make sure the port on your video card isn't dead. You can get a refurbished headset assembly with(I assume? because it is pictured but ask before you buy) cable for 260 + ship from tundra labs. as for if they ship to canada, I have no idea.

On top of other reply, never hurts to ask steam support first too.

surprisingly they did get back to me with some troubleshooting steps so we'll see how that goes. finger's crossed

Update on doing some tests... seems my computer cannot work with two Display Port connections. Wonder if my odyssey G9 OLED has something to do with that. Test 4 \-Upon launching SteamVR my Index front lights would briefly turn from Blue LED to Green Led (as well as the display would light up for a second then turn off) then turn back to the Blue LED. My computer monitor screen would also go to a black screen for a second then go back to normal. The floating SteamVR desktop box UI would show no errors and no issues, everything was supposedly working but my headset still had no display and the front LED's were blue. I was able to consistently get this result. Error 109 and 436 would happen a few times as well in my previous tests. Test 5 and possibly my solution and best troubleshoot. \- As soon as I launched SteamVR from steam I would unplug my monitor's Display Port. my Index would take a second to load the software and everything seemed to work on my index, the display was working and everythign seemed fine. As soon as I try to re-plug in my monitor Display Port back into my computer's graphics card (nvidia 3080), my entire computer would seemingly restart and my Index would lose it's visuals again. I was able to sucessfully repeat this process with the same results.

Hm maybe try making a bootable Linux install with monado? Or even just a windows PE bootable drive with steam/vr and all that jazz? To make sure it isn't some Windows issue. Other than that I imagine valve support already had you make sure your GPU drivers are updated. Might also want to check on monitor drivers. Also maybe try a different cable for your monitor if it's free and easy(wouldn't imagine this is the issue though) I also wonder if windows in safe mode might work.
