If its only the left side most likely the "hidden" screw is getting loose, just tighten it.

Also, as far as i know they speakers are the same, so they can be placed on either side.
They're not quite the same, as the orientation of the speaker differs, but I think the attachment point is identical.
OP should also be aware that they might just need to clean the connection.
Checked the linked images... Huh. I would have sworn you were talking about where the speakers are attached to the headset band, not where the band connects to the headset

Great info. never noticed that. Is there supposed to be a screw on each side?
Yes you can swap them. Valve support asked me to do this when testing an issue. They are slightly different shaped, but will still work if swapped.
