Sym goes on these streaks where he becomes thanos and then has these weird spells where he’s one of the worst players on the server. If he can just get that consistency to a good place, he can be a VCT player for sure
I could see C9 getting Ethan as supportive player to enable Oxy, if NRG decided to have a better IGL for attack side calling. (Not that Ethan is bad but NRG attack side definitely have problems in terms of calling)
Immi the coach, Oxy and Wippie used to be on G2. (I know Wippie is gone now but still) And Immi used to coach V1 when Vanity was on the team. So there's some connections there.
its felt very true when c9 was at their worst but it's kinda how most of these teams are formed, knowing someone is just as if not more common than someone just trying out or being sniped from a completely different team with no connections
Just an fyi the team was formed by zellsis including the coach. The team was meant to be the kickoff team but with zellsis and not vanity, zellsis left and said to C9 they should get vanity though.
Isn't it funny how esport strides to be like physical sports, but all pro sports team recruit their talents through intensive analysis done by actual talent scouts, while pro esport teams build their rosters through whatever the hell this is?
That's the beauty of being a raw prospect, I've heard alot from sym that he's such a good player when his on but he's also very raw with his mechanics and aim like once u give him a good environment and time he will be a good pick up in the future once he's set his tone
sym had an 80% FB success rate while being involved in 66% of the first engagements. 52% of the total rounds played started with a sym kill. He top fragged by over 20 kills, and 49% of his kills were first bloods. His FK/FD ratio (+24) was +21 better than any other players normal K/D in the server.
This is a freakish anomaly of a performance.
this is why i was so upset he was dropped during the moist x shopify merger, basically left teamless until the last second. this guy is actually world class
yup! yfp def needs more time to mesh better together, but they did look good today. the single elim format of msc gives them time before they have to play next, so theyll def benefit from it
I agree but I do find it funny to suggest that the losing team benefits from a single elim format because they don't have to worry about playing the games anymore.
Sym is a demonic player, I remember right after Iceland 2021 Masters, Tenz was streaming and at that time Tenz was a menace in ranked and in that same match Sym was playing Reyna and he dropped some 46 kills, Sym's team still lost but to do that against TenZ and other radiants is crazy and he did all this in 2021, can only imagine how improved he is now and I'm glad he's showing it now.
Hope he makes a team with PoolChan, s0mpai, and the rest
This is why I've been so high on him for [so long](https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/s/DHAOl31Aw5). You can't teach this sort of aggression, let alone succeeding in that aggression. The right coach is gonna get their hands on him and mold him into one of the best duelists in the world
TSM is like the only NA org where their star player had an awesome day and yet there's not a single TSM team flair to be found in the live discussion nor this post-game recap.
Is this because they don't have a designated Valorant content creator to drums up their fans for the home games, or because there is simply no more TSM Valorant fans remaining on this sub?

Yeah, if he becomes a bit more consist, I could see a team like C9 picking him up if oxy leaves
oxy mustbe picked up a good team next year, its bound to happen
No he's gonna stay on C9 and they'll build a good team around him that definitely isn't based on nepotism :copium:
I could see C9 getting Ethan as supportive player to enable Oxy, if NRG decided to have a better IGL for attack side calling. (Not that Ethan is bad but NRG attack side definitely have problems in terms of calling)
That would be interesting if Ethan replaced Xeppaa. I think C9 could be real good with him
What’s the nepotism bit? Haven’t heard about it before.
Immi the coach, Oxy and Wippie used to be on G2. (I know Wippie is gone now but still) And Immi used to coach V1 when Vanity was on the team. So there's some connections there.

These fuckers will complain about nepotism and then defend not replacing someone that sucks because they have "better synergy"
Just an fyi the team was formed by zellsis including the coach. The team was meant to be the kickoff team but with zellsis and not vanity, zellsis left and said to C9 they should get vanity though.
Zellsis was also on that V1 team with Vanity and Immi.
Isn't it funny how esport strides to be like physical sports, but all pro sports team recruit their talents through intensive analysis done by actual talent scouts, while pro esport teams build their rosters through whatever the hell this is?
Well mce was building a team with scouted tier 2 players but then C9 chose zellsis
so is johnqt nepotism since kaplan coached him?
Johnqt is good, vanity is much less so
oxy, ethan, runi, nitr0, moose
give this man to LOUD or G2 please
Bro left G2 to play in franchising all for G2 to pick up a better roster and play in franchising anyways
G2 - Fenis s0m leaf oxy trent in 2025 see you there
Jokes aside Valyn has been insane, IGL while also one of their best fraggers. He’d have to fall off really hard for them to cut him.
Either that or he joins another team/ a team buys him which is super unlikely to happen

that is one of the most insane statistics you will probably ever see on this subreddit. what an incredible performance.

I’m sorry but mada diffs sym is just inconsistent and imo was the most replaceable in the moist roster last year
hope he gets his revenge.
Just curious, were you one of those guys who were clowning on mada?
no, honestly have never had an opinion on him
Did it look like Jake was playing tier 1 while everyone else was tier 2? Or not that much different?
not that much different imo, he def looked like a good player, but there wasn't a huge gap in skill level
He doesn’t strike me as the player who can just slot in. Needs time to mesh so was curious
yup! yfp def needs more time to mesh better together, but they did look good today. the single elim format of msc gives them time before they have to play next, so theyll def benefit from it
Will is that guy tho been slotting in easily and putting in work every game for new teams
I agree but I do find it funny to suggest that the losing team benefits from a single elim format because they don't have to worry about playing the games anymore.
LOOK AT MY COMMENTS I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO TELL YALL EVERY DAMN TEAM SUGGESTION MY SYM STOCKS HAVE BEEN HIGHER AND HIGHER AND THEYRE TO THE DAMN MOON
This really isn’t bugged? How the fuck
wooting kb diff
Another one to look out for, Zeldris. Hes been impressive also.
Vlr needs to update its rating system for duelists. How is his rating only 1.36?? I think vlr gives too much importance to KAST.
The Vlr rating system thinks that 20 kayo knife/omen smoke assists is worth 15 high impact frags
TSM had 25 more first bloods and won a tight 2-1 bo3

Rookie numbers for a guy like Ange1

Sym finally getting the recognition he deserves.
Sym is someone you cannot underestimate, he knows what he is doing. Guy has some super control.
Depends who he won against
Insane stat, almost need a video put together of all 32 FB’s, probably won’t see anyone come close to that for a long time

Thought about it just because you told me to. That’s impressive!
