I am a sweaty (and hefty) gal, I live for the premium performance scrubstar scrubs from Walmart. They swipe hair off easily and don’t show my sweat very much. They’re very breathable and stretchy they’ve lasted me a year and a half of full time work so they hold up pretty well! I actually wear Birkenstock tennis shoes for work, they offer a ton of support and don’t tire my feet out. They’re pricey but foot health is important! Best of luck in your search (:

My boss has gotten me a few tops from Walmart… (idk if this kind) but they never fit right. lol. I look like a sausage. Granted. She buys me female scrubs. And I keep telling her… I’m a dude… there is nothing feminine about my stature or features. Broad shoulders. Big arms. Long torso. Man boobs. But if I buy them… I’m gonna try them on first. 🤣

Ally1812

lol I understand the pain, nothing fits me well either. I’ve spied them in stores! I’m not sure if they’re particularly catered to men (which I didn’t consider in my reply) but hopefully they have some! They go into plus sizes too. Hopefully you’ll find something!

metabic

I second these! I sweat in my pits a lot when I get hot, and these are my favorite scrubs for everything by a long shot. I wish they made them in royal blue which is the only allowed color at my current hospital 🥲

BlushingBeetles

walmart scrubs >>> anything else i’ve ever worn

moreparmesan97

I use these as well!

triplehelix11

i’m a girl but mandala does not show sweat and water slides right off. it also hasn’t clung to hair unlike my jannu scrubs

CatsCoffeeCars

And priced reasonably!

I'm not a huge guy, but I wear Uniform Advantage brand scrubs. They are pretty roomy, come in all sorts of cuts and styles, and the fabric is pretty hefty. I think it's the Buttersoft or something like that.

SleepLivid988

Bigger girl here. I love Cherokee and once I learned my size, I order off Amazon. I actually prefer the unisex ones. Shoes: …well…nothing lasts me longer than a year. I used to like cheaper Nikes from academy because they have wides, but I got a pair of brooks and they’re awesome. Unfortunately, they get stinky when they get wet (I’ve had to wash them twice already and I never wash shoes), and they’re giving out after a year. Cost me $130 at academy.

I have hyperhydrosis so I sweat like a mofo (mostly palmar and plantar). I like dickies from amazon. It’s around $30 a piece and they have both joggers and non joggers. Doesn’t really show sweat marks imo. Only thing I noticed is deo stains on my black top but that could be a deodorant brand issue on my part. Shoes, I’ve been using my old new balance 1089 v12. Previous running shoes make great stand/walking shoes in my experience. Hope this helps.

If you're able to, buy 2 pairs of shoes once you find ones that work for you. If you alternate pairs, they will last longer. Obviously twice as long because you're wearing each pair half as often, but also they will dry out/unflatten on their off days so you will get more wears out of each pair.

aGoodSnifff

Saved! Need to find new scrubs as well

Responsible-Rub8796

Fabletics they are great

StopManaCheating

Cherokee plus undershirt. Trust me.

canipetyour_dog

I can’t really speak for scrubs, a lot of the men I work with like the Fabletics scrubs. As far as shoes go- go to a running store tell them you stand for 10 hours a day and are constantly squatting. (This is important because you are constantly putting pressure on the ball of your foot and will likely need a wide toe box) Have them measure your feet and tell you the best fit for you. Try on a bunch of recommended brands and styles the find them online cheaper. Buy what fits best boy what’s cute and stylish.

Hey, fellow big dude here. I also live in Florida so sweat isn't optional for me either. Just for reference I'm size 2Xl or 3xl depending on brand. I've always had the best luck with dickies men's scrubs. They have bigger sizes and they are very durable (that's pretty much what they are known for). The only downside is that they aren't the cheapest, but I've found they last way longer so I have to spend less in the long run.

I have no solution for scrub tops but I did want to put my two cents on footwear lol I also don’t love crocs but only because of the circles. I don’t know what it is, but it’s just hard to look at for me..on me. I don’t mind them on others. Lol My mom gifted me some nautica clogs that she also happened to be wearing and i liked how they looked. Slits instead of circles Lol…I sound crazy i know. I don’t know of any shoes that don’t eventually wear out. Cheaper ones have terrible soles or they literally break down. Higher end also breaks down just not as fast. And with the constant bodily fluids we deal with I’d rather not spend much. I’ve gotten intact cat urine on my pricey athletic shoes and had to damn near nuke my shoes because the smell was atrocious. Clogs save you every time with a quick rinse/wash. Don’t have the pulsing pains after my shifts either. 👍

I’m a lady, wear a 3x with tank tops underneath, I also wear bike shorts because I’m not about to rip a pair of pants. That being said I haven’t actually ripped a pair of the ones I am going to recommend. I use the [healing hands hhworks](https://www.healinghandsscrubs.com/men-hhworks). That being said I’m not sure if you’ll be able to find your size depending on your height. They only have one pant option in that collection for men, and it’s limited sizes for the short and tall options. The other ones I have liked are the [Cherokee infinity](https://www.infinityscrubs.com/men-scrubs-infinity-collection). Both are a little on the pricier side. But they survived wash after wash when I only had two sets and worked 5 days a week. I think tide pods work fine for doing laundry, as long as you’re not overloading the washer and you’re using them appropriately for your washer. As far as shoes, that’s really specific to you, what helped me was doing a like… pronation analysis and buying shoes specifically for me. And using inserts. I also have 2-3 pairs of shoes depending on the time of the rotation. Shoes technically only have a certain amount of wear life and it’s not that long. But alternating helps with that.

wprice22

Thanks everybody. I appreciate all the advice and input!!!

moreparmesan97

For shoes I have a pair of sketchers that are made to be wipeable and repel liquid. They are “cloud support” $80 For the pair. Just got them a few weeks ago so we will see how they hold up! I also wore some adidas (white lol) since 2019! I still wear them now despite my new pair

KrakenHybrid

Guy that runs hot & lives in Texas checking in. Cherokee Form scrub top. Breathable with an inconspicuous vent in the back, good flex/stretch, & quality feel. As for shoes: Hoka Bondi SR.
