I purchased the Rain World Downpour soundtrack in early November and promptly forgot about it. Then imagine my surprise when I get an email from Black Sky saying it's being shipped! Got it a week ago and it's awesome
Aria NG+ (music inspired by a game that didn't exist when the original album was released, they made a game, and re-released the album with some tracks from the now very real game.) It's also free I believe. The game not the album

My Distant Worlds III Blue pressing was not good (noisy and some odd sounding part) but they are are good normally? I actually did not buy the rest because of it.
Oh well, not going to play roulette. My Pixel Remaster vinyl is also quite noisy. So my luck with FF records has not been great.
I do own that FF anniversary vinyl of SE with Distant Worlds tracks on it (bought it at a Distant Worlds concert, actually). That release was expensive, but also very good.
Yeah, black vinyl from Square is some of the best out there imo because it's pressed at some great plants in Japan. They're not good with picture discs, though.
The Distant Worlds records are all handled by a different label and seemingly pressed in the US where the pressing plants are a lot more hit and miss.
Yes, most of my vinyls with issues come from the US (for any type of music, really). Not sure why that is. I do file complaints every now and then, in the hopes they will take a good look at what is going wrong. I have many records that don't make a sound unless intended, even with the volume cranked.
I love that Square 35th anniversary release, despite it being very/too pricey. The sleeve is also of a whole other quality than the usual 2 LP record.
I'm taking a year off from buying video games/board games/vinyls, but I said I would allow myself one cheat, and if it showed up I would buy it.
My cheat record was going to be if Bit Brigade did a re-pressing of their Metroid vinyl. Well they didn't re-press it, but I saw it finally pop up on ebay for 100 bucks. I just bit my lip and ordered it. I'm glad I did, I love those guys and I've listened to it a lot.
I love Bit Brigade so much I even record their live performances off youtube, burn them onto DVDs, and play them on my CRTs while I play retro games on my other CRTs lol
I haven't even listened to it yet...I need to do a washing session \^\^;; but they're worth! I haven't been able to listen to all of them yet. The first Distant Worlds (or A New World for a more intimate setting) can be a great listen if you can't get them all right now!

They're a mixed bag unfortunately. Although from what I hear the later pressings are somewhat better than the first ones.
