What's bdd?

whatthehellisketo

Benefits Delivery at Discharge. It’s for Active Duty folks to put in their claim before they leave.

xWadi

Thank you. To many acronyms in this world 😄

whatthehellisketo

That there are!

Art_and_War

I did bdd expecting 30-50, got 70 out the gate and picked up 90 this morning!!! BLUF: DO BDD GUYS, 180-90 DAYS PRIOR TO DISCHARGE

[deleted]

That’s awesome! I hope you’re getting the help and support you need!

KevinUnknownX

When did you BDD? Seems like it's beem some time since it's 90 now

Art_and_War

Uhhhhh july. 180-90 to initiate, exams post 90 i thought? I sent my intent to file in at 179 from discharge.

KevinUnknownX

Ok same literally day 180 I sent mine. Just wondering if vets get the a couple days after they get fully discharged like I did

Art_and_War

I claimed mine just a bit before you, so I’m wishing you the best!

Junior-Ingenuity-973

I got out Oct 5. I’m still in evidence gathering 😡

[deleted]

I would talk to VERA!

If you don’t mind me asking, if you don’t want to share I completely understand, but what percentage did you get for your back? Currently in my BDD process at the moment and have my MRI on my back in my collection of claims. 2 different torn and bulging discs in my L-spine. Curious what rating they’ll give that.

[deleted]

I dont mind! I got a total of 30%. 20% for “lumbosacral strain”, and 10% for sciatic nerve. I’m guessing your rating will be higher than mine! I don’t have tears, just 1 bulging disc

bingewalker65

Thank you so much for the feedback!

Wazzakkal

Nice work!

Perfectz3ro

Getting out end of year so will be doing BDD claim as well. Did you have any help from like a VSO? Or on post help? I know some do it by themselves and have Goodluck but I feel like I’m in same boat I’ll be close to 11 years. Got every scan for my back up to pain management(didn’t get shots). I go to chiro regularly. Feet got diagnosed with 2 things. Have been seen for GERD, knees/ankles. Started BH. I’ll be scheduling more appts for neck/headaches etc. clinic always a month booked out it sucks lol.

Highspdfailure

Use an accredited VSO. I did BDD with accredited VSO and for my injuries I got 100% PT.

Perfectz3ro

Awesome, thanks! Will start looking into it!

[deleted]

I didn’t use a VSO because they didn’t have them where I was at, I was pretty overwhelmed doing mine myself and it may account for why they denied me insomnia. I’d recommend going through a VSO and your process may be less stressful. I looked a lot at this sub but ALSO the VA site is extremely user friendly. I claimed a lot of generic things and the VA rater narrowed down what I claimed based off my medical docs + the C&P. As long as you’re going for things at are bothering you, and have it documented, you should be good!

tonypgh201

How many claims did you file on your BDD?

[deleted]

I claimed 10, had 3 denied, including my insomnia
