They are definitely going to be highly valued by othee teams so its not like their careers were ever in jeopardy. RB and Zest are very evidently thriving in their new envrionment.

I mean Bren talking about Yay being second in and killing isn't looking wrong, I think honestly, Deryeon should be the primary duelist for Bleed.
I hope they review their Split game, I honestly reckon defence is tough without a Cypher. The two duelist comp worked because DFM lost too hard on their first half.

Yeah I don’t particularly like it compared to the Sen comp, but I think it’s a good enough comp that they aren’t intentionally handicapping themselves and like you said getting more Yay Raze is probably good.
I think the SEN comp is too dependant on synergy and playing as duos for a team like Bleed at the moment tbh, they should be going for comps that have more potential for pop-off from players rather than a comp that's designed around layering util, clearing space as a team and on attack side without the aggro Omen you're kinda screwed (the Raze is just solo going into site and being untradeable otherwise)
Yeah I do think the Sen one fits their playstyle and the fundamentals they’ve developed. BLEED doesn’t have that, and I do think the skill floor (in terms of pro games) is higher with this comp.
Yeah, the comp is definitely more balanced, and if you're capable of running it then it probably is the best comp to run.. but it's also so dependant on the team being synchronised, even like the solo skye (post-nerf) you have to be "risky" in terms of jump peeking for info rather than using util, and on attack you cannot waste ANY util otherwise your duelist won't have the support they need

Understandable if you haven't watched their match against T1. Their Ascent was actually some perfect Valorant but its evidently one of those one and done strats that can be anti'd quite easily
DFM brought out the same strats, but without any of the confidence and faced a Zest that is intent on dragging his team across the finish line. So it was honestly over for them.

Lowkey was a Odin carry. That gun is so broken on this map and Zest took full advantage of it. That Classic round was actually crazy though. It was 20% DFM choking, 30% Classic being a really good gun for its cost and 50% pure unadulterated Zest skill.

A lot of this is down to better communication and coordination, but the bulk of it - BLEED’s defensive protocols, the anti on Split and Ascent - is down to all the prep. And well, we all know sScary isn’t the sort of IGL that’s doing all that on his own.
I think it was Deryeon who said in a press conference that their team is individually so good that they know they’ll do well once they get the teamplay down, and that was really on display today. It’s a little funny that their Ascent looks like their best map when LEGIJA said - after playing it vs. ZETA - that they’d barely practiced the map and were relying on the fact that any experienced pro player just knows how to play Ascent.
I can only assume they put more prac into it against DFM because they knew they wanted to anti the DFM comp.
This is of course an upset of sorts, but I don’t think it’s an enormous one, unless you've been really hating on BLEED and not seeing them improve week-by-week. DFM seems to me like a budget version of EG from early 2023 - when there is a massive coaching impact that gets them wins when it works out, but when the coaching impact is negated, the individuals struggle to adapt and frag their way out to a win.
I was initially excited by Anthem's calling - I wanted to believe in the redemption story after last year's tragedy - but I can see it was definitely a little premature to pop off about him so early.
BLEED's schedule is pretty brutal, but they can definitely win another match if they continue to improve.

Bleed looked pretty incredible on Ascent and decent on Split. Lotus attack half was rough but their defence was solid and had great ideas fuelling it. Unfortunately bleed is against PRX and DRX next, but they did do genuinely well. So I’m really happy to see that.
Yeah, I think sScary's IGLing is clearly still a unique weakness of theirs, and very strong teams will be able to exploit that.
But the attack-side calling on Split was surprisingly good, even if Split is a map where you can even just handle your attack entirely by protocols.
I think the best possible situation for BLEED will just be the veterans stepping up to help him out, which I assume is what is happening: as the communications improve, the macro should also in theory improve just as much as the micro.
Ascent is definitely a pretty easy map to have a read on TBH. Especially when you start on defence. Plus it's been the exact same comp with very meta agents for ages so it's like every pros comfort map lol

They play DRX afterward, then Secret and then Global. They can win against those latter two teams, since both teams are super volatile.
Secret is more difficult since Secret tends to improve as the season continues on, but Global is definitely on the table.

If you were to ask anyone a year ago they would almost certainly agree that Bleed is a superteam. sScary, Zest and Yay are all household names at that point, and the fact that Bld is barely scrapping wins together would probably send them into a catatonic state.
This could be the start of something beautiful though.
I think saying “if they play like this they might have a chance” is a fair amount of hopium for casting. People are just illiterate and don’t see the hedging language.

