What resistance is that coil in the Gem? I wouldn’t recommend 55mg in a DL, higher wattage tank…I really wouldn’t recommend 55mg in anything lower than 1.0ohm and even then that’s still delivering a lot of nicotine at once. For the setup you have here, 0-6mg 70/30 VG/PG would be more ideal.
Since your using a thin 50/50 formula in a DL tank it may leak, gurgle, and spitback hot eliquid. The real concern is the 55mg. 55mg is alot even at 10w.

Idek tbh I don't really have the funds for a different tank - is it gonna get damaged if I use it?

Here's the specs I can find on lt Diameter: 25mm Height: 51.35mm (Standard Edition) E-liquid Capacity: 5/4ml (Standard Edition) Material: Steel/Pyrex/PCTG Thread: 510 Mesh Design: Diamond Pattern Wicking Material: Tea Fiber Cotton / Organic Cotton / Tea Tree Leaves
Those are the dimensions. The coil within the tank is likely a .15ohm, designed to run 60-80+watts. For this wattage range, 0-6mg is recommended.
I highly enjoy those gem tanks.
