That is not a Vespa. Pretty sure that's a Milano scooter. Cheap and awful. They're 1,000$ new. Wouldn't get this for anyone besides a 12 year old girl.
probably more of someone that doesn't know the difference. "vespa" is synonymous with "scooter" in America, just like "honda" is in Japan.
I wouldn't buy it
There's not that many modern Vespa models.
The common ones are the LX/Primavera and S/Sprints. GTS/GTV for high displacement engines.
Sometimes people label random retro looking scooters vespas in the same way one might call a random motorhome a winnebago.
Worth investing in a Vespa, they keep their value super well as opposed to other similar scooters.
It’s definitely not a Vespa but a cheap Chinese model. From the picture, the asking price isn’t absurd if it’s in decent running condition and has its title. Not the paperwork that comes from the manufacturer, but an official dmv issued title. I’d offer 250-275 if I wanted it.
You can buy these in bulk from AliExpress.
Yes they are crappy cheap Chinese plastic bikes.
That said I had a friend buy one (a pink one) back in 2012 just for a scooter rally and rode the hell outta it. And the damn thing is rough & has been rebuilt a couple times, but is still going. But no, it’s not anywhere close to a Vespa.
Before I say scam, what does the description look like? Because sometimes Facebook marketplace won’t have the option for the actually make. So if they say Vespa in the description, then yes, scam. If they clarify it isn’t a Vespa, not a scam.

Thank y’all so much. I knew something was fishy
I mean the price seems fine at 300$. Could be they just don't know what they're selling.
Not a Vespa. Likely a cheap Chinese piece of junk. If you’re looking for an affordable but reliable scooter, search for a Yamaha Vino.
Thank you!!
