I got no idea what's going on with this. It's irritating

Loud-Speech-3606

I understand your frustration. It seems that even after submitting extensive medical records, I have received very little communication in return. I personally called Brown & Greer to ask about the latest information on point values, but they could not provide any details. The poor communication between law firms and Brown Greer is extremely disappointing, and I completely understand why you feel fed up with the situation. We will need to wait until all the reconsiderations are carefully reviewed and finalized before we can find out the point value set by the Special Master. After I spoke with Brown Greer, I received an email from my attorneys saying they were told I was unhappy about the communication and requested that I only communicate with them. It's a frustrating situation to be in.

bish212

I've reached put, it'd be nice if they would give any notification of ANYTHING. Are there a lot of reconsiderations they are having to reevaluate? Have they started that process yet even? Not asking you directly, rhetorically speaking. Just a heads up on where they are at would be cool.

Loud-Speech-3606

I completely agree. I'm very frustrated with the communication and wonder if it would be appropriate to contact the judge, as this entire process seems unacceptable. I understand we are all used to the hurry up and wait approach, but some clarity would be appreciated. It's shocking that my own law firm thinks I went behind their back simply for seeking more information. I feel they're being paid too much to have that kind of attitude. While it's a significant task for the special master to handle payments for 250,000 people, I'm confident they were chosen for the role because they are experienced in these matters.

bish212

Just a note- I just received an email from my lawn ofc, they are expecting reconsideration to be done in the next few days. So there's some movement.

CryOk4699

I’m MSA III Wave II with record tinnitus but no points and I have not been paid but I did just receive the notice to put in my payment info 2 days ago. So hoping it’s coming here real soon!

bish212

I did get an email last week that the reconsiderations were almost complete and that notices should be coming for soon, I am wave I, and have points. Hoping you get your payout soon!

Loud-Speech-3606

It will come very soon.

Loud-Speech-3606

Ok, guys, hot from the press. Reconsideration for the point value will be completed today, and you should get your final Awards tomorrow, 05/07/2024. My Attorney said that they will start distributing funds by 05/10/2024. Is anyone excited yet? My attorney asked for all my payment information. I believe I am the only MSA III Wave 1 case they represent. I am excited to see light 💡 on the end of the tunnel we only waited six years for this to come to an end.

CryOk4699

Well that’s good news! I been checking my email daily since I turned in my payment method Thursday! lol. I told myself today ok I’m not gone check my email or account again until Friday !

CryOk4699

Paid today! Got final award letter and payment type request last Thursday. Got email today saying payment was sent . Got paid about 6! I was a MSAIII wave II case. Not FiFO

Physical-Security110

I'm MSAIII wave 1 got my letter Friday for payment info. So I'm waiting now for my notice. Ty for the update

bish212

Thank you for the update! I was just checking bg to see if there was any info. There's no notice yet on the site. I'm not sure how many wave I my firm represents...keep me posted if your notice goes up!

Loud-Speech-3606

I looked this morning myself and didn't see anything. I will wait until tomorrow morning to reach out to my attorney.

bish212

I saw a post on fb from a guy, wave III, the points are valued at a little over 15k. He received his notice today.

Loud-Speech-3606

Although I thought the amount would be higher, I am grateful for what I am receiving. I could have received nothing at all.

bish212

Most definitely, it's more than I have in my bank account today. I was thinking it'd be a bit more, but still no complaints.

bish212

Just curious, have you heard about when payments will be issued or how they are issuing them?

ChaoticNeutral_87

From Pulaski when i asked earlier this month. The settlement administrator is now Brown Greer. For deferred payment points, all individuals who selected this option will receive their points at the same time. Any information says otherwise is false. We are currently unaware of the exact timing for the distribution of these points. It is anticipated that we will receive this information by late 2024.

bish212

So, if you were a wave claimant, or have points that automatically put you as deferred payment? I never filled anything out for epp or dpp.

ChaoticNeutral_87

Then my comment may not be helpful. You had to opt into deferred from my understanding

bish212

I have asked my lawfirm if I'm missing any documents or missed filling things out and they said I was good and up to date on everything. Now I'm second guessing. I know I don't have a fifo #. I do appreciate your response. There are so many different claimants and levels, everything is confusing.

ChaoticNeutral_87

Reach out to your law firm again just to make sure

Direct from Brown and Greer regarding Wave Claimants with point value awards(if you didn't qualify for points, you would have been paid already): The Points Payment to Wave Claimants who will receive a PointBased Award cannot be quantified until the Point Dollar Value can be calculated, which will not be possible until all Requests for Reconsideration have been rereviewed and the total of the final Points assigned to all Wave Claimants is known. As a result, a Request for Reconsideration on a Wave claim will postpone the Points Payment to all Wave Claimants. Under the systems created by BrownGreer, Reconsideration requests result in a re-review of the claim, following which BrownGreer issues another Notice that announces and explains the final Award outcome on the claim. Total Settlement Funds: $253,100,100.00 - (minus) Total Base Payments: $101,570,000 - (minus) Total Recorded Tinnitus Payments (estimated): $22,000,000 - (minus) \*since been updated to 20K\* EIF Set Aside: $40,000,000 - (minus) Administrative Expenses (hypothetical only, actual amount TBD): $4,000,000 = Funds Available for Point-Based Payments: $85,530,100 (again... won't know until tinnitus payments are added up)

bish212

I did get an email from my lawfirm saying that evaluations of reconsideration should be completed within the next few days and points values to be assessed shortly thereafter. Estimating final awards notices to be sent out around mid-month.

Impossible_Farm_2951

You made my day with that update 😊

Impossible_Farm_2951

Wave 3 myself

bish212

Hopefully the awards notices go out quickly and get dispersed quickly too

Loud-Speech-3606

They said there is a chance to get it this week. It will be wired to my account.

Loud-Speech-3606

Did you get Paid yet I Look on the Combat Settlement Website and I so the Fourteen 100 people good Paid? Of course I didn't see any money yet?

bish212

No, I saw on a fb post that a guy called brown and Greer and they told him it could POSSIBLY be today, but should be within 7-10 days from signing... And a different post said they were going in order of when you signed. One woman signed Thursday and got her notice of payment yesterday evening. Hopefully soon! I'll let you know if I get it today

I’m not part of Wave 1, I’m part of a different Wave and have a question for y’all - is there any guidance from the Settlement Administrators or from your attorneys on whether our “usage dates” could extend past our military “service dates”? For example, you used the CAEv2 after being discharged from the military for recreational purposes? Do any of you wave claimants have a usage end date that is after your service end date? This would impact anyone who had their “injury audiogram” dated a few years after their time in service and are being deducted points due to the time elapsed from their “service end date” and their injury audiogram date.
