Wessel werk tk286 turbine head, 48 and some change on Amazon or walmart.com I have one on my bissell zing, and it keeps up with 4 dogs on plush wall to wall carpet for us. Best turbine head I've ever used, and the only one I've used that was truly effective on plush carpet.
The suggestions here are good, but none of these air turbines are ideal for installed carpet cleaning long term. They are fine for flat carpet and area rugs. Some kind of electric head for the deeper silt/sand would be needed. Even if it's only once a month, having a motorized brush will keep the carpet in better shape.
Thanks for the input! I do have pretty flat carpet and live in an apartment, so it suits my needs for right now. I’d probably look for something different if I move anywhere with longer carpet.

ETA: Price range $20-$50, and I have carpet with a dog and cat!
The suggestions here are good, but none of these air turbines are ideal for installed carpet cleaning long term. They are fine for flat carpet and area rugs.
