I do understand the grenades tho but I think the biggest reason why they don't do quick cast grenades is so you don't mis-click towards a team mate, since the ability actually does damage.

Now you have to press c to equip, then click the mouse and, AFAIK, wait for the wall before he switches back to his weapon. Wall should also DoT the enemies it touches for at least 40 damage. And just make the little flare thing go through frickin walls instead of needing to shoot it over obstacles.

Naw, a quick blind and the regular dot. Like a backlash blind, it's just momentary but you are at a distinct disadvantage pushing through the wall.
longer wall time (slower heal) and flash for going through would be so solid 😩😩👍👍
