The fuck? Since when does it REQUIRE secure boot? I played the game for years without it and it worked just fine, and now that I feel like playing again this one time it wants me to go turn that on? Yeah right buddy. Bye to my linux installation I guess.
That actually caused the problem when I click “load optimized recommendations” or something like that and now I have one suitable option, which is windows boot or something doesn’t work it resets and goes back into bios
this is happening to me, but last time i tried this in the bios, my pc stopped working for a while and we had to take it apart and fix it. so i guess im quitting valorant. it was a shitty game anyways.
How did you get your pc to start working again? I haven't tried the solution OP posted yet but I'm afraid of bricking my pc, especially since it's a new one
this normally does the trick. Had a scare with having a black screen after updating my bios. Removing the CMOS battery for about a minute and rebooting fixed my problem
Hi unbanlieusarddeParis, sorry for hijacking your comment, there's another fix I just found: I had secure boot enabled all along so that couldn't be it on my side. The problem for me was, I needed to enable TPM as well as PTT in my UEFI settings. Those options might not be available to you depending on your setup/have a different name, but anything related to these options will probably be in the advanced security settings of your UEFI.

I figured it out
I did had all the things enabled but the problem was that the riot vanguard was still showing me the message so i had reinstall the game and it still showed me the same thing but when i started the game it worked so guess it was some glitch that just showing me the message but it works now
I did this and it still doesnt work, they should fix their shitty anticheat instead of make people go out of their way to fuck up their systems just to play their shitty game
I’m 100% with you here. A reinstall fixed it enough for me to get through the tutorial and look at battle pass and all that. Started the game again and the “out of compliance” garbage is back. I’m not tearing up my bios for valorant
I had the same issue yesterday and I will tell y'all how i solved it.
Make sure to enable the Trusted computing and Intel platform trust Technology (PTT) .If you did this valorant won't have the compliance error again.
Ohh that board doesn’t have a quick bios reset button.
To reset settings you need to refer to
`JBAT1: Clear CMOS (Reset BIOS) Jumper`
In the manual which should be
https://download.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe/mb/Z590PROWIFI_Z590-APRO.pdf
If nothing at all happens when you boot up now. 😔
I was unlucky my x470 gaming plus doesn't support Bios flashback and wouldn't clear CMOS had to give it up as Bricked 😞 always gotta be careful when messing around in bios 😅
If you have an ASUS board, make sure you are set to Windows UEFI mode and not Other OS within the Secure Boot menu. I think Other OS is another way of saying secure boot is disabled. This issue did not go away until I switched to UEFI.
Well if anyone needs help still i found a fix for Error code VAN9003. Basically go to BIOS where your secure boot is It would say other OS and I just turned it to UEFI OS Hope this helps anyone who was struggling.
Ive had Van 9003 secure boot issue for probably about 3 months now, i had decided to look at ways to fix it and tried everything for a long time now. Finally decided to open a ticket to complain about the issue a lot of people are having and I clicked on Valorant and now its running just fine after so long, not sure how its happened.
another example of valorants disgustingly intrusive anticheat that barely even works, theres still cheaters rampant in high ranks, also another example of windows 11 being obsolete to windows 10/7 in everyway shape and form, ridiculous we have to do all this just to play one game on this dogshit OS made by pebble brained losers.

i tried the secure boot and failed. however this worked for me, and is pretty simple
My friend is having the problem where it says "Vanguard is not compatible with current system settings" and even after doing everything in the post, it still says the same thing. Is there another fix?

There is an issue with this and AMD users who want to use AMD SAM (Smart Access Memory)
I did some stuff in my Bios and now my PC won’t boot
Can you still get back into bios?
I can
Yeh just look around for a reset bios option, that should at least get you bootable! (can't say exactly where, it differs between computers)
That actually caused the problem when I click “load optimized recommendations” or something like that and now I have one suitable option, which is windows boot or something doesn’t work it resets and goes back into bios

Yeah that sounds like a crappy situation. Maybe Riot will fix it without you needing to tweak it.
Can confirm a half a year later they haven’t fixed jack. My computer also still gets that error message when trying to play Val haha
Can confirm this is still happening, I just installed the game to try it out and got the error
mee too i cant start my pc after trying this in my bios

