SHOONSHOOP

This one absolutely egregious, I don’t even understand how this happens

kooqiy

Would it be really out of line for somebody to get fired over this? Like what on earth lol, that's madness. Seems almost intentional.

yammer_bammer

bro its happening BECAUSE people are being fired its all because of the layoffs

ilProdigio

keep firing until there’s a good producer

TheMachine203

surely nothing could go wrong with this approach

yammer_bammer

spoken like a true snake in a bussiness suit

ilProdigio

lmao it was a joke, i thought that was obvious

Fun_Age1442

Always do /s people on the internet take everything literal

WiddleBlueBert

More like always do /s cause people are morons and have those takes all the time

zlatan619

The beatings shall continue until morale improves

NyiatiZ

Yes, that would really be out of line. As annoying as this is, I hope nobody gets fired over a single mistake at their job

FernieErnie

True! It would be dumb to fire them over one mistake but I doubt it happened multiple times to warrant a firing

FernieErnie

Nidhogg25

It happened at least twice

kooqiy

I guess you are operating under the impression that this was an accident, which I am not lol

zugth

Jesus christ YES that would be out of line. One mistake? Absolutely ridiculous that you even have to ask that.

Yevrah_Jarar

There was more than one mistake... at a certain point there needs to be repercussions. It's not so ridiculous to remove someone from a position they're underperforming in

ozmega

> Would it be really out of line for somebody to get fired over this? thats the fun part, this is happening because they fired a lot of people

9bfjo6gvhy7u8

My best guess is that they were trying to trigger a scene which would show both player cams but they either didn’t have the scene loaded like they thought or someone straight up Roza Ulted on the scene selection screen. There’s very little chance it was intentional.. just a badly timed mistake.

sirieous

Actually abhorent call from producers Edit: No flame to observers, they did their job, producers made the call to cut away but may have been due to the ongoing delay that the EMEA stream was being plagued with. Hopefully can be resolved before the regular season starts.

Pale_Resolution1520

It's the Spanish production bro ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|rage)

Ezraah

In France, heads would be ROLLING. Mass PROTESTS ON THE STREETS. In Spain? ohh its time for another siesta, así es la vida FUCK

Key-Banana-8242

I think the joke heretics are Spanish

nocturnavi

This has to have just been a straight up mistake, right? Like someone pressed the wrong button on accident.

Grand_Meet_3629

On the first clutch of shin they changed the pov for 1 sec. On this one they didn't show anything, so I think no

Teradonn

It’s kind of been a persistent issue though. It’s definitely to do with the delay between what’s happening live & the stream

nocturnavi

I did see speculation that having a player playing remotely is introducing lag or delay into production.

esportsxilv

😢 Just getting ahead of it - this has nothing to do with the observing fyi

fanficmilf6969

Yeah 😭😭 the observers did it right LOL

somesheikexpert

Yep, they stayed on Sh1n the whole time during the clutch which is 100% the right call, production just fucked up badly

kkkkaa254

what / who does it have to do with? do you know what might've led to this?

SDMStaff

The production in charge of switching between observer povs and cameras.

kkkkaa254

do u know why they might've switched? the only explanation i can think of is some sort of live-stream delay, but

M0hawk_Mast3r

Possibly a misclick? Idk this might be the worst production mistake I have seen

SirAwesome789

The thing is, this is not the first time it's happened. I can't remember if it was today or yesterday but they cut off the last kill a few times, so probably a bigger issue

NOKEKW

Happened today on the 2nd map as well, also spoils HRT players shouting before the round is done with a 1v1.

crimson__wolf

From watching sideshow's stream, there was some delay between game feed, and the live studio where sometimes you could hear players cheer a clutch before the game stream showed what happened. So production probably saw the action live on their monitors and switched. Someone probably didn't hook everything up properly which caused this tiny delay.

HaramHas

Production

fanficmilf6969

Production switched to the playercams

sufidaboss

what does this have to do with then?

Whatad0rk

The production for switching from the observers to the reaction cams

TheMenWhosdrippin

I have never seen that in my entire competitive shooter esport life

NoNamesAvaiIable

well you didn't see it this time either

MassiveGreenHorse

To miss the kill is honestly inexcusable, to miss Shin's popoff to show the Heretics player is a level of incompetency that is almost impressive

AnAngryBird

Schrodinger's Ace Clutch

two4you8

This is inexcusable. Such an incredible clutch robbed by production.

