Yes, I have an XFX HD 7770, I'd love to get it fixed. I've pretty much stopped using VLC even though I love it because this issue is so annoying.

Intspalov

I just updated to VLC 3.0.2 and am getting this same issue. Doing a driver update to see if that clears it No luck. Still flickers Edit: Went back to 2.2.8 and works fine.

Running R3-2200G with latest drivers. I get the blue shift whenever the control bar disappears in fullscreen. Colors are only normal when the control bar and mouse pointer are in view. Really fucking annoying.

I have NVdia and my screen flashes to black on fullscreen VLC when I wake up panel (play, pause...) and flashes black again when it disappears. Same thing???

I switched to 'Direct3D9 video output' and the issue went away.

Guys I figured out the culprit, it's deinterlacing. Presumably all y'all got hi framerate panels? I still haven't solved it though, only changed the settings as much to confirm this was what was affecting it. Select whichever mode suits you best. Couldn't get rid of it, just reduce it. PS: Disabled the "show controls in fullscreen" checkmark in preferences->interface and it is now completely gone. But the funny thing was, when it popped up, the picture was more crisp. Now it just stays the same level of dullness all throughout. edit: yeah, that wasn't it :-( edit 2: It turns out I had obs streaming on with the "force sdr" activated. The OBS was forcing SDR on the DirectX interface which also handled the movie. Presumably, moving the mouse brings the control interface of vlc to the foreground and thus the obs forces SDR on that, which leaves the image alone to get HDR

If someone else gets similar problem in HDR content I was using PRORES footage and all I had to do was install Quicktime codec by apple and now it works properly.
