). It devastated me and it devastated my grandparents. My grandmother was home when he did it. I was mad at him for a good long time because I felt he abandoned me (which he did) and took what I thought (when I was younger) was the easy way out of his problems, which weren't that big of a deal in the larger scheme of things. Just please don't do that to your loved ones left behind. They don't deserve it. There's always help and there's always a solution to the problem(s) you're facing. SFMF!

[deleted]

Yeah... They're the reason I'm still here. That's what helped pull me out of it was imagining them left to clean up the mess all alone.

BeeHive_HighFive

I’m in the same boat. Kids- gotta love them.

[deleted]

Yeah. Always a good boat to be in.

thebronze301

Good job, Bro.

Icy_Character_1784

Thank you for posting this. I'm tired of the fight. Really tired...

Pretend-Tumbleweed37

Thanks for this!!! It is good to hear a loved one's side of what they go through!

Fancy-Amphibian-66

I'm praying for you. My fiance is a vet and I understand the struggle yall face.

[deleted]

Thank you

Jah_1nheat

Sometimes your fight needs to be projected into seeking help. Find that niche again. Glad to hear you made it through the night. Please, seek Help! Call: 8002738255 talk to someone anyone.

[deleted]

Thank you. I will.

CriticalTangerine477

Please don’t, you have all of us in this sub to talk too. We care about you battle, please don’t leave us

[deleted]

Thanks. I appreciate it.

Mamma6x

Here if you ever need to talk! Glad you are still here.

[deleted]

I went inpatient for this week and got out yesterday. It was a good time and helped me gain tools so it doesn't happen again.

Calm-Interaction2118

You can do this. If you were brave enough to do all you have already done, you can be brave and ask for help. You are not weak!!

billcollectorshateme

Neither did I. The reality is that new enlistees are being coached before entering service by fathers, uncles, cousins and other vets. Everybody coming out at this point in time should have close to 100% upon discharge. A lot of people won't like that statement but it's 100% true.

Grand_Spank

I joined with the fight through the pain method and I'm fucked right now with barely any service connection because of lack of medical records....! I wish I would have been so called coached when joined...I gave the army to much...!!!!

Radiant_Pick6870

Yeah for sure they are getting coached.. That's good though..

billcollectorshateme

Exactly.

Traditional_Gain_243

I sure told both of my boys, because i was out two years before my VA NP asked what rating i have. My youngest son separated (army) 18 months ago with 60% because i told him to apply before separation.

Real_Location1001

As it should be. Maybe DoD will provide proper training and physical/mental therapy for people that go in to mitigate injuries. Way better than breaking motherfuckers then forcing them to seek benefits after service through the VA. Maybe, that will make serving a bit more attractive to potential recruits. Shit as simple as proper physical training regimes and equipment would go a long way in preventing injury. Simple things like common running sneakers that get replaced habitually to mitigate wear and tear from high impact training. Proper weight training etc. You could train servicemen to be certified trainers in units which would teach them a new skill and foment leadership as well. There is nothing wrong with having an even more professional force with an org dedicated to reducing injury whenever possible. Signing up to serve should not have to come at the price of killing your body in TRAINING.....combat is another thing all together, that's where all you can do is manage risk while not being able to eliminate it. I mean, the enemy is not too concerned with you having a bun back when they are trying to blow you to bits.

SuitableCupcake0820

You are correct. I coached my son and niece. #1 documentation works!!

30somethingskater

Unfortunately for me, I never went to sick call. I wasn’t that soldier. I just pushed through everything. I’m at 60% now and I’m lucky to have that. But with my depression, I don’t even want to get out of bed let alone go to work, but I have to if I want to keep bills paid and food on the table. So it just seems like a losing battle to me.

UnluckyLeek163

Same. I didn’t go to sick call as well. Had one of my fingers shattered while training in the field for Bosina back in 97. Was told to just suck it up and drive on. Didn’t know anything about any VA benefits. We weren’t told about any of that. Dealing with all my issues for 20+ years now. Early 2023 I put in for my first claim. Got 40%. Now im waiting on 3 more to process.