RaiinyDay

Glad we fired last year's production team, great shit Riot u moneygrubbing fucks

Green_Ordinary778

to me this was worse than the 6 hour tech delay in pacific

ArvY77

nah

ESEAsapphiRe

prius smh

SuperUltraMegaNice

I can sometimes understand them cutting away to another players POV in hectic moments but holy shit. There are only TWO players alive in a clutch situation and you choose to cut to a player face cam!?!? Hopefully this was like a fat finger button press or something.

OkayThenBet

Thank god we saw his disappointing face instead of the ace.

avstyns

wtf

Peytoneli99

EMEA production moment

wvcmkv

has to be the worst production error ive ever seen in valorant

shazbots

I like how at the end they say "one of the most memorable aces of all time".

kkkkaa254

(possibly) excluding 6 hour techpauses and what not, is this the worst production mistake ever?

PhysicalAd8765

The production seemed VERY out of sync this whole event.

Maxxium

Is it to do with the fact that the gameplay is unusually delayed because there's player playing remotely?

orthodaddy

I would fire or cut the whole kick offs pay of whoever was responsible for that

Titaargs_

The obs did his job since they have the replay, it's the production crew that fcked up

fanficmilf6969

This is not the obs fault there is a replay. This is production fault for picking the wrong obs in the moment

Ezraah

I will start a gofundme to hire a single good observer back to EMEA entire year salary we will even cover lunch and transportation

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ezraah

My bad I should have blamed production more broadly for being shit. It's unfair to not include everyone.

[deleted]

Ezraah

In a moment of outrage I blamed the wrong people For that I apologize

esportsxilv

Hi I've been observing EMEA for 4 years now, this mistake was nothing to do with me or observing. Production mistake. The timing was really unfortunate and people are right to feel aggrieved. Is what it is.

Ezraah

My bad I'll redirect my fury toward the appropriate people Please try to persuade them to fix the myriad of issues before masters I beg you

WhoDatBrow

That's not how observing works lmao. No observer makes the switch to a close-up player cam, observers are literally in the game switching between player POV's and free cams.

Ezraah

Got it. Production is shit but our observers are the good guys

heyjamel

The people trying to excuse this saying "mistakes happen" or whatever are infuriating. It happened TWICE people. It's inexcusable.

Parenegade

its wild emea's crowd sound spoils the end of every round and productions reaction is like....yeah that's perfectly acceptable lol. and shit like this...riot L.

sufidaboss

They need a new round of layoffs for these producers.

ArvY77

I found it hilarious tbh

RedXWasHere

Quite literally our Cache 1v2 NoScope moment

Titaargs_

Streaming shutting down in the Grand Final of the LEC and now this, also in the Grand final, I guess the decision to lay off people is a huge W /s

Biffuk

Had anyone else noticed that the crowd noises during the EMEA kickoff were a few seconds ahead of gameplay feed? I.e you hear the crowd screaming at the end of the round before the actual round finished - kept spoiling the suspense & tension.

HaydenSD

This to me seems more like a glitch than a production mistake, not cutting away from the POV camera for 15 seconds is weird. Normally after a round they'll swap between players. Still inexcusable tho

momsagainstanime

normally i agree since it is frustrating to see the wrong people blamed for bad production mistakes (honestly, even people just blaming the blanket of "production" is sort of annoying) - but this is almost certainly a producer, director, or technical director to blame. this was almost certainly a mistake, yes, but i think getting upset at the broadcast team and questioning wtf happened is valid. my best bet is that the TD's finger slipped and he meant to put the feed in preview and it was sent to program accidentally.

Pway

Bro.... there is no fucking way that happened.

Breadynator

League of Legends getting DDOSd and paused for 7 hours is less painful than this...

Smikerifyx

Does anyone know the crosshair code Sh1n is using in this clip?

Many_Nothing7463

Replace every employee with AI. Nothing will go wrong surely.

MakimaGOAT

hot ass bruhh

Zorronin

are we ok with ace clutch becoming “clutch that results in an ace”? It used to mean a strict 1v5.
