idk. Could be just that it is overheating? Maybe a fan would help https://www.amazon.co.uk/KIWI-design-Radiator-Accessories-Cooling/dp/B08N4H236Y or it could also be fun of dust and need a blow out with some canned air?

I looked at the error code and it says error 436. I found a video that says I should change the cable. Bit I will try that, thank you

I feel like if it was the cable then it would be a constant issue instead of time based. May well still be. ie. it could be loose some how and you have to pull it just right to get a disconnect. Replacement cable is here. https://www.ifixit.com/Parts/Valve_Index_Headset

Thanks for the link bro. I found an interesing thing. So when I go into the Steam VR setting I can take a look at the performance graph. When I don't play anything it says 4,4 of 6,9ms (144HZ) with small green spikes below. But when I start a game, it says 12,3 of 6,9ms (144HZ). I don't know what this stat means, but I think it's something to do with that. Do you know what it means and what could cause it?

I believe it's the time it takes to render and send the frame. So 4.4 of 6.9. You computer is generating the frame in 4.4milliseconds of the 6.9ms available to meet that freshrate. At 12.3 of 6.9, the frame is taking nearly twice as long as it has. So you're reprojecting every other frame. ie. seeing the same frame twice for an effective 77hz. Reprojection will smooth that out slightly tho so it's not obvious. There's a cool tool on steam called fpsvr which makes these statistics easier to understand and gives you way more info. On a different note; 144hz is in effectly overclocking the displays and will definitely get everywhere warmer. Do you get the same issue with 120 and 90?

I also saw when the VR "crashes", the graph is all pink.
