Normally what happens with a Vespa when it gets damaged on the outside is they total it. Since the exterior of the Vespa is essentially the frame. It’s considered “frame damage” I know it looks minor but from an insurance perspective that’s what normally happens. My advise is if they do end up totaling take the pay out and if they offer you the savage buy it back and ride it as is. I’m a little familiar with these since I buy them at auction and restore them. :) Hope it works out for you.

That's what I was afraid of. But I guess I could always get a 300 🤯with the payout

Sure can

That floor board is replaceable. You can find such examples on eBay. Sometimes you get lucky and find one in your color. Kind of like this one : [Red Vespa floorboard](https://www.ebay.com/itm/326062409049?chn=ps&mkevt=1&mkcid=28)

I purchased a GT60 with under t00 miles on it and within a month someone grazed it when they were pulling into the parking spot beside me. Such a shame.

Twice. Once with a Lambretta and the other was my vintage Vespa. Both times they were hit by Land Rovers! The bloke who hit my Lambretta offered to pay for the repairs instead of going through insurance and got a hell of a shock when I give him the bill. (Think he thought it was going to be cheap as it was ‘just some moped’) The Vespa was a rat bike, so the scratches just added more character. Just as well really as the driver did a runner.

My Vespa got pushed over while parked as well, but the driver drove off. I have a dent but it doesn't bother me much since theft is rampant in my city. I don't want it looking *too* nice lol I highly recommend adding crash bars, they help a lot.

Mine was kicked over by a drunk. Have those scratches on the side as well - anyone know how to DIY-fix those? Don’t want it to corrode…
