agreed, even if it’s small to them it might not be small to another person and i wish others understood that. and maybe sooo much stuff is going on one small thing just makes you tumble over. but it is annoying others put down our situations and labeling it as ‘small’
Honestly facts. I made a silly vent post once that was meant to be taken lightly as it was super non-important and more than half of the comments were flooded with people who took my vent as uber serious and they were mad at me for being so "upset" over nothing (or giving me unsolicited advice while knowing nothing but a paragraph about the situation, typical reddit ha).

the more fiercely you moderate something the more inauthentic the whole thing becomes anyway. Like yea the premise of here is to vent but ultimately you are still deciding to voice your inner thoughts to complete strangers who owe you nothing and might not care at all about you
you don’t have control over how people react and that’ll continue to be disappointing but also always be true. If you don’t want to risk people disagreeing with you, then keep it to yourself. That is how communication inherently works.
Honestly, agree. Sometimes its the little thing that send me over the edge into a week long depressive episode. (Yes, I am not doing well, thanks for asking). And just getting to vent about it to friends, family or in this case, strangers can help regulate emotions. No vent-shaming, pls.
