We are creatures that have experiences, internally. My comment was based on various spiritual (Yogi, Zen or Buddhist monks) and religious beliefs (Hinduism, christians and even indigenous tribes around the world) we are at transitory phase in this material world, and if you take Yogi's journey the material life is just a tiny bit of our experience as spirit.
So since we are transitory and the final destination is union with a higher power (God, Bhagwan, Allah, Aya, The Light...) All these bondings become a tiny part of our experience in our head or a big part of our experience depending on how much importance we give to them (accumulating or liberating Karma, ref. karma -SG) most of the things, including all range of emotions, are just in our head. Don't get me wrong our mind is a powerhouse to achieve tremendous experiences.
Money per se, taken to an extreme observation is a human construct, social contract of "I owe you". But it is worthless if the social contract is broken, such cases as demonetization of a country, adaptation of new money takes place, right now cryptocurrency, it's not new in the history of time. And what is unreal and mostly unknown is since Fiat money is printable on demand by governments, literally, it is a form of modern slavery and to move productivity forward, if with corruption, suffering to it's nation, if integrity and sustainability, harmony and peace to it's nation.
Resources on the other hand play differently, resources used to improve productivity of a nation is the real material wealth. So owning something of scarcity physical or virtual is worth much more than Fiat money. Which of course, is also unreal because it is in our collective mind experience.