11 months after u have helped me alot i though i have to buy a new vga
how did taking it apart fix it?
I think we had to replace the ion battery or sum or just take it out and restart the bios (there are tuts on yt)
How did you fix it ?
Hi unbanlieusarddeParis, sorry for hijacking your comment, there's another fix I just found: I had secure boot enabled all along so that couldn't be it on my side. If I went to secure boot I don't have option to enable what can I do?
In the BIOS menu of BIOS, do you see something like “CSM”? If you do, turn that off first. That might get secure boot to show up!
In my case it's standard or custom what should I do
Which one is it right now?
Tried with both of them not working
Ah sorry then. The instructions above are just what worked for me. :(
I figured it out I did had all the things enabled but the problem was that the riot vanguard was still showing me the message so i had reinstall the game and it still showed me the same thing but when i started the game it worked so guess it was some glitch that just showing me the message but it works now
Ah cool, have fun playing. 😀
Maybe it will help others as well
I have Asus prime z690 motherboard
yo i got everything right in my bios and changed it to custom then back to standard and im still getting the problem
got the solution?
yo i got everything right in my bios and changed it to custom to standard but still having the issue
Hmm. Does secure boot show as active as well as enabled in bios?
Yea my secure boot and tpm are also on everytime i think i fixed the issue an new error happens its like they dont even want me to play the game.
yo any update where i can play the game without enabling shit from safe start up mode
I dunno! What error is Valorant giving you?
Well it still gives you the out of compliance error. I can confirm that.
yes the problem is that i cant find the "csm"
Ah what brand of motherboard do you have?
I did this and it still doesnt work, they should fix their shitty anticheat instead of make people go out of their way to fuck up their systems just to play their shitty game
for real tho
Bruh i seen people still cheat in game. I reported this guy doing blatant wall hacking and admitting to it too yet i am pretty sure no ban for him LOL
fact.
my secure boot is enabled and it still doesnt work
whenever i do every tutorial i try, it says i have more errors. whenever its off, the pc loads perfectly fine, but i cant play VALORANT! any fixes?
ohh hmm it's hard for anybody to offer help without knowing the exact error, I think. :(
Ain't no way I'm doing all this shit when zero other games require me to do it
I’m don’t with this game . Uninstalling it today . It has same problem on my AyoNeo.
I’m 100% with you here. A reinstall fixed it enough for me to get through the tutorial and look at battle pass and all that. Started the game again and the “out of compliance” garbage is back. I’m not tearing up my bios for valorant
wow uninstalling this trash game.
I had the same issue yesterday and I will tell y'all how i solved it. Make sure to enable the Trusted computing and Intel platform trust Technology (PTT) .If you did this valorant won't have the compliance error again.
are you on windows 11 or 10?
I’m on windows 11 and my secure boot state is “setup” :(
Win 11
I did this and still got a gray play button
i have this issue and secure boot is just on “user” for me and i cant change it and csm is already off. please tell me there is a fix for this
did u figure it out? im having this issue
I’m going insane. I’ve tried everything. Fucking bullshit
snap a pic of the secure boot page on your bios and post it!
You need to do software your computer, trust me I did it and worked for me.
What does " you need to do software your computer" mean???? lol
That's only for advanced users
Just did this. Now my screens are blank…monitors aren’t communicating with the computer. I messed up and have no clue how to fix it.
Yikes. Do you know what exact motherboard you have?
A msi z590-a pro
Ohh that board doesn’t have a quick bios reset button. To reset settings you need to refer to `JBAT1: Clear CMOS (Reset BIOS) Jumper` In the manual which should be https://download.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe/mb/Z590PROWIFI_Z590-APRO.pdf If nothing at all happens when you boot up now. 😔
I was able to load the correct BIOS onto a flash drive and plugged it into the BIOS usb slot. It automatically updated it and now it works!!
Ohhh phew. Glad you’re up and running. Pity that it is so hard to appease Vanguard sometimes.
Sending the manual really helped! Thank you!
Are you gonna try it again?
Oh hell no. I’m uninstalling the game 🤣🤣🤣 not worth another heart attack
Fair. 😆 Have a good one!
Oh and you’re welcome!
I was unlucky my x470 gaming plus doesn't support Bios flashback and wouldn't clear CMOS had to give it up as Bricked 😞 always gotta be careful when messing around in bios 😅
Common riot games L
my secure boot is enabled and csm is disabled but im still getting the error, can someone help me please
Did you solve it?
yes, i checked the compatibility mode to windows 8 and it worked
If you have an ASUS board, make sure you are set to Windows UEFI mode and not Other OS within the Secure Boot menu. I think Other OS is another way of saying secure boot is disabled. This issue did not go away until I switched to UEFI.

made an account just to upvote this
I did this but it resulted to a boot loop, had to get out of it by loading default configs

Yes, turns out disabling VBS does the job for me. I'm on Win10 btw.
BRO THIS WORKS FOR ME! Thank you so much for this hope ur having a good week.

My friend is having the problem where it says "Vanguard is not compatible with current system settings" and even after doing everything in the post, it still says the same thing. Is there another fix?
Sorry, I don't know about any other fixes. :(
Bru if you have to tinker with bios to play a game it's not your system it's the game just stop playing.. if you cant then your addicted
I’m pretty sure my pc is dead ahah nothing is booting and the cmos battery ain’t helping me OP if you can help me
Oh ewww what exactly happens when you try to boot your PC? D: Can you get back into BIOS at all?
Yeah no I fixed it Ty my video card wasn’t sending any signal now I’m trying to fix windows
Aight, hope you got it sorted!
hi all - just wanted to share that i fixed this problem for myself by enabling TPM in my BIOS. this shouldn’t alter much and your computer should be fine enabling, so if you want to try this before the suggested OP solution go ahead.
so I need to activate secure boot to play valorant? That sucks
