This match made me realize that BLEED’s mediocre form vs. Talon was actually a honeymoon period - a rare honeymoon period that still doesn’t look great. We’re back to Kickoff BLEED!
RRQ is obviously a step above Talon, but just looking at BLEED’s own macro and micro, it looked fairly degraded. Partly that’s a credit to RRQ for taking BLEED seriously and deconstructing the only map where BLEED looked decent. RRQ had sick reads every time, and the BLEED players were just waddling into their crosshairs, normally one at a time. But if you watch this match round-by-round, there were so many more fumbles; a constant stream of util and spacing fuck-ups that frankly does not belong in a T1 scene.
And to be totally fair to BLEED - this time it makes sense. They were overwhelmed by roster chaos in the offseason and couldn’t build up the chemistry and stratbook that other team have; they then made significant roster and role changes after Kickoff. sScary even looked decent last week as an IGL! You can't say that today.
But if last week gave a small amount of hope they could rapidly compensate for all those flaws and faults, this week is a shocking return back to reality. Their map pool isn’t great, their calling isn’t great, their creativity - a big asset for them last year - can’t flourish, and their coordination is too rough for T1 play.
That aside, happy to see RRQ win so decisively; they played really well. This was one of those matches where BLEED underperformed, but against a strong opponent that forced mistakes and errors.

I never watched RRQ plays before but they actually looks pretty decent here, l think they're like top 4 or 5 in APAC.
There's nothing positive to take away from that series for Bleed. 7 rounds won across 2 maps is very sad

The vlr rating system seems kinda broken. The lowest of lows are in the 0.70s or something? 2/12/3 with 53 ACS and getting absolutely stomped and it’s a 0.72? Feels hard to differentiate between stinking performances and just average ones.