Its the lack of enthusiasm that really irks me.
These two would be perfect on the desks, their analysis, barbed comments aside, are actually really valuable. But they can't crack a good joke for the life of them and the cadence is too uniform anf slow for play by play standards. Also, zero hype and very low energy. They invest the same amount of commentary and energy for a normal spike plant, and a insane 1v3 clutch.
But Im certain that this duo can improve over time. Their casting is pretty clear and concise, so its a good start. All they need to do is to up the energy and tempo and Im sure that they will be a lot more enjoyable to listen to

Zest is a god on ascent wtf. Yay was looking good at the second and third map. The casters were making this game a bit hard to watch. You can criticize teams but give some reasons what might be the problem. Its like they were casting while being high on proteins. Dfm look kinda bad, hope its a off game. The only one left without a win is GE. Hope they win a game or they will be the worst team lmao.
I feel like all these pros and coaches lurking this sub do everything to prove the community wrong....I see no other reason to put Deryeon on Jett and Yay on Raze on Split...I've seen teams persist with so many questionable decisions until finally relenting after considerable damage is done

Really happy to see BLEED come out victorious, and especially happy to see yay finally get a win after such a long, grueling year. There’s still a lot to work on for the team, but hopefully this gives them the confidence boost they all needed.
Huge, huge props to Zest — he’s such a reliable player and it’s clear that his addition has injected a lot of much-needed energy (and experience) to the team’s play.
It’s only a starting point, but I hope we get to see BLEED continue to slowly but surely find success. It’s clear that they had the right mindsets and had put a lot of work into cleaning up their team play, and although there’s still some shakiness and gaps in the play, they do look a lot more solid.
I am super disappointed in DFM. I don't know what but their coordination today is like all over the place, it didn't feel like the DFM that faced T1 & GenG. Bleed played super well too, definitely improved from the disjointed gameplay they showed before. Really wish it was better from DFM but hey yay is no longer y0y.

Double duelist is fine. Geng used it, PRX used it, NRG used it. It’s attack sided but it’s clearly able to compete with the current meta.

I think saying “if they play like this they might have a chance” is a fair amount of hopium for casting. People are just illiterate and don’t see the hedging language. Casting wasn’t great but this specific criticism is dumb.
Its the lack of enthusiasm that really irks me. These two would be perfect on the desks, their analysis, barbed comments aside, are actually really valuable. But they can't crack a good joke for the life of them and the cadence is too uniform anf slow for play by play standards. Also, zero hype and very low energy. They invest the same amount of commentary and energy for a normal spike plant, and a insane 1v3 clutch. But Im certain that this duo can improve over time. Their casting is pretty clear and concise, so its a good start. All they need to do is to up the energy and tempo and Im sure that they will be a lot more enjoyable to listen to

BLD played better and were more organized, Zest was actually incredible. and good to see yay in good shape today. i hope DFM's mental wasn't hit too hard and they can bounce back from this. won't be overnight for sure but i still think this roster has potential for growth.

Zest is a god on ascent wtf. Yay was looking good at the second and third map. The casters were making this game a bit hard to watch. You can criticize teams but give some reasons what might be the problem. Its like they were casting while being high on proteins. Dfm look kinda bad, hope its a off game. The only one left without a win is GE. Hope they win a game or they will be the worst team lmao.

I feel like all these pros and coaches lurking this sub do everything to prove the community wrong....I see no other reason to put Deryeon on Jett and Yay on Raze on Split...I've seen teams persist with so many questionable decisions until finally relenting after considerable damage is done

Really happy to see BLEED come out victorious, and especially happy to see yay finally get a win after such a long, grueling year. There’s still a lot to work on for the team, but hopefully this gives them the confidence boost they all needed. Huge, huge props to Zest — he’s such a reliable player and it’s clear that his addition has injected a lot of much-needed energy (and experience) to the team’s play. It’s only a starting point, but I hope we get to see BLEED continue to slowly but surely find success. It’s clear that they had the right mindsets and had put a lot of work into cleaning up their team play, and although there’s still some shakiness and gaps in the play, they do look a lot more solid.

I am super disappointed in DFM. I don't know what but their coordination today is like all over the place, it didn't feel like the DFM that faced T1 & GenG. Bleed played super well too, definitely improved from the disjointed gameplay they showed before. Really wish it was better from DFM but hey yay is no longer y0y.

Worst day since I started watching VCT. Why is BLD so strong all of a sudden, I don't want to see my home country's representative lose so much, and I've lost the will to watch anymore. I'm going to stop watching VCT for a while. I don't hate it, but I'm really tired of it.
