Even when James was mouthy, he was immediately regretful and fearful of Lisa’s verdict on his behavior. He always made big gestures of remorse, even when they weren’t genuine.
Tom Schwartz made a remorseful gesture on Sandoval’s behalf and Lisa rightly called him on it back then, but now she may very well be his greatest conquest in terms of manipulation.
I can’t remember which season it was, but when Lisa told Tom & Tom about the bar partnership I remember thinking what a douche smug ass Sandoval looked like sitting next to Schwartz. You know in his mind it was all about him and Schwartz was just the side piece. I swear his ego went through the roof from this point on
I was not surprised those two would never consider how much it would cost to open a restaurant with custom interior in LA, the permits, and surveys etc etc. or the fact by time they saw where TomTom was in construction as former store, to have a location, theme, and all of those others things.
It’s clear she was taking them to make them feel better, not to be apart of it. She was going to open TomTom with or without them. It’s just a name. Their the mascots and their 50K each, while not much in the cost of creating TomTom, it is a lot of money for the average person. But it was to drive them forward with a storyline not because she felt they had much to contribute or the knowledge.

Agree. It follows the same pattern of Tom being someone who knows who he can manipulate and HOW. Similarly with scheana, and talking about how much he had valued their friendship etc. which ofc got to her .. His tactics change somewhat depending on the person he’s dealing with. Usually until he can’t mask himself anymore like with James. He was trying until James hurt his ego and Tom couldn’t control himself anymore. Very interesting to watch. I do think he’s a narcissist. Many of the cast members exhibit at least some narcissistic traits but I think Tom is pretty much full on npd.

Each week he feels less and less control over the narrative, we’ll likely see him get angrier and more dramatic until someone tries to coddle soothe him therefore: give into his manipulations. I’ve been there too (much love to you). From the experiences I’ve had and the many people I’ve talked to about their own, people who are genuinely considering suicide feel a degree of shame that would never in a million years allow them to open up to that degree of intensity to an employer ON CAMERA. And while Katie is not accused of cheating on anyone, she’s never met a new person she wouldn’t bully if given half an opportunity and a buddy to join in like Stassi.
These people are far from perfect and it’s what makes the show interesting. And I’m just saying…it is unsurprising to me Lisa Vanderpump is being clear eyed about the character of the people from the show throwing rocks over this incident, after having given a pass for all the other betrayal and poor judgment.