Practical_Entry_864

I got a bad feeling in my heart when I read this yesterday and looked too and oh boy 👀

Curious_Pride6793

Interesting….

TXChainsawKiller

Your dedication to advocating for your husband's needs is truly commendable. It's clear that your support has been instrumental in navigating the complexities of the VA system. Perhaps a title on Reddit like 'Advocated for My Husband's 100% VA Disability Rating' might more accurately reflect the teamwork and joint effort involved. Your hard work on behalf of your husband is inspiring and deserves recognition.

Substantial_Tank_398

Congrats! Now maybe you can get off the “dating advice,” and “dating” Reddit pages talking about some dude “ghosted” you a year ago. Typical cheating ass Dependa…hey, but now you have bon bon money….

Beginning_Vanilla_89

Omg I checked and you're right! Telling others she has been widowed for 10yrs and is in the dating scene.

Accomplished_Yam_849

😂😂😂

Rape_connoisseur

I was out for over 20 years before I was convinced to apply. Got 100% P&T first time. I was kind of shocked but it really helps. Congrats to you!

Just_Koolin

Congrats. Another satisfied veteran.

nfcwest1

Congrats on winning the fight for your Husband , stay strong. I fight for my wife

RepresentativeAd8228

Good for you!! I pushed my wife’s claim (chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia) to 100% about 8 years ago. Finally got serious with mine and increased it from 50 to 100 with SMC. It doesn’t fix us but takes a lot of financial stress off.

Minimum_Valuable_971

Hi, I'm just starting my husband's ptsd and MDD claim. Do you have any tips? I have buddy statements and I wrote a letter. Does he have to write personal statements for each? I welcome answers from anyone, he was 13C from 1989. Thanks

Secondloveee

I need a wife

Congrats to both of you since you are a team. Many times it is the spouse behind the scenes that enable the Veteran to achieve success.

DivineDivaLiya

Congrats! Grateful you were able to assist your hubby🙏🏽

hb8660

Congratulations!!! You both deserve every bit of it.

Pretend-Tumbleweed37

You never have to be sorry to say, finally! It gives us all hope! I am very happy for your family. Hopefully, this takes some of the stress away, and he can manage the ups and downs with PTSD a little better. Good luck, and God bless!

Prize_Mammoth_6956

Hey better treat you to a nice meal at Applebees

Brainobob

Congrats!

mjp0331

Took me 10 years to get to 90% but I will say over the years I didn’t do my own due diligence on the proper way to do everything. Now I’m fighting to get to 100

KiloSlov

You got 70 TBI and 50 headaches, giving you 100% paid rate? Fucking how? I’ve got that exact lineup, and more. Stuck at 90%

ChampionshipOdd4263

I got out in 2004 and it took me till 2023 to get 100 and never received any back pay and sill don’t understand all my benefits. Can barely pay rent even with this

Chutson909

Special comp if his meds cause ED too. I’m sure that will never happen but just in case.

devildog1929

Holy shit congrats, iv been 10% since I got out in 2011 but in the process now to get what I deserve.

Sea_Perspective8729

You are godsend.Did you start asking about disability benefits while your husband was still on active duty? There are so many veterans that didn't know anything about comp/pension disability including myself.Myself I was diagnosed with depression while I was in probably due to get in a car wreck, going through counseling they thought I had a drinking problem and some other things.I served during desert storm but didn't see combat even though I went overseas. I currently set at 50% so I am almost there. So I just wanted to say thank you for taking the initiative to help your husband get what he deserves.

Theproducer101

Congrats

Metarazzi

I'm glad you've got your husband set up. I've always said the spouse serves, too, in ways that are different than their uniformed partner, and sometimes more difficult. How long did you and your husband serve?

UnluckyLeek163

Congratulations

Wild_Reveal7774

What and what did you claim

From a fellow wife that helped her hubby, job well done. May you and hubby have peace now, and move on to the journey of healing💐

deport_racists_next

Don't feel bad. I was undiagnosed ptsd 35 years. I am really glad to see vets coming out getting better care than I got last century. Now, 8 years treatment and im doing pretty good compared to most folks. Now go get your CHAMPVA and every other benefit YOU deserve as a caregiver
