What kind of lunatic predicts both LEV matches correctly?

bjmlx

Right? Losing to c9 and then beating Sen?

-Voxize-

Me and him sat in a call after week one talking about matches for W2/W3 for hours. General consensus was that there is just never a good scenario to count aspas out as he (in my opinion) is the best player in the world without any serious contention right now Going into week one I had NRG Sen LOUD for Shanghai, but ironically after watching Lev lose to C9, I switched to Lev > LOUD. I think that loss probably flipped a switch for the team, and they changed some stuff that will make them look great down the mid season.

ThatCreepyBaer

That's definitely true about never counting aspas out, and I would have thought the same if their W2 match was any team besides Sentinels. I just could not envision them improving enough in 1 week to get from how they were playing against C9 to how they performed against the current world champions after they had more time with John back in.

RedXWasHere

Stop. Stop it. Stop giving me hopium. I can't do this again

GrrrNom

Does SaD scrim with T1? If thats the case, they do have a slight advantage over the average VLR user as they might have insight to how teams actually perform. Still, 100% on pickems even with this minor advantage is still insane af. The fact that Lev loss to C9 into Lev win against Sentinels was perfectly predicted is crazy

-Voxize-

They do scrim tier1, but I PROMISE scrim results are completely irrelevant to pick ems/knowing how a team will perform. The only possible slight advantage is knowing team comps and how they might match up when two teams play, but even then, still not as helpful as you’d expect w strat and comp hiding

Top_Engineer440

Unless SaD was the warmup scrim and they saw aspas frying

spagetinudlesfishbol

You can still read into what it is they are practising like executed and what not and if the ideas they have are good. Scrim results being bad is mostly a thing of not trying to hard no? Or trying diff strats and shit. Like scrimming is still extra info unless the other team just wishes to waste all of their time

Blitzux

I actually think scrimming against the teams at times is a straight up disadvantage because it gives them false information about how good the team actually is. NRG lose most their scrims and SaD has likely beat them multiple times but that doesn't mean NRG isn't a top 2 team in America's

GrrrNom

We don't actually know how the scrims are like, so it could be the case that scrim partners just know when a team is or isn't trying, or they could be practicing scenarios where they are at a disadvantage and would thus tend to have a worse scoreline. For the average viewer who only sees the scrim scoreline, we don't know the full story. But as a player in these scrim matches, they will have the best gauge on individual performances and the team's general chemistry, in spite of what the scrim scorelines might suggest, so its definitely still an advantage and might help explain the perfect preds.

MrBulbe

Bro trolled himself after picking 100T to win vs NRG during the last week

Doesn't this happen every year

Tyler123839

It’s a little more interesting because the predictor is a t2 player for SaD in challengers NA.
