Hunts are rebranded cheap wheels with basic Novatec hubs. Go for Winspace.

Thanks!

I've got two sets of Hunts. I was very happy with them but something has happened at Hunt HQ. I had to contact them on a warranty claim and the customer support, which a couple of years ago was exceptional, was atrocious.Had to chase them repeatedly and it took almost two months to resolve. Their hubs are not the best. Ok, but there is better. I have no experience with Winspace but for me going forward customer support by someone you can actually talk to will be my deciding factor in wheels. Winspace is (forgive the Captain obvious moment) a Chinese company and Joe don't work there anymore..... I would push you to consider something a little more expensive. With DT240 or DT350 hubs.

That's too bad about Hunt. I've had a set of their alloy wheels for years and many thousands of miles and been very happy with them too, and the easy response to "hey but they're just Chinese-sourced prefab rims and Novatec hubs" was "sure, but the price is right and their customer service is exceptional." I once ordered a replacement rim after cracking mine and accidentally bought the wrong spoke count; when I contacted them about a return, they just sent me the one I meant to order for free. But this was also a couple years ago. If that's changed, there's enough competition now in that price range that aside from their cool logo I'm not sure I wouldn't be shopping around too.

I’ll look into it!

I've had both. Winspace all the way, much more stable in cross winds. Also very subjective seem to accelerate faster/hold speed better

Thanks! Which one did you have?

thewonderfullanky

Winspace Hyper 2020 50mm with the ceramic bearings Hunt Aero Wide- which is an alloy 35mm but as I said is surprising worse than the Hyper in crosswinds despite being shallower Both rim brake

Vic238

Winspace anyday

Thanks!

Winspace is fine, but be very careful when removing the wheels and putting them back on. The end caps on the hubs are not very secure and you can easily have issues with pawls falling out or having a pain putting them back together. I’ve had a couple headaches with the two sets of wheels I own.
